Chapter 30: THE ONE WHO WASN’T SUPPOSED TO BE HERE

VIVIAN / NERION

"Why not be kind and save him?" Beeny asked, her tone harsh.

Vivian sighs. "So what are you implying? That I am evil?"

Beeny says. "You won’t lose a hair if you save him."

"Why not go save him yourself. Please.... I am a zero class female. And I love my life right now. You want me to jump into that place and scream. I am here to save you!!!! Because I am a saintess?" She rolled her eyes. "Those huge looking men will snap my head apart in seconds...I am not going!!!?"

Orc beasts are very strong and huge. They have strength and can be ranked. But they can’t transform. Their bodies are half human and half animal beast. They can communicate like normal beast men. And they live in any abandoned planet like the Ignora planet.

Vivian remained hidden in the tall grass, watching the three Orc Beasts surrounding Nerion.

Her fingers tightened around the grass. Her conscience was eating her up but not enough to play with her life.

But In the original story, Elena should have appeared by now.

She should have saved Nerion to gain his loyalty.

Why is Elena so slow?

One of the Orcs grabbed Nerion by his silver-blue hair and dragged his head upward.

Nerion’s eyes were barely open.

Blood ran down the side of his face.

Vivian’s expression darkened. "Where the hell is that Stupid Elena?"

Beeny peeked out from her consciousness.

"Pretty Sister..."

"What?"

"I can help you save him. The lotus can do the rest. Don’t forget it’s powerful. There’s a poisonous plant behind the Orcs."

Vivian glanced toward it.

A strange plant grew between two enormous trees. Its dark leaves were covered with tiny purple veins.

"Poisonous?"

"Very."

Beeny smiled. "If you make it release its spores, their strength will drop greatly. And lastly those Orc beast their cores are very...very.... expen....sive..... "

Vivian’s eyes lit up. "Now you’re talking."

She quietly picked up a small stone.

Then..WHOOSH!

She threw it. The stone struck the plant.

The plant suddenly opened.

A cloud of pale green spores burst into the air.

The Orcs turned.

"What...?"

They inhaled the poison. One staggered and fell flat. Another dropped to one knee.

Their movements became sluggish.

Vivian smiled. "Got you!."

She stepped out of the grass.

One Orc immediately noticed her. His eyes lit up.

"A female!!!!"

He charged towards her. Vivian didn’t move.

At the last second, she ducked. The Orc stumbled past her.

She kicked his knee.He dropped. Vivian grabbed his arm and slammed him against the ground.

But before she could finish him, another Orc grabbed her from behind.

"Beauty...female..I want you...you smell...so.....good...I want to kiss you." He used his tongue to lick her ears."

His enormous arm locked around her shoulders.

Vivian struggled. "Dirty Pig...Let go!"

He was half pig face and legs like human. The Orc snarled. "Another weak human..."

Vivian’s eyes narrowed. Her hand slowly moved toward her shoulder.

The golden Lotus emerged from Vivian’s palm.its beautiful petals unfolded.

Then...SNAP! A terrifying mouth opened from its center. Rows of sharp teeth appeared.

The Orc’s expression changed. "Monster....Female...kill...."

The Lotus lunged forward, grabbing the face of the orc and plugged his head off like a plant.

It swallowed his head in one bite.

Blue blood splattered across Vivian’s sleeve. The Orc’s body collapsed. The Lotus dropped its Core.

Vivian stared with love in her eyes. "You are.....a terrifyingly handsome Lotus."

Beeny giggled happily. "Pretty Sister’s Lotus is hungry. It wants more."

The remaining Orc stared at them. He was terrifed, he thought. "She must be a psycho!! Run!" He turned and ran for his life

Vivian sighed.

"You saw my secret and you think you can run away? Have you seen such a good thing before?"

The Lotus stretched. Its vines shot across the ground.

They wrapped around the fleeing Orc’s waist.

He screamed.

"LET ME GO!...You BEAST!! Monster!!"

Vivian raised an eyebrow. "Sorry. I CANT."

The Lotus dragged him backward.

The Orc slammed into the ground.

He knelt down begging. "Please give me one chance. I won’t tell anyone."

The Lotus opened its mouth again. Vivian gave it signal. Eat!!

The third Orc disappeared into the Lotus mouth in a minute. She ate all the Orcs left and dropped their cores. Slowly she moved back into her hand.

Vivian stood there.

She slowly looked at Nerion. He was staring at her.

His eyes were still half closed, but there was no mistaking it. He had seen everything.

Vivian froze. "...You saw nothing."

Nerion coughed weakly.

"You..."

"Nothing."

"You killed them."

Vivian pointed toward the dead Orcs.

"They were already weak."

"You saved me."

"No."

