Chapter 82: 82. Fallen Seraph

Lily’s staff spun in a tight arc, another pressurized lance of water slamming into the horned general’s cleaver.

The Hell-Boar under him staggered sideways under the force.

Lina drove her spear forward in a sharp Piercing Spiral, forcing the three purple skeletons to scatter for a breath.

Both women felt it at the same moment.

A new presence bloomed in the distance, sharp and unstable.

It carried two opposing currents at once, holy light twisted together with something darker and hungrier.

Lily’s eyes narrowed. Lina’s grip on her spear tightened.

Even the horned general and the scarred warlord paused mid-motion, turning their heads toward the source.

---

On the Titan’s shoulders Eira stood alone.

Her hair had become a single cascade of ashen-violet and midnight-purple, silver strands catching the light as it moved.

The dual-colored split was gone.

One eye burned pure gold like a small sun.

The other was a deep crimson void that seemed to drink the light around it.

Six invisible wings of mana spread behind her, three holy and three demonic, layered and heavy with presence.

She no longer looked small or fragile.

Her posture was straight, chin lifted, every line of her body carrying quiet authority.

From pure mana density she read as barely C-rank, yet the weight of that presence felt heavier than any ordinary C-rank should carry.

The energy around her fluctuated constantly, rising and dipping as if she had not yet learned how to hold it steady.

She looked down at the red Oni with open disdain.

Kael stood in the dirt below, blood still running from the open cuts across his chest and back.

His eyes stayed fixed on the girl who had just thrown a C-rank demon across the field.

The timid stepdaughter who flinched at raised voices was gone.

In her place stood something that watched the battlefield like it already belonged to her.

Seraphine’s dagger lowered a fraction. Her crimson eyes were wide.

’Eira...?’

The red Oni pushed himself up from the broken trees, living metal shackles coiling back around his remaining arm.

Dark anger twisted his face.

He stared at the transformed girl on the Titan’s back, the same girl he had bound and used as a shield moments earlier.

’She was hiding this. That quiet little thing was holding back the whole time.’

Even so, the raw power she gave off still felt incomplete and unstable.

Stronger than a normal C-rank, yes, but not yet something he needed to fear.

He bared his teeth and started walking back toward the field.

Lust stood among the Mindbreakers, black robe shifting around her curves.

Her pink eyes were wide open, mouth slightly parted.

Of everyone on the battlefield, she alone looked truly shaken.

The six invisible wings. The split of holy and corrupted mana.

She had seen those details before, written in old reports that most rankers never got to read.

Fallen Seraph.

Celestial beings who died and were reborn into this world carrying power that ignored the normal ladder of ranks.

Their wings always came in two sets of three: holy light on one side, pure corruption on the other.

The old texts claimed they had committed crimes so severe that heaven itself cast them down as punishment.

Most people who knew about it wanted them dead on sight.

One of them had appeared a thousand years ago during the final battle against the Calamity Devil.

No one ever confirmed which side she fought for.

She was sighted for only a few moments before vanishing completely.

High-ranking officials from both the human empires and the demon courts spent years hunting her afterward.

They never found her again.

Lust stared at the girl on the Titan’s back.

The resemblance was too clean to be coincidence.

Around her the battle refused to pause for long.

Lina and Lily had already turned back to their own fights.

Water lances and spear thrusts mixed with the wet sounds of cleavers and skeletal blades.

Lower-ranked demons and human adventurers continued trading blows across the torn field, the brief moment of shared attention already fading.

Only Kael and Seraphine still stood frozen, staring at the transformed girl as if the world had tilted under their feet.

Lust’s thoughts turned sharp and amused at the same time.

’It seems no one else recognizes what she is or maybe they think it’s one of her abilities. The queen really hid something this dangerous in a backwater town like Grayhollow, and now she is giving orders to attack the same place.

Does she not know her own daughter is one of the forbidden race? That is impossible... unless she truly is a dumb bitch!’

Eira’s golden eye and crimson void locked onto Kael.

She moved.

The six invisible wings flexed once.

A low pressure wave rolled outward as she launched from the Titan’s shoulders and crossed the short distance in a blur.

She landed hard against Kael’s chest, driving him flat onto the torn ground.

Her knees settled on either side of his hips, straddling him completely.

