Top-tier Unruly Master
Chapter 2368 - 2403: The Mothman Tribe’s Honored Guest
When Wang Zhongjian arrived at the entrance of the Barbarian Lands, his Divine Sense happened to detect the fluctuations of a teleportation ban below, and Ding Fan and Ye Li had just disappeared there. Two warriors were guarding the area, preparing to quickly activate the defensive Great Formation.
"Chi chi!"
Wang Zhongjian directly killed them, then charged into the teleportation mechanism.
Upon appearing in the Barbarian Lands, he found that he was still surrounded by poisonous mist, preventing his Divine Sense from tracing Ding Fan's whereabouts.
After flying out and using his Divine Sense to search again, he found that he had once again lost the trail of Ding Fan and Ye Li. The surroundings were filled with a strange race, all female soldiers of the Rakshasa Tribe.
"Swoosh, swoosh, swoosh!"
Skeletons danced in the sky, with many Rakshasa Tribe eyes sparkling, trying to enchant Wang Zhongjian. Wang Zhongjian, filled with rage, began a bloody massacre. Without any extra movements, a mere flick of his fingers and swaths of Rakshasa female soldiers turned to dust.
The Rakshasa Clan Members were terrified and fled in all directions. Wang Zhongjian did not pursue them; instead, he captured a Flying Rakshasa, interrogating her about Ding Fan and others' whereabouts and the situation in the Barbarian Lands.
The Flying Rakshasa spoke in an ancient language, but Wang Zhongjian, being a Central Plains person, had some understanding of it thanks to the Wang Family's thousands of years of heritage.
From the mouth of the Flying Rakshasa, he learned some news: Ding Fan, this Great Demon, had very good relations with a major family here, the Mothman Tribe, and had gone to seek shelter with them.
Ding Fan was considered a Great Demon because the Rakshasa Tribe said he had killed many of their members and was an enemy who could not coexist with them.
Wang Zhongjian didn't think much of it. To him, how significant could any figure be in this foreign world? Experts were certainly not abundant...
He seized another Rakshasa Tribe female soldier and interrogated her for a while. After getting the same answer, he asked for the direction of the Mothman Tribe and chased in that direction.
After Wang Zhongjian left, Herr Ningshuang and the Night Queen emerged from a mountain in the distance, relaxed expressions on their faces.
Wang Zhongjian was successfully drawn to the Mothman Tribe, and the subsequent events were beyond their control.
The final outcome would depend entirely on fate.
The territory of the Mothman Tribe is in the center of the Barbarian Lands, occupying the most precious land of the entire region, Moth Immortal Mountain.
This mountain is particularly rich in Spiritual Energy. There are many minerals under the mountain, which can yield a lot of Spiritual Materials, and the mountain top nurtures a rare type of Spiritual Medicine year-round. When several dozen families came here, they all coveted this place.
Moth Immortal Mountain was not originally known by this name, nor was it owned by the Mothman Tribe. It was occupied by another powerful family. Over time, as wars over resources raged, only sixteen tribes remained from dozens of families. The Mothman Tribe had never participated, watching the tigers fight from the mountain, ultimately becoming the biggest winner of the wars and occupying Moth Immortal Mountain.
Later, the Giant Tribe tried several times to occupy this place, but many experts of the Mothman Tribe could Instantaneously Move, making it impossible to kill them. Instead, the Mothman Tribe ambushed and killed many experts of the Giant Tribe, so the true overlord of the Barbarian Lands should be the Mothman Tribe. If the Giant Tribe Leader weren't also a Seventh Level in the Gods and Buddhas Realm, the Barbarian Lands would have long been unified by the Mothman Tribe.
In the Barbarian Lands, two figures were flying at high speed.
Ding Fan and Ye Li were flying together, at Ye Li's strong insistence. This way, if Wang Zhongjian caught up, Ye Li could block for Ding Fan, allowing him to escape first.
They flew straight towards the Mothman Tribe territory. Ding Fan did not release his Flying Divine Sword; he flew entirely by Ye Li's support, drawing the attention of many races and families, but Ye Li was so fast that before those people could react, they had already disappeared into the distance.
Ye Li did it on purpose!
He only wanted to attract Wang Zhongjian to pursue them, deliberately exposing his location. If Wang Zhongjian didn't chase, their efforts would have been in vain.
The entrance of the Barbarian Lands is a two-day journey from the Mothman Tribe's territory. The so-called two-day journey refers to Ye Li at full speed. On a regular airship, it would take at least fifteen days.
Ye Li flew at full speed, without resting, regardless of any races or tribes ahead.
"Whoosh~"
After flying for half a day, strange figures appeared in the air ahead. Ye Li and Ding Fan's reckless flying enraged the Great Tribes in the Barbarian Lands, and they were stopped by powerful experts of a great family.
Blocking their path were three strange beings, each over three meters tall, with two horns on their heads. They all had long white hair and blood-red eyes, resembling the white apes from the Divine Realm.
