VIVIAN

Vivian was still fast asleep when Arin quietly entered the room.

She glanced at the clock. Her eyes widened.

"Miss Vivian!"

Vivian didn’t reply. Arin called her again. "Princess."

Vivian groaned beneath the blanket.

"What?"

"You have one hour before class!"

Vivian’s eyes snapped open. She immediately sat up.

"Class?"

Then she remembered. Her admission had been cancelled. Her face fell. "My admission was cancelled..."

Arin hesitated before handing her a communicator. "Maybe you should look at this first."

Vivian frowned and took it.

The moment she opened the school forum, her eyes nearly popped out.

BREAKING NEWS LUCIEN DONATES A LIBRARY BUILDING TO HAXIA MILITARY ACADEMY IN HONOR OF HIS FIANCÉE, VIVIAN LILIAN.

Vivian stared once. The second time she widened her eyes to understand the words better.

Then...she screamed."WHAT?!"

She jumped out of bed. "How?! Why?!"

Arin blinked. "Your fiancé seems to like you very much."

"Like me?"

Vivian pointed at the screen. "He was insulting me yesterday!"

She quickly opened her private messages.

A message from Lucien appeared.

Lucien: They agreed to reinstate you if I donated a building.

So I did.

It cost me 30 billion spirit stones.

How are you going to thank me?

Vivian’s smile froze. "Thirty..."

Her eyes widened. "BILLION?!"

She slowly closed her eyes. Then she whispered, "I’ll pay him back with my life."

Arin gasped. "Princess..."

Vivian suddenly laughed. "Wait."

She opened her eyes.

"I never asked him to do it."

She grinned. "So I’m not paying him back!"

Arin stared at her. "...That is not how debt works."

Vivian ignored her. Another notification suddenly appeared.

Aston Fenrir

Vivian’s smile disappeared. What does he want? I thought the book said he rarely talked to Vivian.

She opened the message.

Aston Fenrir: I’ve spent a lot of resources on you. When are you going to come see me?

I’ve decided to donate a building to Saint and Saintess Academy under your name.

Elena, you will love it, right?

Vivian slowly lowered the communicator. Her eyelid twitched. "Think, Vivian..."

She rubbed her forehead. "Think."

She immediately typed a reply.

Vivian: Baby, I miss you so much. But I’m extremely busy with school. We have exams. I’ll come find you when I’m free. Kisses and love.

She almost threw up at her own cheesy message. But she had to keep Aston in check. He was her creditor, after all. She thought. "These Besetmen are stupid though. Kept spending money on a woman he never met. Nerion is the only beast begger she knows. Then she said, "Where is Nerion? He never reached out since that day. Is he really sick."

Aston’s reply came almost instantly.

Aston Fenrir: If we break up, will you return everything I’ve spent on you?

Vivian stared at the message.

She typed:....

Vivian: ...

Then deleted it. She typed again.

Vivian: ...

Deleted. Finally, she locked the communicator.

"No."

Arin tilted her head. "No, what?"

"I refuse to answer that question."

She threw the communicator onto the bed.

" Get my breakfast ready.."

*Thirty minutes later...

Vivian sat at the dining table.

She was eating and eating and eating. She ate like her stomach was as big as a whale.

Arin stared in disbelief as another plate disappeared. She wondered if Vivian was possessed by a hungry Transmigrator this time.

"Miss Vivian..."

"Hmm?"

"You’ve eaten eight plates."

Vivian reached for another piece of meat."My stomach is empty."

Robot 99 rolled into the kitchen.

It stared at the mountain of empty plates.

"Miss Vivian."

She looked at him.

"Yes?"

"Are you secretly pregnant with four wolf babies?"

Vivian nearly choked.

"What?!"

"You are consuming enough food to sustain four large mammals."

"Shut up!"

Robot 99’s mechanical eyes flashed.

"Observation: your appetite has increased by approximately....."

"SHUT UP! Or I will throw you out of the.Window."

Arin covered her mouth, trying not to laugh. She pulled Robot 99 away, she was scared she would destroy him this time.

Vivian continued eating.

She had no idea that deep inside her consciousness...

Beeny was lying comfortably beside the golden lotus.

Her tiny stomach was already round.

She rubbed it happily. "More...food Big sister."

Meanwhile, Vivian grabbed another plate.

"I don’t know what’s wrong with me."

After breakfast, Arin suddenly received a notification.

She froze.

"Miss Vivian."

"What?"

Arin looked at the message again.

Her eyes widened.

"I’m..."

She looked at Vivian.

"I’ve been admitted into Haxia Military Academy."

Vivian stopped chewing.

"What?"

Arin smiled brightly.

"And apparently..."

She pointed at the message.

"I’ve been assigned as your guide."

Vivian’s eyes slowly widened. Then she grinned."Well..."

She stood up.

"Looks like we’re going back to school together."

At School

Arin entered the classroom building for Guides. She waved Vivian goodbye. She was really happy to attend school. Vivian knew from the book that Arin wanted to attend school but the book Vivian never let her.

The moment Vivian stepped onto the training ground, she spotted two familiar figures.

Herbert and Serial were doing push-ups with the other recruits.

"Forty-eight!"

"Forty-nine!"

"Fifty!"

The moment Serial heard Vivian’s voice, he immediately stopped.

He jumped to his feet and rushed toward her.

"Vivian!"

She blinked as he stopped in front of her, looking her over to make sure she was really okay. Sweat glistened on his skin, and his damp curly hair clung to his forehead.

Vivian suddenly remembered something.

Her first kiss had happened in Haxia. And it had been with him. Her cheeks immediately burned.

But it wasn’t really a kiss, she quickly told herself. It was just a little peck on the lips.

She looked away, hoping he wouldn’t notice her flushed face.

"Are you okay? I heard your admission was cancelled."

His expression softened with relief. "But then I heard you were reinstated."

Vivian smiled.

For some reason, warmth spread through her chest. At least someone had actually worried about her. "I’m fine, Big Bear."

Serial’s ears immediately turned red. He scratched the back of his head. "I’m glad you’re okay."

Vivian’s smile widened.

"I thought you died."

Her smile froze. Herbert stood behind them, wiping sweat from his forehead.

"I honestly thought that mutated plant finished you off."

He shrugged. "This is exactly why I’m against females joining the military. Two days of training and she has already disappeared from school."

Vivian slowly turned toward him. Her eyes twitched.

Herbert smirked. "What? I’m just stating the obvious."

She ignored him completely and turned back to Serial. "I’m really fine."

Serial nodded. "I can see that."

Vivian smiled again. For once, she felt strangely happy. Someone had actually been worried about her.

Then a soldier approached them.

He stopped in front of Vivian and saluted.

"Miss Vivian Lilian."

Vivian raised an eyebrow.

"Yes?"

The soldier hesitated. "You shouldn’t be here."

Her smile disappeared. "What do you mean? I have been reinstated. Didn’t you get the news?"

He lowered his hand. "Umm..Commander Vincent Hale has rejected your admission into his unit. So you have to choose a different department."

Silence. Vivian stared at him. Her heart sank.

Rejected?

After everything she had gone through to get back into the academy...

She had just been kicked out of Vincent’s team.

Again!! Serial’s expression immediately hardened. Herbert stopped smiling.

Vivian slowly clenched her fists. What the hell was Vincent Hale planning?

"I will go to his office."