His eyes narrowed.

"I saw you."

"You were unconscious."

"I wasn’t."

"A monster killed them." She said with a sweet smile.

Vivian stared at him. This was going badly.

She walked toward him and crouched. "Can you stand?"

Nerion tried. His body immediately collapsed.

Vivian caught him.

"Okay. Definitely not."

She looked at his injuries.

His scales were cracked in several places, and blood covered his clothes.

Vivian sighed. "You’re going to die if I leave you here."

Nerion looked at her.

"Then don’t."

Vivian blinked.

"...You’re demanding?"

"You’re the one who saved me." Then he lost consciousness. Beeny came out of her consciousness.

Vivian stared at Nerion blankly and asked Benny. "What about we kill him? He knows me personally. What if he tells someone what he saw."

"Um...Umm..but he is beautiful. Do you really have the heart to kill such a pretty beast?"

"Shut up. You are a kid!!"

Beeny lips pouted. "....um..but you don’t have to worry. He inhaled the poisonous smoke from the flower. He will lose his memory of you today."

Vivian smacked her head. "You should have told me earlier. You made me have such an evil thought to kill my precious pearls producer."

Vivian was done treating Nerion. She used her lotus power to heal his wound as directed by Beeny.

Vivian said. "No!! I can’t fully treat him. What if he suspect a thing.."

Later Nerion eventually fell fast asleep from exhaution.

Vivian sat beside him, exhausted.

She glanced at the battlefield.

Several Beast Cores and other battle gains were scattered around.

Her eyes immediately brightened. "Oh. I forgot my baby cores "

She stood up and collected everything valuable. She saw a golden storage ring and Beeny taught her how to connect it to her energy. Its previous owner energy was erased. It was a new thing to her she found it Fascinating. She saw a lot of spirit stone but Beeny said it was just a Million high grade spirit stone.

She sighs. "Broke beasts."

She stuffed them into her backpack. And the ones for her in the storage ring.

She was about to leave when something caught her eye.

A beautiful scale necklace rested around Nerion’s neck.

The scales shimmered faintly beneath the moonlight.

Vivian leaned closer.

"Pretty."

She carefully removed it.

Nerion didn’t wake.

Vivian smiled.

" its Mine now."

She put it into her ring..and kept the ring in her backpack. Then she lay down beside him.

She hadn’t realized how exhausted she was.

Within minutes...She fell asleep.

The next morning, Nerion opened his eyes.

His body still hurt, but the pain was manageable.

He turned his head. Vivian was lying beside him.

Her arms were folded beneath her head.

She was sleeping peacefully.

Nerion stared at her.

She saved me. He remembered everything.

The poison, The Orcs, The terrifying golden Lotus. And the strange girl who had appeared from nowhere.

His bloodline was too poweful for a mere flower to erase his memory. He slowly sat up.

Vivian immediately opened her eyes.

Their gazes met. She blinked.

"You’re awake."

"You saved me."

Vivian yawned. "No."

Nerion frowned. "I saw..."

Nerion decided to act like he doesn’t remember. Maybe she doesn’t want him to know she saved him. She is scared he will tell her secret around. But he felt Vivian was different. The Vivian he knew was selfish and proud. She wouldn’t save anybody but hide for her own safety.

"Where are the Orcs?" He asked acting confused.

"A mutated beast killed them."

He stared at her. "A mutated beast?"

She nodded. "Very dangerous one."

"Where is it? Why didnt it kill you too?"

"It ran away. When I came. Everyone was dead. Only you left.."

"The bodies? Where is it?"

"Um...maybe the beast ate them..you know they can eat anything."

Nerion narrowed his eyes. "How did you kno...." He witheld, he knew she won’t tell him the truth. "I guess am lucky.. because you came.." He hugged Vivian tightly and said.. "This is what happens when a man goes out to find food to feed his girlfriend. You complained you had no money. I had to come here alone to hunt for beast Core to sell. I have to do my best... to afford to buy a dress for you."

Vivian sighs inwardly. "He thinks am foolish. I almost forget in the Main book. He was betrayed by his personal guard and abandoned here. He had to stay in here for a week. ELENA was mearnt to save him and bring him out. He is so sly to lie to my face!! I am not a love brain like the other Vivian!!"

Then he looked down. His hand immediately touched his neck.

His expression changed. He released her. "Where’s my necklace?"

Vivian froze. "What necklace?"

"My blue scale necklace."

"I don’t know."

"You took it? "

Vivian crossed her arms. "Why would I steal a necklace? Do I look like a thief? Am your girlfriend."

"Where is my storage ring too? And the Beast cores?"

She hugged her backpack. "I don’t know. Those in here are mine.."

"Can I search your bag. Maybe its in there...."
