Chapter 73: I DONT WANT HER HERE.

VEGA

Vega woke up instantly. His eyes snapped open..For a few seconds, he didn’t move.

Then the pain hit.

His head throbbed violently, and every part of his body felt as though he had been thrown against a wall.

Vega frowned.

Why does my body hurt this much?

He slowly pushed himself off the bed.

His legs trembled. He reached for his wheelchair, pulled it closer, and lowered himself into it.

The moment he sat down...

A voice came from behind him. "You’re awake? So early?"

Vega froze. He turned around. His eyes narrowed. Someone was standing near the window.

The man looked exactly like him.

Same face. Same silver-blue eyes. Same long hair. Same cold features.

But his expression was completely different.

He wore a faint, irritating smile.

Vega stared at him. "How did I recover this quickly?"

The other Vega shrugged. "Nothing. I don’t know anything."

Vega’s eyes became colder. That smile told him everything. "Something happened."

The second Vega smiled wider. "You think you are very smart. I said nothing happened."

Vega clenched his fist. "You took over my body last night?"

"Yeah."

The second Vega turned around casually. "I had to."

"The ship was getting destroyed by a 4S Zerg. The commanders requested your help. I can’t sit there and watch everyone die?"

"So I took over your body to fight for about ten minutes. I made sure it didn’t take more than 12 minutes like you ordered.."

The other Vega cannot use Vega’s power for more than 12 minutes but he can take over his body for a long time. After 12 minutes his spiritual power will lose control and harm others.

He sighed dramatically. "Do you know how difficult it is to act like you?"

Vega’s expression darkened. He looked toward the table. His uniform from the previous night was lying there.

He picked it up and brought it close to his nose.

He smelled it carefully. Nothing unusual. No unfamiliar scent. No strange spiritual residue. But Vega knew his own body.

Something was wrong.

He shouldn’t have recovered this quickly.

Normally, after using that much spiritual energy, it would take him nearly a month to fully recover.

And he was already dangerously close to going berserk.

Yet his body had recovered far faster than it should have.

The second Vega watched him silently.

Then he spoke. "Do you really not want to try another female Spiritual Soothing?"

Vega’s eyes hardened.

"We can’t simply keep listening to what that evil Saintess says."

"What if there’s another female who can actually heal you?"

"I don’t want to hear about this anymore."

The second Vega sighed. "You’re stubborn."

Vega turned toward him. "I hope no other person entered my room."

The second Vega didn’t answer. Vega immediately noticed.

His eyes darted around nervously.

"Who came in?"

Still no answer. Vega released a frustrated breath.

His second self replied. "I don’t care if you really came to Ignora to die."

He looked directly at Vega. "But if you’re going to die, die alone."

"Leave your body for me to control."

The second Vega smiled. Vega looked away.

I don’t want to admit this. This shameless spiritual energy is mine.

But this spiritual energy isn’t completely mindless like other Beast spiritual energy. It has its own thoughts. Its own personality.

It’s my spiritual energy. No one else can see him. Except me.

And when my body becomes weak enough... He can take control of my body.

A knock suddenly came from the door.

Vega straightened. The door opened.

A robot entered. "Sentinel Vega."

Vega nodded. "Can you retrieve the records from the ship?"

The robot paused. "Which records?"

"My activities."

He looked toward it. "Everything from the moment the ship began to capsize until we arrived on Ignora."

The second Vega’s eyes widened. "Umm..."

He immediately stepped forward. "Vega, you really don’t need to watch those."

Vega turned toward him. "Why?"

"There’s nothing embarrassing." The second Vega smiled nervously. "Unless you think I would use your tongue to lick the toilet or something."

Vega stared at him. "I don’t trust you."

The second Vega placed a hand over his chest.

"Why? Have I not been a good energy to you?"

"You threatened to use my tongue to lick the toilet if I didn’t let you take control of my body." Vega’s expression remained cold. "So I have to be careful."

He paused. "And I already told you."

"Never touch a female using my body."

The second Vega sighed. "Fine."

The robot projected the recording. A holographic screen appeared.

Vega watched.

Then...His expression changed.

Vivian appeared on the screen. She was in his room.

Cooking. Burning bread. Arguing with the robot.

Vega stared silently. Then the recording showed his other self waking up.

He watched himself walk toward Vivian.

Then...He wrapped his arm around her waist.

Vega’s eyes widened. His other self pressed his face against Vivian’s cheek.

Vega immediately covered his face. "...You."

The second Vega smiled.

Vega’s ears turned red. "You have destroyed my image in front of her."

The recording continued. Vivian pushed him. He knew that was why he had body pains. He had a great fall.

Vega covered his face even tighter.

Then he watched Vivian touch his chest.

His eyes widened again.

His face became completely red. "How could she? Doesn’t she have shame?."

The second Vega laughed. "You’re blushing."

Vega glared at him. "Why did you behave like that in her presence?"

The second Vega shrugged. "I was trying to act like you."

"Cold. Unbothered. Nonchalant."

He smiled. "But her scent..."

He closed his eyes. "It was incredibly sweet."

Vega’s expression darkened.

"And?"

"Her presence alone calmed me. It made me jump in joy around her."

The second Vega smiled mischievously. "So I pretended to be asleep so I could stay close to her. So I went over and hugged her."

Vega stared at him. "You..."

"You should be happy."

"Why?"

"My Mistress likes your body. You should be jumping with joy. If not that, I don’t have a body. Do you think she will touch yours? "

Vega’s face became colder. "She is not your Mistress!!."

The second Vega laughed. "You’re angry."

"I am not."

"You’re blushing again."

"I am not."

The second Vega leaned closer. "Then why are you so upset? Or did you have bad thoughts of her touching you. You are trying your best to fight it.?"

Vega turned away. "This should be the last time."

His voice became firm. "I don’t want her here."

"I don’t want Vivian anywhere near me."

The second Vega stared at him for a moment. Then he smiled. "Keep pretending."

Vega looked at him.

"You know I am you." He tapped his chest. "And you are me."

His smile widened. "I know you’re happy you saw her."

Vega’s eyebrows furrowed. "What relationship do I have with her?"

He stared at the holographic image of Vivian cooking for him while sweating.

"Why would I be happy to see her?"

Before the second Vega could answer, the robot interrupted.

"Sentinel Vega."

A new holographic screen appeared.

"This is the area you are scheduled to inspect today."

Vega glanced at the map.

The bell rang and the robot went to the door.

Vega pressed the bottom and the wheelchair moved to the Toilet.

After 20 minutes he was done freshening up. He moved to his office

A young male soldier entered his office and immediately saluted.

"Sentinel."

Vega nodded. The soldier stood at attention. After saluting. They discussed the recent Zerg attack and where they are to create more defense. Especially to minimize the death of the newly recruited soldiers.

The Officer turned to leave.

Vega suddenly remembered something. "Wait."

The soldier looked at him.

"Who assigned the new recruit, Vivian Valen, to take care of me?"

The soldier hesitated. "Umm..."

He checked the report. "Instructor Vincent."

Vega’s expression became cold.

"Tell Instructor Vincent something."

"Yes, Sentinel."

"Tell him Vivian Valen is not to come here again."

The soldier looked surprised.

Vega’s eyes hardened. "She disrespected me."

"I don’t want that soldier anywhere near me."
