Chapter 481: The Third Young Master Disliked by Everyone

After making the arrangements, Keith Coleman looked down at the cast on his arm.

Jasper Rockwell was still in Rockwellburg. He hadn’t seen Zane Langdon since the friendly competition ended.

After celebrating that day, he’d rushed back to find Zane Langdon, only to be told by Sean Coleman that Zane had gone to see a friend.

He’d heard that filming for *Rise and Fall* was about to begin. As the lead actor, Zane would definitely have to attend the opening ceremony, and Jasper was ready to resume his duties as his personal assistant.

Besides, he would be filming with Melody again this time, which meant they could have a blast gaming together. The thought alone made him a little excited.

He went back to the hotel where Zane Langdon was staying and knocked on the door to his room.

The door opened, revealing a man he didn’t recognize.

"Can I help you?" the man asked, looking at Jasper Rockwell in confusion.

"Where’s Zane?" Jasper asked directly.

"Zane? I think you have the wrong person."

"Are you the one staying in this room?"

"Yeah, I just checked in yesterday."

Jasper Rockwell froze for a second before quickly saying, "Oh, sorry. My mistake."

He turned and walked away.

’What the hell is with this Zane Langdon? Leaving without even a word? Rockwellburg is my turf, for crying out loud. Since he was visiting, I should have at least treated him to a meal to do my part as the local host.’

As soon as he stepped out of the hotel, Jasper Rockwell pulled out his phone and dialed Zane Langdon’s number.

The phone rang and rang, but no one picked up.

Jasper Rockwell immediately tried Sean Coleman’s number instead.

This time, it was answered after just three rings.

"Sean, where’s Zane?"

"Master Rockwell, Zane is busy."

"Why didn’t you guys tell me you were leaving Rockwellburg? You just up and left! Are you back in Jansburg?" Jasper complained into the phone.

"Yes, Master Rockwell, we’re back in Jansburg."

Jasper Rockwell noticed that Sean Coleman’s tone had changed. He used to always give him grief for being lazy, but now, he sounded more distant.

’What the hell is going on?’

"Why didn’t you take me with you? I’m Zane Langdon’s personal assistant! If I don’t do my job right, President Fairchild will dock my pay!"

"Master Rockwell, there is something I’ve been meaning to tell you. I just haven’t had the chance."

"If you have something to say, just spit it out. Stop beating around the bush."

"Zane no longer needs a personal assistant. Nola and I can handle all of his arrangements. I’ll be sure to mention this to President Fairchild."

"Where’s Zane?! Put him on the phone! Is he avoiding me on purpose? How can he be so petty? It’s not like I did anything other than win one game!"

"Zane really is busy. It’s not a good time for him to talk."

"Not a good time, huh? Fine. I’m heading to Jansburg right now. We’ll talk in person." Jasper’s stubborn streak was flaring up.

’So they don’t want me anymore?’

’Where else am I going to find a job that’s this easy and pays so well?!’

After quickly booking a plane ticket, Jasper Rockwell called Evan Fairchild.

"President Fairchild, that Sean Coleman fellow... he hasn’t told you he wants to fire me, has he?"

"No."

"Good. Now listen, if Sean Coleman tells you that I shouldn’t be Zane Langdon’s personal assistant anymore, you can’t agree! You have to refuse! I have to go! I insist on being his PA!" Jasper was furious.

’He never would have thought Zane Langdon could be so petty.’

"To be honest, I don’t think your presence there is all that significant," Evan Fairchild’s voice came through the phone.

Jasper Rockwell: ...
