Transmigrated as The Best Female Character of the Year
Chapter 589: Arising from Affection, Ending with Propriety (2)
"I don’t think there’s anything Keith Coleman can’t solve." Talia Mercer’s opinion of Keith Coleman had done a complete one-eighty. She had secretly learned quite a bit from him.
"I feel the same way. Talia, if you were to become an agent now, I’m sure you could handle it, right?"
"Me? An agent? Melody, I don’t think I’m ready yet." Talia Mercer had zero confidence.
"With Keith Coleman and Rose to teach you, you’ll be fine for sure. When Tiana Gable gets here, you can start by assisting her."
"Okay!" Talia Mercer immediately nodded.
Melody Monroe couldn’t help but smile at Talia’s expression. ’This girl is just too adorable,’ she thought, ’acting as if she’s facing a formidable enemy.’
...
After Melody Monroe and Zane Langdon rehearsed the scene a few times and had a long discussion with the director, filming for the next several scenes officially began.
Once these scenes were wrapped, production would officially move to the Solara Palace set.
The final act would be filmed entirely at Solara Palace.
The Princess of Solara now possessed the power to restore her kingdom. And even though she had developed feelings for the Emperor of Cygnus, the great undertaking of national restoration could not be delayed.
The Emperor of Cygnus personally escorted her for a great distance on her journey.
When the Princess of Solara began her restoration, he gave her his full support, which laid a stable foundation for the re-established Kingdom of Solara.
In the early days of the restoration, the kingdom was in disarray, waiting to be rebuilt.
Javian was frail and could not overexert himself, so the Princess of Solara participated in governance, taking on most of the court’s political affairs. Only when Javian felt stronger would she let him handle some of the state matters.
During Javian’s reign, she defied all opposition from the court officials to make the Veridian woman he loved his consort. This woman from the enemy nation of Veridia was played by Cynthia Jacobs.
This sister’s love for her younger brother had surpassed her love for the man in her heart.
With powerful enemies abroad and political turmoil at home, the Princess of Solara bore the weight of it all on her own slender shoulders.
The Emperor of Cygnus made as many as seventeen state visits in a single year, a fact recorded in the annals of both kingdoms that became a celebrated tale.
In five years, the Princess of Solara brought stability to her kingdom. Though not yet prosperous, all its people had clothes to wear and food to eat.
That year, she finally made her decision: she would marry into Cygnus. She would entrust all of Solara’s state affairs to Javian.
But a sudden, unforeseen tragedy shattered everything.
On the day of her wedding, just after completing the grand ceremony and preparing to depart the capital, the palace was thrown into utter chaos!
The Emperor was dead! And immediately after, Consort Wallace hanged herself to join him in death!
Still in her vermilion wedding robes, the Princess of Solara galloped back to the palace.
The three-year-old Prince ran into her arms, his cries heart-wrenching.
With tears in her eyes, she cast a glance to the north. That single look was filled with reluctance and apology. In this life, she was fated to fail him.
The Emperor of Cygnus, dressed in his own wedding attire, received not his bride, but this terrible news. The shock and grief were so great that he coughed up a mouthful of blood right there in the main hall.
Ignoring the protests of his entire court, he rode day and night, rushing to Solara.
But the Princess of Solara kept the palace gates firmly shut and refused to see him.
The Emperor of Cygnus vowed that he would wait five years for her. He would wait even another ten, if he must!
But the Princess of Solara could not let him pay that price.
She had already cost the Emperor of Cygnus five years of his life. If she were to delay him for another five, or even ten, it would be an unforgivable sin. She would never be able to forgive herself.
After the Emperor of Cygnus returned to Argent, news began to spread.
The Emperor of Cygnus began holding selections to fill his imperial harem.
Ten years later, Solara and Veridia were at war again. This time, all the territory that had been ceded to Veridia was reclaimed. Strong forces were stationed at the border, but facing a Veridia whose power was clearly waning, Solara did not press the attack.
Another decade passed. Solara was now the most prosperous of nations, with a powerful army and a populace living in peace and contentment.
And so it went, decade after decade...
