He realized something was wrong with the data. He immediately took out his laptop to investigate. Just as he started tracing some information, he discovered the online voting had returned to normal.

He found it unbelievable. The other party’s methods were extremely sophisticated; finding them would take some real time and effort.

’Once I find this person,’ he thought, ’I’ll hack them so badly they’ll regret the day they were born!’

But before he could even make his move, the data was already back to normal.

’Who could it be? Who else is backing Melody?’

’Could it be Rose Shaw?’

He couldn’t think of anyone else besides Rose Shaw.

Within the country, Rose Shaw’s sources were still better than his. While he had to go to the trouble of investigating, Rose could probably take one look at the operation and know exactly who was behind it.

As long as the data remained normal, Aya Winters was in trouble.

...

After a long day of filming, Melody Monroe returned home.

The moment Ian Monroe heard the car pull up, he rushed out.

"Mommy!"

Melody Monroe quickly reached out to catch the enthusiastic little guy. "Is Daddy not home?"

"He went out this morning and still isn’t back. Mommy, the weather forecast says it’s going to snow in Jansburg soon. Do you still have to film when it snows?"

"Yes, we do. We’re actually waiting for this snowstorm," Melody Monroe said, pulling Ian Monroe inside.

"But won’t it be really cold?"

"It’s fine. We’re shooting on a studio lot, so we don’t have to actually be outside in the wind and snow."

"Oh." Ian Monroe watched TV sometimes, but he didn’t pay attention to the plot. He focused on the scenery, and he thought his mom worked very hard when she was filming.

In the distance, a man in a green custodian’s uniform had been watching Melody Monroe and Ian Monroe. He held a camera in his hand, secretly recording the scene.

...

Yasmine Scott arrived at the meeting spot and saw Lionel Warren.

She immediately walked over to him.

It was a hot pot restaurant, and the place was bustling with people.

Lionel Warren looked up and broke into a happy smile when he saw Yasmine Scott. "Come on, let’s order. I already got the broth started—a half-and-half pot."

But Yasmine Scott wasn’t there for hot pot. She only cared about one thing: the progress of the investigation she had hired Lionel Warren for.

"Did you find anything?"

"Look at you, so impatient. Let’s order our food first."

Yasmine Scott was on pins and needles, but she ordered the food anyway.

"Okay, the food’s ordered. Now hurry up and tell me, did you find anything or not?"

"When have I ever come back empty-handed?" Lionel Warren pulled a bulging envelope from his jacket.

Yasmine Scott snatched it and tore open the envelope. It was full of photos!

’This is exactly what I wanted!’

"I did some more digging. The kid was always with a nanny; Melody only took him in this year. But judging from the house she’s living in now in Jansburg, it looks like she really is being kept by Evan Fairchild. So whose kid is it, really?"

"He’s a bastard." Yasmine Scott continued to flip through the photos, gloating inwardly. ’This is perfect. I’m going to give Melody Monroe a very special gift!’

...

Aya Winters slammed down the phone, her face ashen with rage.

"What’s the status of the online poll?" she asked her assistant.

"Melody Monroe has already surpassed Yasmine Scott’s popularity. If this keeps up, a huge gap will form in just one day. It’ll be even harder for us to get back on top!"

"And Rose Shaw just had to stick her nose in it! So it’s true she left Stellaris. Giving up her position as Executive Director at Stellaris to run off and be Melody Monroe’s little assistant? Has Rose Shaw lost her mind?!"