The double-horned white apes let out a massive cry from afar, babbling in some indiscernible language, but Ye Li understood their speech. He translated to Ding Fan in a deep voice, "They say this is the territory of the double-horned white apes and we should leave."
Ding Fan's eyes darted around, noticing that the double-horned white apes hadn't started attacking immediately. So he said to Ye Li, "Tell them we're friends of Er Li, Patriarch of the Mothman Clan. Er Li invited us to visit, we're just passing through here and won't do anything harmful to them."
Hovering in the air, Ye Li politely conveyed this to the double-horned white apes. The prominent figures of the Mothman Clan responded with more gibberish, expressing disbelief. To the races of this barbaric land, the Human Race is their direst enemy, and Ding Fan seemed to be purely human, unlikely to be an esteemed guest of the Mothman Clan.
Listening to Ye Li, Ding Fan said, "Tell them I also belong to a special race called the Wolf Claw Tribe."
Ding Fan's arm gleamed as his Purple Gold Wolf Claw emerged. The double-horned white apes were skeptical and hesitated; they were affiliated with the Mothman Clan and couldn't bear the consequences if they offended a guest of the clan.
Ye Li's family belonged to one of the ancient tribes, making him easily recognizable. After a while, a male double-horned white ape agreed to let them pass but insisted they be watched closely.
There was no opposition from Ding Fan; they truly didn't intend to cause trouble, just passing through. So Ye Li led Ding Fan forward, accompanied by two double-horned white apes all the way until they left the territory of the white apes.
"Wait a moment!"
After pondering, Ding Fan had Ye Li stop, instructed him on some matters, and asked the white apes to be wary of Wang Zhongjian, who was trailing them. He advised them that Wang Zhongjian is a skilled human, who sneaked in mid-way intending to seize resources from the Barbarian Lands, urging the apes to be cautious.
After Ye Li conveyed this to the white apes, he flew off with Ding Fan.
Whether the white apes would confront Wang Zhongjian was no longer their concern; it was merely casual advice. If they managed to intercept him, all the better.
Flying forward, they frequently entered territories of bizarre races. Ding Fan and Ye Li repeatedly claimed they were not from the Human Race, but alien races, both esteemed guests of the Mothman Patriarch, on their way to Moth Immortal Mountain.
During these encounters, Ye Li would always explain that a skilled human was trailing them intending harm to various races in the Barbarian Lands, leaving it to those races whether they believed it or not.
...
"Bang bang bang~"
Much to their prediction, half an hour after leaving the territory of the white apes, Wang Zhongjian had caught up. The double-horned white apes were at a heightened state of alert, as three Sixth Level experts from the Divine Realm immediately ascended to the sky, accompanied closely by some Fifth Level experts.
However, Wang Zhongjian was a Seventh Level expert from the Divine Realm; the double-horned white apes dared not make a move. Instead, warnings were dispatched, asking Wang Zhongjian why he was intruding into the Barbarian Realm, questioning his intentions, and demanding he leave the Barbarian Lands promptly.
Wang Zhongjian specifically came to kill Ding Fan; he couldn't possibly regard the small white ape tribe as a threat. He defiantly inquired in ancient language whether Ding Fan and Ye Li had passed through here, his words anything but courteous.
The result was inevitable — they began to clash directly. The double-horned white ape tribe suffered miserably; three Divine Realm Sixth Level experts were slain outright by Wang Zhongjian, while other Sixth Level experts fled in great panic, incurring heavy casualties.
Wang Zhongjian captured a white ape tribe member and interrogated them for Ding Fan and Ye Li's whereabouts, learning they had only just left, and were esteemed guests of the Mothman Clan, now heading towards Moth Immortal Mountain.
Armed with this information, the response to the inquiry confirmed the direction taken by Ding Fan and Ye Li. Wang Zhongjian pursued without hesitation, certain that Ding Fan was seeking refuge with the Mothman Clan.
Subsequent developments enraged Wang Zhongjian. During his chase, he was repeatedly intercepted by strange races, engaging in several battles and interrogations. All races insisted Ding Fan was an esteemed guest of the Mothman Clan.
Wang Zhongjian eventually extracted another piece of information: the Mothman Clan also had a Seventh Level expert from the Divine Realm!
This revelation worried him deeply, momentarily bringing a sense of relief. It made sense why Ding Fan would escape here, seeking aid from the Mothman Clan — they possessed a Divine Realm Seventh Level expert.
Wang Zhongjian's resolve quickly hardened; even if the Mothman Clan had a Seventh Level expert, he was determined to fight to the death, as this was his one and only chance. A Seventh Level expert from the Spirit Dragon Hall would arrive soon, meaning if he failed to kill Ding Fan this time, he would die in the Barbarian Lands or in the Northern Wastelands, returning home impossible.
Eventually, Wang Zhongjian ceased interrogating the alien races, speeding forward as fast as possible, slaughtering anyone from any race who blocked his path.
However, Wang Zhongjian remained unaware...
