Top-class Bodyguard

Chapter 1486 - 1462: Ren Changye

  • Next Chapter

At this moment, Ren Feng stepped straight onto the mountaintop, and in front of his eyes was a crowd of Ren Family disciples standing in strict formation.

Some of the Ren Family disciples he'd seen yesterday were among them as well.

"I'm telling you, not just anyone can come to the Ren Family. You'd better leave here immediately."

The leading Ren Family disciple spoke righteously, but his voice still trembled a little.

They'd already heard about Ren Feng's terrifying strength yesterday. This guy—they weren't his match at all.

The other Ren Family disciples still held Magical Artifacts in their hands. Their expressions varied, and some even had killing intent in their eyes.

Ren Feng merely swept his gaze calmly over these people, then looked toward the back and said indifferently, "Why bother sending these people here to die? Just come out yourself, Ren Changye."

As he spoke, Ren Feng directly struck out with a palm. Terrifying True Qi turned into a mighty gale, blasting all of these people flying!

Boom!

The mountain-crushing, sea-toppling force made this crowd of Ren Family members, who were only in the Yin-Yang Realm and Life and Death Realm, utterly unable to resist; every single person was sent hurtling through the air!

The group was blown away like dust scattering, tumbling backward, while Ren Feng's expression stayed indifferent as he looked ahead.

Just then, the Ren Family's main gate opened, and those few Guardians from before came out.

"You're not my opponents. Move aside, I'm here for Ren Changye." Ren Feng said flatly.

The several Guardians exchanged glances. "We are the Guardians of the Ren Family. You must pass through us first."

"Hmph."

Ren Feng let out a cold snort. In the next instant, a cold gleam flashed in his eyes. He took a step forward, and his figure vanished completely.

The four Guardians' faces grew solemn, and in the next moment Ren Feng appeared beside them, flames wreathing his hand as he slammed viciously toward them.

Boom!

That palm strike was dodged, and the carved statues atop the courtyard wall behind them crumbled and collapsed with a thunderous crash under that blow.

One Saint Realm Guardian thrust his right hand toward Ren Feng, clawing straight for his heart, while another's Divine Sense turned into a sharp weapon aimed directly at Ren Feng's Soul Sea.

There was even one who produced a Magical Artifact in his hand and smashed it toward Ren Feng.

But yesterday, the four of them together had already proven no match for Ren Feng. How could they possibly be his opponents today?

Residual afterimages trailed behind Ren Feng as he suddenly vanished from his spot. His terrifying Divine Sense surged outward, ruthlessly counterattacking toward that Saint Realm Guardian who had lunged at him.

In the next instant, one of them staggered, his face changing drastically, feeling as if his head had been fiercely hammered from within.

The Guardian reaching to grab Ren Feng was instead seized by the wrist, and with a crisp crack, his wrist was twisted and broken!

Ren Feng struck a palm onto his body, then sent him flying. The other expert wielding a Magical Artifact was forced straight back by a single finger from Ren Feng.

Yet no visible technique manifested; shock rippled through his heart as he raised his head to look at Ren Feng, only to find the man already in front of him, smashing a brutal palm onto his chest.

Boom!

This man too was knocked to the ground.

The remaining three Guardians were then also taken down one by one by Ren Feng. He looked at the four fallen men without any change in expression and stepped directly inside.

Some Ren Family disciples nearby had deep dread in their eyes and didn't dare strike recklessly.

Ren Feng stepped inside. In the pavilion ahead sat a middle-aged man in black, legs crossed. He was extremely handsome, eyes closed as if unaware of Ren Feng's arrival.

As soon as he entered, Ren Feng fixed his gaze on this man. There was no doubt—this was Ren Changye!

Ren Changye opened his eyes, a cold flash passing through them as he looked at Ren Feng.

"I didn't expect the bastard son of that brother of mine to grow up to this point." Ren Changye said mildly. "But why come here just to die?"

"To die? You're that confident?"

"It's called strength."

"I'm pretty confident in my strength too."

Ren Feng stared coldly at Ren Changye. "And besides, why send those people over just to die?"

"If you can wear down an enemy's strength, even by a single thread, any method is worth using, regardless of the other consequences."

"The values you believe in do fit your methods very well. Did my dad die by your hand?"

Ren Changye looked calmly at Ren Feng. "You want to know what happened back then?"

"I just want to know how my dad died. Did you kill him?"

"Back then, your father overestimated himself and tried to contest the position of Patriarch with me. Naturally, he ended up with that kind of fate."

"You killed him?"

Ren Feng's eyes locked onto him, icy cold, his gaze already filled entirely with chill and killing intent.

"When two heroes vie for supremacy, one must die. Only when the other side is dead can one fully grasp the Ren Family."

Ren Feng fell silent, but his right hand closed to the side, terrifying radiance gathering, condensing directly into the Heaven-Slaying Sword.

"Want to know how your dad died? Come closer, I'll tell you."

A cold smile curled on Ren Changye's lips as he sat in the pavilion, his face brimming with confidence.

He was now in the Transcendent Realm. To kill Ren Feng would be as easy as flipping his hand.

Ren Feng walked toward Ren Changye, the Evil Qi around his entire body almost solid in form.

The Heaven-Slaying Sword in his right hand also flickered with light.

"Back then, your father was sitting right here in this pavilion, face-to-face with me. I invited him to drink." Ren Changye's face twisted with a cold smile as he spoke. "Because Mr. Ren was dead, the Patriarch's seat was empty, and the only ones qualified to inherit it were me and him. He said we should compete fairly; I said fine, then poured him the wine I'd brought."

"You know what? Your father, Ren Changqing, was basically a fool. He actually drank it. I'd poisoned it, and he still said he believed in me. Tell me, isn't someone like that… a complete idiot?"

The cold smile on Ren Changye's face grew heavier, and then he threw his head back in loud, wild laughter.

"Ah!"

Ren Feng, who had been walking forward, suddenly broke into a run. In an instant, he pushed off with his foot and soared into the air, the Heaven-Slaying Sword in his right hand hacking viciously downward in a single strike!

A terrifying sword light erupted, slashing straight toward Ren Changye ahead in a flash!

Ren Changye, who had been laughing, reacted extremely fast. Almost instantly, he kicked out with his foot, sending the table in front of him flying toward Ren Feng.

Crash!

The table was cleaved cleanly into two halves, the sword light's speed undiminished as it lunged straight for Ren Changye!

Ren Changye slapped out with his right hand, and a flute-like Magical Artifact flew forth, cleaving toward Ren Feng.

But he had underestimated this sword from Ren Feng—or rather, underestimated the Heaven-Slaying Sword itself.

The savage Sword Qi was incomparably sharp. That Magical Artifact cutting across the air shattered segment by segment before it could even get close.

Ren Changye's face finally changed.
