Chapter 1695: Chapter 45: Go Offer Your Apologies...

  • Next Chapter

The highest-ranking angels are gathering together.

This is the Hall of Holy Angels, where the highest-ranking angels gather for meetings on a daily basis… There are many seats in the Hall of Holy Angels, but there is only one main seat, which belongs to the Archangel Leader who commands the entire angelic army of Heaven.

Many legends surround the Archangel Leader… Within the entire Heaven’s system, the rank of the Archangel Leader is not lower than that of the Saint Heir.

At this moment, in the Hall of Holy Angels, the Archangel Leader, clad in silver armor that covers even his face, is seated at the head.

Below are Raphael, Gabriel… As for Uriel, he has already descended—and presently, the matter being discussed in the Hall of Holy Angels is Uriel’s descent.

“Too reckless, this descent of Uriel.” Gabriel speaks first, “She… she’s inside this world! Michael, you shouldn’t have kept the search for Metatron from us this time.”

The Archangel Leader at the head remains silent, indifferent to Gabriel’s mention of “her” being present in Sub-world 003.

Gabriel furrows her brows once more and says, “I understand the importance of searching for Metatron, and I am not displeased with your actions this time… But we all know that the sub-worlds within single-digit numbers are mostly quite dangerous. This time, if it weren’t for discovering the news of Hamaliel and the deaths of five other angels, would you have chosen not to inform us at all, despite having taken action?”

The Archangel Leader then calmly says, “I command the entire angelic army, and searching for Metatron is my mission. You and I are responsible for different functions… Moreover, it’s not that I didn’t inform you, but rather because I thought this matter, even if I didn’t say anything, you should be able to guess. Gabriel, I gave you time… yet, you never came to find me nor informed me about the matter of Sub-world 003.”

“I was investigating matters of the Transcenders in the gaps, how was I to know you would return so quickly?” Gabriel furrows her brows and says, “I rushed back as soon as possible… are you blaming me? Her matter is extremely significant, and I can only speak of it within the Hall of Holy Angels; how could I let my subordinates relay the message back to you?”

The Archangel Leader shakes his head, calmly saying, “Perhaps you believe that her presence is special, but from my perspective, she no longer belongs to Heaven… This issue never needed to be concealed. Father never intended to hide this matter. It’s just you who acted deliberately, deceiving all of Heaven.”

Gabriel slams the table, slightly angry, “I cannot let another Lucifer appear… Was it not clear at the time how he fell to become the King of Hell? Who is she? If Heaven learns how she was severed from Heaven… Michael, don’t you fear a rebellion from an entire army of Heaven’s saints? That was her army, loyal only to her; you are merely managing it temporarily during her absence!”

The Archangel Leader calmly says, “We are all here as followers of Father, as brothers and sisters, without divisions nor allegiance to anyone. Even if the truth was known, their faith would still endure the test, and they would reborn purified.”

Gabriel snorts coldly, “I don’t know if they can withstand the test or not! All I know is that they have never obeyed your repositioning… Since her absence, Wings of Heavenly Kingdom, in name, has been under your command, but who doesn’t know that Wings of Heavenly Kingdom has never moved with your archangel military, nor has it garrisoned in Heaven, instead always lingering at the origin of her legend! If the Transcenders invaded, would Wings of Heavenly Kingdom have allowed those arrogant beings to ruin Heaven at that moment?”

“I have already said, she is no longer a disciple of Heaven.” The voice of the Archangel Leader deepens.

Gabriel more deeply replies, “Her saint body is still here… right inside the Tower of Pray-Along!”

The Archangel Leader suddenly says, “Soon, Wings of Heavenly Kingdom will become purer. Their faith will gain a new unity, truly becoming a force of Heaven.”

Gabriel’s expression stuns, as does the always silent Raphael’s.

Gabriel can’t help but frown, “Michael, what do you mean by that?”

The Archangel Leader replies, “You’re right, we shouldn’t allow the appearance of a second Lucifer… Since you all conspired to conceal her severance, missing the best opportunity for honesty, the error can only be rectified.”

“What exactly do you mean?!”

The archangel gently says, “Do you know why I initially placed her saint body in the Tower of Pray-Along, exposing it to the purest faith without interruption?”

The long-silent Raphael suddenly looks up, his face slightly changed, “Michael… are you saying, a new Holy Soul has already been born within her saint body?”

Upon hearing this, Gabriel’s eyes widen instantly.

The Archangel Leader calmly says at this point, “Soon… I have poured in the sources of several sub-worlds. The newly born Holy Soul may not be as brilliant as she once was, but it won’t be much different. Shortly, she will once again appear before the eyes of Wings of Heavenly Kingdom.”

The two seraphs below simultaneously fall silent.

After moments, Raphael gravely asks; “Whose decision is this… yours, or?”

“Mine,” the Archangel Leader openly admits, “But Father knows of this matter, and hasn’t stopped me; that’s sufficient.”

“That’s her saint body… what if she becomes aware?” At this moment, a hint of worry crosses Gabriel’s face, “But now that it has gone this far… Michael, I just hope that this matter is limited within the Hall of Holy Angels.”

“Even if known, it doesn’t matter.” The Archangel Leader says indifferently, “Since she has already belonged to that place… as long as the interests are sufficient, regardless of her feelings, she won’t act—let’s cease discussing her matter here. Next, let’s discuss Lucifer. Gabriel, you should have brought Lucifer, this sinner, back at that time, rather than giving such a ridiculous punishment.”

Gabriel shakes his head, “The power to seal Lucifer comes from that place; if I take him away, it’s hard to say I won’t disrupt the operation of that place.”

