Train Survival: I Can Evolve Everything!

Chapter 873: Upgrade Options and Proud Armed Fear

  • Next Chapter

"Huh? Why so few?"

Ye Qiyan still remembered that when he had raised the Train to level twenty, he had drunk quite a few Spirit Potions.

Even though he hadn't paid much attention at level twenty-one, it shouldn't have been this few either.

"Hey, maybe it's because I slept for so long that my spirit quality improved again?"

Consuming less was a good thing. He didn't dwell on it further and shifted his attention to this round of upgrade options.

[Unlocked, Level Twenty-Two Train Upgrade Options]

[Option One: Private Customization - Virtual Avatar Compendium (200 Train Coins)]

[Option Two: Bronze Craft - Micro Vision Body (Level 8) (1,800 Train Coins)]

[Option Three: Ultra Black Light Alloy ×1 (700 Train Coins)]

"Why only three? And so cheap? No wait, what am I saying... cheap my ass."

Having finished reading this batch of options, Ye Qiyan blurted out instinctively.

But he quickly slapped his own mouth.

Three items, two thousand seven hundred Train Coins.

For someone now sitting on over ten thousand Train Coins, it was indeed a price he could easily afford.

It was just a little hard to get used to.

[Ding dong, it will take two more levels before Miatira can prepare upgrade options for you~]

Ye Qiyan was just about to purchase these options when Miatira's voice sounded by his ear, extremely faint.

"You're not thinking of saving up something big for me, are you?"

[Ding dong~]

Ye Qiyan pursed his lips. He wasn't worried though. He refused to believe that with his current rate of earning money, he could possibly end up unable to afford something.

This time, the advantage was truly his. He, Ye Qiyan, had completely shed his identity as a poor man!

Probably...

With a relaxed mood, he bought all three upgrade options.

As usual, he started with the first one.

[Private Customization - Virtual Avatar Compendium]

[Upon acquisition, gain Train Conductor Module - Virtual Avatar Creation]

[Activate the module to create a chibi-style virtual avatar. After creation, different types of emote packs can be automatically constructed through [language]/[text]/[expressions], usable in System chats.]

"I just said I wanted those emote packs and here they are. But this kind of pure entertainment thing is worth two hundred? Crooked merchant."

Extract, use, construct emote. Ye Qiyan's gaze then moved down to his second option.

Its form was a semi-transparent, multi-faceted crystal ball, with something resembling dust inside.

But upon closer inspection, that dust was actually numerous triangular mechanical devices.

The level of craftsmanship of this item had reached an extremely insane degree.

[Bronze Craft - Micro Vision Body (Level 8)]

[Can be mounted on any [micro] [same-type] mechanical lifeform. After mounting, the [micro] mechanical lifeform can undergo combined transformation into a [giant] state. Furthermore, it can transmit visuals and sound regardless of distance.]

[Note: The Bronze Tribe excels at creation.]

Bronze Tribe?

No wonder a Level 8 item could sell for such a high price.

Things related to those few races all seemed to be low-level but high-priced.

"This thing is obviously meant for the Nano-Bee Swarm. Not bad. And it's only Level 8. Let's Sublimate it and see."

[Spirit: 481→301]

[Bronze Craft - Micro Vision Body (Level 8) → Bronze Craft - Micro Walker (Level 9)]

[Equipped mechanical lifeform can perform one march-warp per day]

Gained a Space-type ability.

After equipping it to the Nano-Bee Swarm, it would let them return faster after a battle ended.

Not bad at all.

Then it was time for the last one.

Or rather, through this last upgrade option, manufacturing that guard he had named Armed Fear.

[Ultra Black Light Alloy]

Just as its name suggested, it was a block-shaped black metal with a glossy, oily sheen.

The moment Ye Qiyan extracted it and placed it on the table, it instantly crushed the table and embedded itself heavily into the Train's floor.

"Pretty heavy."

A piece of metal that looked palm-sized from the outside actually weighed no less than an ordinary Endless.

And to think the Endless Mech was already a heavy-class unit.

Just how much would a mech-soldier made from this weigh? He didn't even dare to imagine.

Worthy of being ultra-heavy class. The materials used were this fierce. No wonder that Miss Ailei from the black market said this thing was hard to find.

"I remember Miss Ailei said this piece of metal was worth three thousand Train Coins. Upgrade options really are cheaper."

Ye Qiyan picked up the metal from the floor with his hand.

"Phew, minus that three thousand, that leaves four thousand nine hundred and twelve. So that means..."

He carefully calculated the Train Coins he would have left after purchasing the remaining materials.

"Plus today's five from the Great Dragon Card, that's two thousand four hundred and eleven. Looking at it this way, I'm actually pretty rich."

A wealthy life is rare~ Money is always meant to be spent anyway.

He opened the black market, bought all the remaining materials, then directly summoned the Processing Station at the Armament Hangar and placed that figurine-like manufacturing Blueprint on it.

[Blueprint Confirmed - [Ultra-Heavy - Armed Fear Guard]]

[Beginning Manufacturing]

[Warning, this hangar bay area has insufficient load-bearing capacity]

[Armament Hangar area reallocating]

The Hangar's intelligent voice sounded from the broadcast.

An extra-large space, taking up a full two and a half normal bays, was laid out as the mechs autonomously relocated.

Augustine, Lancelot, and the others all gathered around. Every single mech was curious about what this new companion, who had caused such a commotion, would look like.

Within the enormous hangar bay.

The Blueprint flew in and shattered apart.

A massive phantom of a mech was outlined in midair by countless lines.

All the materials flew up under the Processing Station's power.

The Mind Magic Cube and the high-grade gravity-type mechanical core combined and were the first to arrive at the mech's chest.

Immediately after, Demon Metal, GT Memory Metal, and Ultra Black Light Alloy were decomposed and fused in midair by spontaneously generated spirals, ultimately forming a special dark gold liquid metal.

This liquid metal flew toward the mech's Frame, wrapping around the Mind Magic Cube and mechanical core as it gradually manufactured the [Armed Fear Guard].

Skeleton, muscle lines, inner and outer armor...

When the core reactor on its chest began to spin.

A super-giant mech, towering at a full eighty meters, fixed its mechanical eyes radiating inverted-cross red light upon Ye Qiyan.

Immense gravity began compressing its outer armor and body, shrinking it until it reached thirty-five meters, a limit-compressed small state roughly the same height as Lancelot and the others, before it finally stopped.

Behind it, one cable after another was torn apart by its movement.

The enormous mech faced Ye Qiyan and knelt on one knee.

A cold, severe, yet arrogance-and-confidence-filled female voice echoed from within its body.

"Armed Fear, reporting to the Overlord. May I ask, do you need me to scrap all these useless garbage mechs around you?"

That single sentence was like lighting a powder keg.
