It was just last night that he finally made up his mind.

The 29th came very quickly.

The weather had turned cold, and with the temperature dropping over the past few days, Gu Shengyin put on a long trench coat when she went out.

Mother Xu hadn’t told Gu Shengyin that she was going to see her younger daughter.

Mother Xu looked at her, her gaze tinged with sorrow.

Gu Shengyin steeled herself. "Mom, I’m sorry."

She turned her head away, pulled down her eye mask, and stopped looking at Mother Xu.

Mother Xu didn’t say anything more. With her mind still full, Gu Shengyin actually dozed off amid the smooth yet monotonous flight.

She woke again to the announcement that they were about to land.

She lifted her eye mask, and what she met was Mother Xu’s gentle gaze.

Mother Xu held her hand. "Yanyan, I won’t force you. I originally thought, you two are the only sisters you’ve got, so if your relationship is good you can look out for each other in the future. If you really don’t like her..."

She paused for a moment, then still finished what she had to say: "No matter what, as long as you’re happy with your own life, that’s enough."

Gu Shengyin felt a weight lift from her heart.

As expected, in every parent’s heart, their tolerance for their children is endless.

Even when she’d made a request that could practically be called willful.

The plane landed safely, and the mother and daughter exited the airport.

At the same time, a certain man who was about to head to Xia City also hurried over.
