Chapter 59: Chapter 59: Age Gap

Azura shuffled down the hallway like a zombie who had just discovered the true horror of the undead existence—not the flesh-eating part, but the paperwork.

Her mind was a disaster zone of catastrophic calculations.

Four men.

Four BIG men.

Every day.

She did the math in her head, and the results were grim.

That’s... that’s twenty-eight times a week. That’s one hundred and twenty times a month. That’s... I’m going to need a frequent visitor card at the OB-GYN. Punch it ten times, get the eleventh exam FREE.

Azura imagined herself waddling through the pack hospital, legs spread at a forty-five-degree angle, being pushed around in a wheelchair by a sympathetic nurse who would whisper to other patients, "Poor thing. Her mates are very enthusiastic."

She’d be bleeding constantly. She’d need a wheelchair just to get to the kitchen. She’d walk like a cowboy who’d been riding a horse for forty years straight. Her hips would file a formal complaint. Her back would go on strike. Her entire reproductive system would unionize and walk out.

She shuddered so violently that her soul almost snapped back into her body.

I’m going to be gaping. Permanently gaping. Like a fish. A fish that’s been traumatized.

Meanwhile, the triplets walking ahead of her were having their own silent conversation.

They kept glancing back at her, their wolf instincts on high alert.

Caesar’s eye twitched as he saw her staring blankly at a suit of armor, her lips moving silently as if she were having a conversation with it.

"She’s doing that thing again."

"What thing?" Caelian whispered.

"The thing where she looks like she’s... either bargaining with the armor or going to try to ride it."

"If she does, I’m recording it."

Caelus didn’t say anything, but his sharp eyes tracked her every movement. The chaotic woman was walking with the energy of a zombie who’d just discovered the meaning of life and found it severely disappointing. She was unpredictable. Dangerous in a way that had nothing to do with claws or fangs.

They were all silently terrified that at any moment, she might suddenly grab the hallway curtains, scale them like a deranged monkey, and start swinging from the chandelier while making Tarzan noises.

Or drop into a cartwheel. Or start crawling on all fours.

Honestly? They wouldn’t even be surprised anymore.

It was a very real possibility.

Azura, blissfully unaware that she was being monitored like a zoo animal, continued her mental spiral.

Handstands. Somersaults. What if they want to do it in the air? Like some kind of acrobatic porno? Am I going to have to learn aerial silks just to satisfy four werewolf libidos?

She was imagining herself doing a handstand while—no, stop, STOP, that’s physically impossible, even for a werewolf—and then she imagined them doing some kind of acrobatic formation, like a cheerleading squad but with significantly more grunting and significantly less spirit fingers.

Azura was so deep in her erotic fever dream that she didn’t notice they had stopped walking.

She almost crashed into Caelian’s back.

Caelus knocked twice. Firm. Authoritative.

"Uncle. It’s us. We brought her here to talk."

Silence.

Then the door swung open, revealing Wilson—Kyler’s ever-loyal, ever-suffering Beta, a man who had seen things. Horrible things. Like the time nine-year-old Kyler told the toddler triplets to climb to the third floor and jump onto a mattress below, claiming it would "build character."

Wilson had almost had a heart attack that day. He’d held all three crying toddlers in his arms while Kyler stood there with a clipboard, taking notes on their landing form.

He looked at the group now, his eyes landing on Azura.

"Come in, Alphas and Miss Cra..." He paused, the word Crazy almost slipping out. "...Azura."

He mentally patted himself on the back.

Good save, Wilson. You almost called your future Luna a lunatic. That would’ve been awkward.

Azura blinked, snapping out of her haze.

She processed the situation slowly, like a computer from 2005 trying to run modern software.

Right. Kidnapped. Mansion. Four hot werewolves think I’m their soulmate. Uncle guy. Conversation.

She nodded slightly—a single, jerky motion—and shuffled inside after the triplets, her mind still half-stuck on the horrifying vision of herself being passed around like a joint at a college party.

I’m going to need a bionic pelvis, I hope the pack has good health insurance.

Azura stepped through the doorway with the grace of a woman who had just accepted her fate as a human pretzel, only to freeze mid-step like a deer caught in the headlights of an oncoming existential crisis.

She had braced herself for Kyler. The cold, intimidating uncle-man who looked at her like she was a particularly annoying stain on his expensive carpet. She had braced for interrogation. For threats. For being thrown into another coffin, honestly.

