Chapter 642: Chapter 641: It’s extreme summer again
"Yes, I wish he was here, even with the fan on the roof it’s no use at all because the wind isn’t even cool. I hope when it’s my time to go up the temperature would be lower even for just a bit," Camille said while looking outside.
"Don’t bother wishing, it’s already obvious that it would continue getting hotter," Luciel calmly said, dashing Camille’s wish.
"Boss, you don’t need to mention it at all, at least leave me a bit of hope," Camille said.
Luciel just rolled his eyes and didn’t bother with Camille any longer, who was obviously still wishing for the temperature to drop since he still had to go out.
In the afternoon the temperature was already very high, so they didn’t bother killing zombies on top of their RVs and just stayed inside.
Nathan or Nate would only clean up zombies a few times when there are really already a lot of zombies following their cars.
In the evening after they stopped, they had their brief training again, then ate their dinner prepared by the older kids.
Luciel didn’t have a lot of cooked food in his space as all the food that Richard and Nina prepared were all in Theo’s space.
He didn’t bring out the few things that were still in his space and just brought out the ingredients that they could use for cooking.
Fortunately, the older kids already knew how to cook, so even though the adults were busy training, they could still prepare their food.
The older kids, especially Violet and Austin, have learned a lot from Nina and Richard, and it’s obvious that their cooking skills have improved as the food that they prepared was more delicious than what he had tasted a few months ago.
The other older kids had also been helping around the kitchen, but it seems that Violet and Austin had more talent when it comes to cooking compared to the others.
After having a delicious meal, they started talking about their following schedules.
Since the weather had become so hot again, they decided that they should travel earlier so that they could rest when it’s early in the afternoon when the temperature was at its peak, and then they’ll also have to stop traveling and couldn’t stop early in the evening so that they could still cover more distance while it isn’t completely dark yet.
"Ok, you guys can get up even earlier, just don’t bother me cause I certainly won’t get up that early," Luciel said.
He wasn’t even the one driving anyway, so he doesn’t need to get up that early as they could still continue traveling even with him still sleeping.
"Don’t worry, as long as we have enough food and fuel, we certainly won’t disturb you, so you can still sleep longer. No one would even dare wake you up since we aren’t as strong as Treyton who could just receive your lethal strikes when they have to wake you up," Nathan said.
"Yes, only the boss would dare wake you up. We already couldn’t avoid your strikes when you’re holding back, so we certainly couldn’t receive your strikes when being disturbed from your sleep," Camille said, and all the others nodded, even the kids.
Luciel just glanced at them and didn’t bother saying anything. He actually thinks that his temper has already mellowed down a lot.
If it was before, he would certainly already be in a bad mood if a lot of noise was around him in the morning, even if it was just caused by the members and the zombies around.
But now he could tolerate them and could still sleep without caring about such disturbances.
Treyton doesn’t even mind waking him up now, since he wouldn’t be in a bad mood once woken up.
As for the habit of striking when being awakened, especially when touched, it would still kick in, but his strikes hadn’t been as lethal as before.
Of course, he would certainly still be irritable if his sleep was disturbed by annoying things.
He’d always been easily awakened by sounds and other things, but he just continued ignoring them so he could still continue sleeping, so he could even tolerate a lot of things as long as he doesn’t feel much danger around him, so he could say that he had really mellowed down a lot already.
But it seems that for the members of Treyton’s team, he still hasn’t changed and still has the same temper as before.
Of course, if they’re the ones who woke him up just for the sake of getting up early without any emergencies, etc., then they would really suffer a bit even if his strikes aren’t that deadly anymore.
So, the next day, Luciel could already tell that all the others were already awake around 5 am and were already having their breakfast.
He could tell that all the others were already awake, but he didn’t bother waking up and just continued closing his eyes as he didn’t want to get up yet.
He only woke up around 7 am, which was the time he was getting up since he was with Nathan and the kids.
They continued traveling and they didn’t encounter much, but when they were about to rest, they couldn’t find a better place to rest when they planned to rest because the temperature was already very high.
Yesterday, the others already agreed that they could find a building or any shelter which they could use for the time being because it’s still hot in the RV, and it’s better to find one with a wider space.
Unfortunately, late in the afternoon, Nathan and the others couldn’t find a decent place to stay at, as most of the buildings that they saw needed a lot of cleaning up before they could even use it.
Since the temperature had really turned very hot, Luciel told them to just look for an empty space for them to park their RVs.