A bold, almost playful smile curved her lips as she looked down at his bloodied face.

"How DARE he touch you,Dad" she said, voice still carrying that double tone of pure light and deep corruption.

"THAT RED BASTARD HURT MY DAD! I WILL KILL HIM! I WILL TEAR HIM INTO PIECES AND FEED WHAT IS LEFT TO THE DOGS!"

Kael’s mind struggled to catch up.

The timid girl who once hid behind him was gone.

In her place sat a girl radiating abundant confidence and authority.

She straddled him with complete confidence, the ashen-violet and midnight-purple hair spilling over one shoulder in a heavy, luminous cascade.

The golden sun of her left eye and the deep crimson void of her right looked down at him with open ownership.

Her body still carried the soft, youthful curves he knew, but the power rolling off her skin made her more hotter.

The thin fabric of her clothes clung to the swell of her breasts and the narrow dip of her waist.

When she leaned forward, the soft weight of her ass pressed firmly against the growing hardness between his legs, warm and deliberate.

The six invisible wings framed her like a living throne, and the dual-toned voice that left her lips carried a dark, seductive authority.

Heat gathered low in his body without his permission.

His cock stirred and began to harden beneath her.

He cleared his throat, voice awkward.

"Uhm... Eira. Could you please get off me?"

She felt the growing hardness press against the soft curve of her ass.

She shifted her weight once, deliberately rubbing against it, then gave a small, knowing smile.

"Dad, you’re getting so hard for me. But we can’t do that thing now. I have to kill that bastard demon first."

She placed both palms flat against his chest.

Warm dual-colored mana flowed into the open cuts. The bleeding stopped in seconds.

Torn flesh knit together with unnatural speed until only faint pink lines remained.

Kael’s eyes widened.

Even a trained healer would have needed several minutes and a strong recovery potion to manage something this clean.

Eira leaned back, satisfied, then turned her head.

The red Oni was closing the distance again, living metal already uncoiling from his remaining arm and from the stump where his other hand used to be.

The missing limb had reformed into a compact fist of interlocked chains.

Extra metal spikes and rings now jutted from his shoulders and spine, giving his body a jagged, half-armored look.

Eira’s expression darkened.

"How DARE you interrupt my moment with my dad!!!"

She pushed off Kael’s chest and shot forward.

The Oni hurled a thick spiral of living metal at her mid-flight.

The chains never reached her.

Halfway across the open ground they simply snapped apart, the broken links dropping uselessly into the dirt with a sharp metallic clatter.

Her six invisible wings flexed again.

A dense pressure field expanded around her body, shattering any physical binding that tried to form and forcing every lower-ranked demon within ten meters to drop to one knee under the sudden weight.

The power did not hold steady.

The pressure field flickered, dropped for half a second, then surged again stronger than before.

Eira’s flight path wavered.

She corrected mid-air with a sharp twist of her wings, but the dual mana around her body continued to pulse unevenly, rising and falling like a heart that could not decide on a steady rhythm.

The Oni spread mist in a thick wall, trying to hide his movements the same way he had in the dungeon.

Eira’s left golden eye flared brighter.

The mist burned away in an instant, leaving the field clear under harsh holy light.

She tried to use her right eye power but it just flickered and refused to fully answer.

A thin line of blood slid from the corner of that eye.

She pressed forward anyway.

The Oni closed the gap himself.

Chain-fist and living metal lashes came from every angle.

Eira met them with raw pressure and short, precise bursts of dual mana.

Each time the heavy links tried to wrap her, the Six-Winged Dominion crushed them before they could tighten.

The oppressive aura rolling off her body never completely disappeared, yet it kept changing intensity.

One moment it forced the Oni to plant both feet just to stay upright.

The next moment it thinned enough that he could surge forward and drive a spiked chain toward her ribs.

She twisted aside.

The metal scraped across her side, leaving a shallow cut.

Power flared in answer, a sudden spike of holy-demonic force that slammed the Oni backward three full steps.

Then the spike collapsed just as quickly, leaving her hovering with visibly heavier breathing.

The Oni wiped black blood from his mouth and grinned looking at her.

’She can’t control her power yet; look at how wild she’s swinging! It’s just a temporary transformation. I don’t need to defeat her, I just need to stall until it wears off.’