What she had not braced for was a woman—a vision of absolute perfection—standing right in front of him, close enough that their shadows merged.

A tall woman.

A GORGEOUS woman.

A tall, gorgeous, statuesque woman with legs that went on for days, hair that cascaded like a waterfall of silk, and an aura that screamed "I could ruin your life and you’d thank me for it."

Azura’s jaw unhinged. Her soul left her body for the second time that day.

Is this—IS THIS THE LOVE RIVAL?! The scheming side character who bullies the female lead, frames her for crimes she didn’t commit, and creates angsty drama that tests the male leads’ loyalty?!

Wait.

The female lead role is MINE now.

Which meant—

THIS COOL BEAUTIFUL BOSS LADY IS GOING TO BULLY ME?!

Azura’s eyes sparkled.

Oh my god. Oh my GOD. A hot older woman is going to command me like a maid, make my life miserable, and probably slap me across the face at a fancy ball. This is EVERYTHING. I hope she becomes a concubine so I don’t have to get railed four times a day—she can handle the night shift!

Big sister is SO pretty. I love her already. This is the female power I needed in my life. Yass queen, step on me.

Azura’s eyes sparkled like a child who’d just been told they were going to Disneyland. She loved beautiful people. She especially loved the cool, domineering older sister type. The kind of woman who could command an army with a single raised eyebrow and make everyone swoon—including other women.

That’s woman power, right there! That’s female empowerment! That’s...

The tall woman turned around.

Her dark eyes locked onto Azura.

She looked surprised for a brief second—then her gaze settled into something unreadable. Calculating. Observing. Like she was studying a particularly interesting bug.

Azura immediately slapped both hands over her flaming cheeks, swaying on the spot like a lovestruck maiden.

"Kyaa~! Yùjiě, stop looking at me like that!! I’m so embarrassed being stared at by someone as cool and beautiful as you~!"

She actually swayed on her feet, batting her eyelashes.

The room went silent..

Absolute, deafening silence.

The triplets stared.

Kyler slowly looked up from his paperwork, his expression unreadable.

Wilson, standing in the corner, mentally added "future Luna definitely has brain damage" to his daily report.

The tall woman—who had turned around at Azura’s entrance—stared at her with an unreadable expression. Her eyebrow twitched.

"..."

"....???"

Caesar blinked, his brain struggling to process the scene in front of him. He looked at Azura, then at the woman, then back at Azura.

"What... does ’Yùjiě’ mean?"

Azura immediately snapped out of her flustered stupor and whirled around to face him, pointing excitedly like she’d just been asked to explain the meaning of life.

"It’s slang for the ’cool older sister’ type! You know—the beautiful, powerful woman who looks like she commands a thousand thugs with a single snap! The kind of woman who can charm anyone, especially other women! She’s got that aura, that presence, that—oohhh I never thought I’d meet someone like her here!!"

Caesar’s eyes widened slightly. He nodded, genuinely impressed by this new knowledge.

Interesting. A new term. I’ll remember that.

The tall woman listened to the entire exchange with a slight twitch at the corner of her mouth. She glanced at the triplets, then at Kyler, who was still buried in his paperwork like he was being paid by the word.

"So this is the kind of woman the Moon Goddess gave you as a fated mate?" Her voice was smooth, laced with amusement. "To think she’d give all four of you the same woman... and she’s eccentric, too."

The four men said nothing.

But they were all thinking the same thing.

Eccentric is giving her too much credit. She has brain damage. She’s unhinged. She’s one bad day away from trying to ride a chandelier.

She turned back to Azura, a smirk playing on her lips. She took a step forward—

Only for Caelus to move faster than sound, placing himself directly in front of Azura like a human shield.

His voice was low. Protective. Warning.

"Aunt River. Don’t."

Azura’s brain short-circuited.

Aunt?

AUNT?!

She looked at River. Then at Caelus. Then at Kyler, who was still ignoring the chaos like a man who had long ago accepted his fate.

Then back at River.

THIS BEAUTIFUL COOL OLDER SISTER IS THE TRIPLETS’ AUNT?! WHICH MEANS SHE’S KYLER’S SISTER?!

Azura’s mind went into overdrive.

What the hell is wrong with this family’s age gap?! Did Kyler’s parents decide to have kids decades apart like some kind of biological experiment?! Was the triplets’ dad already becoming Alpha when his mom popped out two bonus siblings for their adult son?! Was there a second honeymoon that got way out of hand?