“You’ve become timid.” The Archangel Leader coldly comments, “It’s just a place for exchanging any goods, never a so-called force worth fearing… With enough commodities, even using that place as our hired hands is sufficient. What is it that makes you fear that place so much—is it merely because Heaven was purchased from them?”

“Within Heaven, probably only you don’t regard this matter as significant.” Raphael shakes his head, revealing a bitter smile, “I heard Gabriel mention, the club owner has changed to someone else, no longer the one we knew before.”

“Regardless of who owns it, the rules remain the same,” the Archangel Leader unwaveringly states; “As long as the rules exist… said club owner merely remains a puppet under absolute interest, at best offering more souls, nothing to fear about.”

Gabriel opens his mouth, but finds nothing to say… he cannot assume Michael is being reckless—in fact, Michael’s attitude might actually be correct.

Under sufficient interests—providing enough interests, indeed grants wanton usage of that place’s power.

Yet what’s looming seems like taboo power, and if utilized wantonly, it’s tantamount to continually depleting other sub-worlds for more resources… such behavior, uncontrollable, might not be beneficial.

Does Michael… believe he’s capable of self-restraint?

“What noise?” Raphael suddenly furrows his brow.

Right as Gabriel ponders, faint tremors seem to ripple through the air… subsequently, even the Hall of Holy Angels’ giant conference table surrounded by seraphs starts subtly vibrating—like an earthquake.

“The entire First Day, an earthquake?!”

Gabriel abruptly rises—Heaven’s First Day, the residing place of all angels, akin to the Immortal Realm like Peach Blossom Spring, sends waves of tremors.

Rumbling—!!!

There were days and nights, but it had always been the blue clear sky and the clean night of Heaven. Now, suddenly, it was covered with dark clouds… lightning and thunder.

“Could it be the Transcendents?!” Raphael frowned!

Since the last invasion of the Transcendents, Father has reinforced the perimeter of Heaven. Even if those so-called Thrones among the Transcendents join forces to interfere again, they wouldn’t easily open Heaven’s gates again.

No interference, where does the changing sky and thunder come from?!

Rumble——!!

A huge thunderclap sounded—at this moment, a broad lightning bolt directly broke through the layers of clouds at the Cloud Summit of Heaven, striking the Tower of Pray-Along with unstoppable force!

Boom——!

The Tower of Pray-Along suddenly released a dazzling light, but after embracing this thunder, the purest light of faith in the Tower of Pray-Along instantly dimmed significantly.

Inside the Hall of Holy Angels, the expressions of many Seraphim changed slightly—even the Archangel Leader, covered entirely in silver armor, involuntarily clenched a fist, crushing a corner of the table.

In fury!

“Damn it! Is it the Transcendents again? This is the most severe provocation to Heaven!”

In an instant, a multitude of Angels soared into the sky from the land of Heaven… yet within the shadowed clouds covering the whole of Heaven, thunder rolled like a pool of lightning, and numerous great dragons of lightning swam within the pool.

The momentum was so grand that it instinctively instilled a sense of fear even in Angels who were never fearful… faces growing pale one by one.

But this cloud-covered sky gradually dissipated… it came suddenly and left even more enigmatically—having only struck the Tower of Pray-Along once.

“Just the Tower of Pray-Along?” The Archangel Leader frowned, rushing from the Hall of Holy Angels towards the Tower of Pray-Along instantly.

Not long after, the Archangel Leader returned, with Raphael and Gabriel approaching together, “What happened?”

Only to hear the Archangel Leader speak in a low tone: “The newly born Saint Soul… disappeared.”

“What?!”

…

Eden.

In the beautiful Flower Sea, a lazy figure slowly rose from a bed of flowers… a great serpent slithering beside her, curling into a seat, gently lifting her.

She smiled at the withered figure sitting quietly in the Flower Sea, “You seem to be called John, right? The chosen substitute by It, something interesting seems to have happened outside, but it seems it hasn’t disturbed you?”

The withered figure slowly opened its eyes, “Before Father left, he placed me in Eden… I can only stay here in Eden. Unless Heaven is at the brink of existence, why should I leave.”

“You are calm indeed.” She… Cleopatra abruptly chuckled lightly, “It chose you correctly. If there were more like you in Heaven, perhaps it would have progressed further by now.”

The withered figure said calmly, “All are Father’s best children.”

Cleopatra replied indifferently, “It seems someone has attacked too many worlds… doesn’t even realize they’re expanding.”

The withered figure remained silent momentarily, then slowly spoke, “Ms. Cleopatra, it appears you know where this rampant malice within Heaven comes from?”

“You consider it malice?” Cleopatra slowly shook her head, “You may not yet understand what true malice is… but whatever, you can consider it malice.”

As she spoke, under the puzzling gaze of the withered figure, Cleopatra suddenly stretched lazily and yawned, “It seems, perhaps I don’t need to wait until the contract expires for a vacation… truly makes me look forward to it.”

The withered figure frowned once more.

Cleopatra slowly sank into the Flower Sea… as she was about to disappear, her voice suddenly arose: “I may not be very clear what the Archangel Leader did, but for the sake of this flower sea letting me sleep comfortably, here’s a very sincere piece of advice for you.”

“Please speak.” The withered figure… John looked slightly more solemn.

“Go apologize… using the soul of this Archangel Leader.”

That beautiful, unparalleled silhouette just vanished, the great serpent entwined in the Flower Sea disappeared as well… John involuntarily fell into deep thought.

…

…

…

…

In the depths where sunlight cannot reach… a massive light-shadow moves through the darkness: the Sapphire.

Suddenly, the Sapphire’s speed gradually slowed.

Finally, it anchored before a massive deep-sea trench.

And thus, His Majesty the Emperor of the Undersea City’s voice resounded in the ears of everyone on this voyage, “Everyone, we’ve arrived at the Sonam Trench!”
