Chapter 1303: Chapter 1303: Aurelia Shaw Imprisoned for Murder

Mason Nightshade was browsing economic news on his phone, and put it away when he saw her coming out, a smile touching his lips as he said, "Nothing."

He stood up and grabbed Aurelia Shaw’s hand, his fingers locking tightly into hers.

"Let’s go."

...

Aurelia Shaw held two marriage certificates in her hands, glancing left and right, unable to stop the upward curve of her lips.

Mason pulled her onto his lap, his arms circling her from behind, and took the marriage certificate from her hands, casually placing it in the car’s compartment.

"So happy?" Mason asked in a low voice, his thin lips curving upwards.

"I’m happy too," Mason added.

He leaned down to kiss the top of her head.

Aurelia opened her phone and took a look, her eyes lowered.

In the morning, she had sent Balthazar Shaw a message, but he hadn’t replied.

Could it be that he hadn’t seen it yet?

"What’s wrong?" Mason seemed to notice her unease and asked in a low voice.

"It’s nothing." Aurelia shook her head, casting aside the miscellaneous thoughts in her mind.

Mason’s gaze grew deeper.

Aurelia hesitated for a moment and said, "I haven’t told my brother about us remarrying. Once he knows, he’s bound to reprimand me harshly."

Mason held her hand, squeezing her soft fingers, his voice indulgent, "After we take care of the affairs here in Capital City, I’ll go with you to M Nation to explain. I’ll give you a grand wedding, and this time, I’ll let everyone know you belong to me."

Aurelia did not refuse sentimentally. Although being married would undoubtedly be a burden on her acting career, currently at its peak, she did not care. The company she founded had now found its footing; in the worst case, she could retreat backstage.

Though she hadn’t achieved her goal of winning an acting award, with Mason by her side, these things no longer mattered to her.

"Let’s never part in the future, okay?" Mason’s gaze grew deeper.

"Okay."

They had even gone through life and death together, what could possibly separate them?

It turns out Aurelia had truly guessed wrong.

The car suddenly stopped, and Aurelia looked out to see several police cars blocking their path. A policeman knocked on the window, "Aurelia Shaw, please come with us to the police station. We suspect you’re involved in a murder case."

Aurelia’s body abruptly stiffened, and at the mention of the murder case, she instantly recalled Nolan Lawson’s death.

Is it Nolan Lawson’s case?

"Which murder case?" Mason’s voice sounded.

"Well..."

"What, on what grounds do you accuse someone of murder if you can’t even say which case it is?" Mason’s tone was calm, yet carried a trace of chill.

The policeman’s body immediately tensed, "The Nolan Lawson murder case, Nightshade, you should have heard of it. We’ve found direct evidence of the murder."

"Hmm?" Mason raised an eyebrow.

The police knew there was no point in hiding. Who was this in front of them? What was his relationship with the president? Everyone in China knew that if you wanted to know about a murder case, it would be easy to find out. "Nightshade, we found the weapon, and we’ve tested Ms. Shaw’s fingerprints on it. This is direct evidence..."

The rest was unnecessary to explain.

The murder weapon and direct evidence, unless Aurelia could prove she had a solid alibi, otherwise the accusation of murder was set.

But at the time of Nolan Lawson’s death, Aurelia was present at the scene!

This murder accusation was unavoidable.

It was obvious that someone was deliberately setting her up from behind; the weapon was forged. What could Mason do even if he protected her? It would only lead them deeper into the enemy’s trap.
