VIVIAN

He said. "I didn’t ask for you."

Vivian stared at the man lying on the couch.

Why is he so rude?

She was admiring his beautiful dark green hair. But his character was a no. He seems very proud and rude.

Instead of getting mad Vivian simply smiled. Afterall he is a high ranking soldier.

Vincent stepped forward and bowed respectfully.

"Thank you very much for saving the transport ship, Sentinel Vega. Even in your current state, you still protected everyone. We are extremely grateful."

The man on the couch didn’t move.

"Um."

That was all he said.

Vivian’s eyebrow twitched.

Ohh! He is Vega? But what an interesting way to say you’re welcome. He doesn’t have a good character. His hair seems longer and darker green than before. Did he just dye it? No!! He can’t just dye his hair right now. Or is he sick?

Vincent straightened.

"I have also brought one of my young soldiers to cater to your needs. Anything you require, she will do for you."

Vivian’s smile immediately disappeared.

She glared at Vincent.

"What do you mean?"

Vincent ignored her.

Vivian pointed at herself. "What do you mean? I never said..."

Vincent suddenly grabbed her arm and pulled her toward the corner.

Vivian stumbled after him. "What are you doing?"

He lowered his voice. "I brought you here to cater to his needs."

Vivian stared at him. She remembers in her own world Boss..sent their employees to entertain high ranking Stakeholders.

Her eyes widened. "Are you selling me off..?.for sex?"

Vincent’s mouth fell open. "What?"

"You heard me!"

"I am your instructor!"

"And you’re selling your soldier!"

"I’m not selling you!"

"Then why are you giving me to a stranger?"

Vincent looked genuinely confused.

Vivian turned around. "I’m leaving. I am doing no such thing."

She took one step.

Vincent immediately grabbed the back of her uniform and pulled her back.

"Come back here."

"Let me go!"

"Attention!"

Vivian froze. Her body instinctively snapped straight.

Her hands went against her sides.

Her legs came together.

She stared forward with a stiff expression.

Vincent stood in front of her. "You are a Miscellaneous Soldier."

Vivian’s eye twitched.

"This is part of your duty."

He pointed toward the couch.

"You are under my command. I am your team commander and your instructor. My orders are final."

Vivian clenched her fists. "Why should I do that?"

Her voice rose. "There are more than three hundred students on this ship! Why me? I’m a Zero-Class female!"

Vincent’s expression became serious. "This is the Haxia Military Federation."

He pointed toward the military insignia on his uniform. "Not a female-selling market. And selling females for sex is illegal, it can send me to jail and seize my uniform..I can’t ruin my job for a mere Zero class female."

Vivian went silent.

"Do you understand?"

Vincent continued. "You are a soldier. Male or female, you are treated equally here. This isn’t a Saint and Saintess school where females are placed on a pedestal."

He folded his arms. "You chose to become a soldier. No one forced you."

Vivian gritted her teeth.

"Once you obtain a higher rank, you will have more authority to make choices."

He stepped closer. "But right now, I am your superior. I am your commander. My words are final."

He pointed toward the kitchen area. "Now walk over there and prepare dinner for him."

Vivian stared at him.

Her shoulders dropped.

She released a long sigh.

"But..."

Vincent raised an eyebrow.

"I can’t cook."

Silence. Vincent’s mouth slowly opened.

He stared at her as though she’d just confessed to something unbelievable. "How did you survive alone, then?"

"I have a robot."

"I heard you live alone. You don’t live with the Astronovas."

"No."

"So who cooks for you?"

"My robot."

Vincent rubbed his forehead.

"There is no cooking robot here. You know how expensive they are. We can’t have them in transport ship."

He sighed. "We only have an assistant Robot."

Vivian looked toward the small kitchen.

She looked back at Vincent. "I can make tea."

"Tea?"

"Yes."

She nodded seriously. "The robot can make bread while I make the tea."

Vincent stared at her.

Then he shook his head. "You will definitely need many beast husbands to survive in Haxia."

Vivian frowned. "Why?"

"At this rate, you’ll die of hunger."

Vivian’s lips twitched.

Before leaving, Vincent leaned toward her.

His voice dropped into a whisper.

"And Sentinel Vega has no female master."

Vivian blinked.

Vincent smiled faintly. "He’s single."

Then he turned around and walked away.

Vivian stared after him. "...What was that supposed to mean?"

She shook her head. "Old fool!!."

She turned toward the couch. Vega was still lying there.

He hadn’t moved or talked to them. He seemed to be a mute by choice type.

Vivian looked down at herself.

Her uniform was dirty. There was dried blood on her sleeves.

Her hair was a mess from the battle.

She wrinkled her nose.

I probably smell terrible.

After fighting for her life from a giant Beast, almost killed by a zerg beast, carrying wounded students for half an hour, she definitely didn’t feel fresh.

Vivian looked around.

There was a private bathroom attached to the cabin.

She walked inside.

The bathroom was surprisingly luxurious. The bathing bowl was white and clean. Everywhere smells fresh.

She washed her face first. Cold water ran over her skin.

Vivian looked at herself in the mirror.

Her eyes looked tired.

There were faint traces of blood near her neck.

Her hair was tangled. "I look terrible."

She decided to take a proper bath. She opened the door Vega was still laying motionless.

She turned back.

After locking the bathroom door, Vivian removed her dirty clothes and stepped into the shower.

Warm water poured over her. She closed her eyes.

For the first time since the attack, her body finally relaxed.

The battle replayed in her mind.

The giant spider. Ina and her gang.

The students falling into darkness. Vega transforming into a dragon.

And the way he had torn the Zerg apart.

Vivian opened her eyes.

She immediately shook her head.

"No."

She wasn’t going to think about him.

After bathing, Vivian dried herself. She looked into the mirror..the Dog tattoo on her neck was faint but still there. She touched it and didn’t feel pain like Beeny had said. She sighed and wondered why Beeny was quiet since they entered Vega’s room.

She pulled a clean dress from her storage ring.

She put it on and fixed her hair.

Then she stepped out of the bathroom.

The cabin was quiet.

Vega was still on the couch.

Apparently, he hadn’t moved at all.

Vivian stared at him.

Is he sleeping?

She took a few steps closer.

Then she noticed something strange.

Tiny blue lights were floating around his body.

They weren’t machines. They were spiritual energy.

Thousands of tiny blue particles drifted through the air around him.

Some moved slowly. Others flickered like stars.

Vivian’s eyes widened.

His spiritual energy is leaking out?

The blue particles suddenly changed direction.

Several of them floated toward Vivian.

One brushed against her cheek.

Another tangled itself gently into her hair.

A third circled around her fingers before disappearing into her skin.

Vivian was frightened. "What are these?" She was pushing them away from entering her body.

The blue lights continued gathering around her.

And inside her consciousness...The golden Lotus suddenly trembled..

Her Lotus woke up..her eyes brightened.."Master... go closer to him. His spiritual energy is inviting us."
