Chapter 1783 - 503: Secrets of the Soul! Lu Changsheng Passes 100 Soul Steps, Enters Sky Dragon City!

No one would have thought that Zhang Yuan was the first to falter.

Zhang Yuan actually had quite a good willpower.

He had kept silent for such a long time.

Unfortunately, a limit is a limit.

Strong willpower is useless.

Zhang Yuan didn't even say a word; he fainted as soon as he stepped onto the Ninth Layer of the staircase and was then sent back to Flying Dragon City.

Everyone exchanged glances and fell silent.

As they continued to the tenth level of the staircase, Liu Yuan and Xia Zhuang also couldn't endure it anymore, disappearing at the tenth level and were sent back to Flying Dragon City.

There's a reason they have until now only remained ordinary Transcenders.

"Qingluan, can you hold on?"

Lu Changsheng asked.

"Not a big problem."

"It's quite strange. At first, the pressure was immense, but as I advanced, it felt increasingly lighter, as if a force kept pouring into my body…"

Lin Qingluan said with confusion.

"A continuous force pouring into your body…"

Lu Changsheng's heart stirred.

He glanced at Flying Dragon City where many Transcenders looked dejected and unwilling.

They all fell under the pressure and were sent back to Flying Dragon City.

These people are the failures.

Yet within Lin Qingluan's body resides the Luck Divine Tree.

Many Transcenders climbing the soul staircase are actually competing with Lin Qingluan.

Even just ten levels into the staircase, Lin Qingluan had already eliminated numerous Transcenders.

Even if these Transcenders contributed little luck.

But there are just too many people in Flying Dragon City.

So many Transcenders each contributing a bit of luck, it's a terrifying amount of luck.

And the role of luck is clearly significant.

It even seems somewhat "all-powerful."

Luck is omnipotent.

Cultivation, comprehension, and more.

It now even includes the mysterious soul, which luck can also assist with.

"Qingluan, it should be the Luck Divine Tree helping you."

"You're right. Carrying the Luck Divine Tree means you should venture out more. Surpass some Transcenders, your Luck Divine Tree can absorb their luck, thus aiding your cultivation. The more people you surpass, the easier your cultivation will be."

"No wonder it's a Supreme Treasure in the Great Universe. Perhaps we've all underestimated the Luck Divine Tree…"

Lu Changsheng said to Lin Qingluan.

The two communicated through transmitted voice, and Lie Yang by their side was unaware.

After all, the matter of the Luck Divine Tree must remain confidential.

An open spear is easy to dodge, but a hidden arrow is hard to guard against.

Neither Lu Changsheng nor Lin Qingluan would proactively reveal the matter of the Luck Divine Tree.

It seems now that the Luck Divine Tree can also aid Lin Qingluan through the soul staircase.

This is a good thing!

"Let's continue."

Lu Changsheng and Lin Qingluan continued downward.

The tenth level, eleventh level, twelfth level, thirteenth level…

As time passed, Lin Qingluan truly felt more and more relaxed.

On the contrary, Lie Yang became increasingly heavy-hearted.

It seemed every step bore tremendous pressure.

He is a Realm Master, after all!

Initially, it was quite easy.

But after the fifteenth and sixteenth levels, he felt evident pressure.

Beyond twenty levels, his pace slowed significantly.

Clearly, this soul staircase isn't easy even for a Realm Master like Lie Yang.

Yet this seems unrelated to cultivation.

Lu Changsheng saw some ordinary Transcenders too.

Their cultivation is average, but on the soul staircase, they appeared relaxed.

They had walked to the forty to fifty levels.

Twenty levels, thirty levels, forty levels…

It must be said, Lie Yang had commendable resilience.

He sustained until the forty-second level, then Lie Yang stopped.

He glanced at Lu Changsheng and Lin Qingluan, regretful but ultimately sighed heavily: "Enough, my limit is here. I can't progress any further with you, hoping you can successfully reach Sky Dragon City…"

As he finished, Lie Yang voluntarily descended the soul staircase.

Lu Changsheng looked around.

The familiar faces who initially joined on the soul staircase were now gone.

Only the two of them remained.

Lin Qingluan looked at Lu Changsheng, worriedly asking: "Changsheng, how are you doing? If it's really not possible, then forget about going to Sky Dragon City."

By now, Lin Qingluan wasn't worried about herself at all.

Because she found the further she went, the less pressure she felt.

No pressure at all walking on the soul staircase.

It felt just like walking on a regular path.

If not for wanting to walk further together with Lu Changsheng, she would have reached Sky Dragon City long ago.

Lu Changsheng hadn't anticipated he would become a "burden" to Lin Qingluan.

"Hold on, let's rest for a bit."

Lu Changsheng halted at the forty-second level.

He felt significant pressure already.

Despite being able to keep walking.

But he felt that if he continued to endure, he might not make it to Sky Dragon City.

If only Lin Qingluan arrived at Sky Dragon City, they would have to part ways later.

After all, Lin Qingluan lives in Sky Dragon City, and Lu Changsheng, even as a Realm Master, couldn't descend to Sky Dragon City.

Even if they were separated, would they still be Dao partners?

So, if they don't want to part ways, either Lin Qingluan gives up, or Lu Changsheng also reaches Sky Dragon City.

But Lin Qingluan has waited long for such a chance.

It concerns cultivation, how could she give up?

Since Lin Qingluan cannot give up, there's only one way.

Lu Changsheng must also enter Sky Dragon City!

"The soul staircase tests the soul, but what is the soul? According to Fang Chuan the Great's statements, the soul emphasizes spirit, will, yet isn't entirely so, then what is the soul truly?"

"If comprehending the soul or figuring out a way, I can't seamlessly enter Sky Dragon City…"
