Chapter 640: Chapter 639: Sparring with Nathan and the others 3

"I think it’s feasible but we should probably train under you and the others first before facing mutant animals. If not, we won’t even last long before we have to use our abilities to escape danger. Of course that is, if we hadn’t been injured by the mutant animals and could still fight," Nathan said.

"Yeah, especially me. I think I’ll have to train more under you guys or else I’ll just be seriously injured by those mutant animals if I couldn’t even evade some of their simpler attacks properly.

Most of those mutant animals move very fast so if I only rely on my physical strength to fight them, I won’t even be able to do much to even attack them properly as just evading their attacks will probably be hard," Camille said.

"Then you should train more with other people and not with Zam. Zam has been very lenient when it comes to training you. Of course, you can also ask him not to hold back too much but I’m not sure Zam would follow it," Nathan said.

"Yeah, I saw you guys training before and even though Zam’s training is indeed effective and can continue strengthening you, it wouldn’t help you when you wanted to grow stronger quickly while facing more danger and even stronger opponents," Luciel added.

Luciel had seen Zam and Camille training together before, Zam could still hit Camille but it’s obvious that he was holding back a lot and most of the time he would just keep instructing Camille on how to fight and rarely engage in sparring.

When they’re sparring it can be seen that Zam was also mostly instructing and correcting Camille’s mistakes when in combat and really rarely hit him at all or would stop when he was about to hit Camille.

Well, it also couldn’t be blamed on Zam as the difference in their strength is really big and Camille was indeed his boyfriend so he couldn’t be too rough.

However, now that Camille has to improve and get stronger faster then such an approach wouldn’t be enough at all.

"I’ll talk to him about it, if he couldn’t then I’ll just train under others. But he’ll probably agree since he’ll know that it would be more difficult to survive if I’m too weak," Camille readily said.

"I also think that I need to train a bit more since I couldn’t even evade properly even though I’m already using my wind ability to boost my speed. But I’ll probably try fighting with mutant animals before the two of you," Nate said.

"Yeah, me too. Once I could properly evade a few hits from the boss, I will try fighting with mutant animals. When we meet up with the boss and the others, I’ll probably have a chance to try it," Jacob said.

"Ok, then the two of you can try it first, while Camille and I would watch at the side to learn some tips from you guys. With Treyton and the others watching you guys there won’t be any problems," Nathan said.

"Oh, that won’t do, the purpose of trying to fight mutant animals with just your strength is to train to become stronger faster through battle and of course with a sense of crisis.

So, having Treyton and the others watch out for you guys isn’t good. If you guys indeed plan to train while fighting mutant animals then you’ll have to do it on your own without Treyton and the others watching over you.

Of course, if you guys are really in danger then just use your abilities or other weapons that you have.

If you don’t have the guts to face such dangers on your own then better not train using such a method.

If Treyton and the others had to watch over you guys so you guys don’t die then it would just defeat the purpose of your training.

You guys already decided to train a bit more under me and the others so that would be enough.

When you feel that you’re really ready to face mutant animals then face them, if you’re still hesitant and don’t have the courage to fight on your own against mutant animals then better not do it because you guys might really die," Luciel said directly.

If Treyton and the others have to stay and watch over the others just for their training against mutant animals then their training would defeat the purpose of using mutant animals for training at all.

He suggested training with mutant animals so that their sense of crisis would become stronger and their response to danger would also be honed better, but if they knew that they wouldn’t die in the end because Treyton and the others are watching, then it wouldn’t be much different from their training with them.

So, the four of them should only try it if they really have the guts and are prepared to risk their lives to get stronger.

In fact, Luciel could tell that even though the members in Treyton’s team were all considered to be the strongest in the north base and the superpowers and strength of the members were indeed great, Luciel could tell that most of them were still lacking something.

The resources of their team were good and Treyton, Zam, Wes, and the others at the very top were all strong, and most of the time they were the ones who faced most of the dangers for the team so those who have lesser strength in their team wouldn’t be in danger.

But because of it, those below, even though they’re considered very strong already compared to other people, actually lacked some of the drive to face a severe crisis on their own.

Those below always felt that they won’t be in danger as long as the others are present to watch over them, so they actually haven’t honed their mindset that they’ll have to do whatever it takes for them to survive and accept that if they didn’t do their best then it would be the end of their lives.
