<2 roles for 1 person and the chaotic Demon World (10)>

Cale looked at Clopeh and thought to himself.

‘This guy really is a crazy bastard.’

Count Ruiphe.

Although it had been a long time since he went missing; although it was almost confirmed that he had died, many of the residents of Diorelle were still waiting for his return.

“So umm, Mr. Kaseh?”

“Yes sir.”

“Do you mean everything you just said?”

“Yes sir.”

“Cra-, ah, nevermind.”

The administrator talking to Clopeh barely held back from saying ‘crazy bastard’ out loud.

He wiped the sweat off his forehead and peeked around.

Everybody was blankly looking at him, no, the crazy bastard in front of him.

Count Ruiphe.

He was someone who had a lot of achievements in the trade business not just in Diorelle but throughout the entire Demon World.

One of the things that the residents of Diorelle were proudest of was the ‘New Business Department.’

‘Those who wish to start a new business but do not have the capital to do so, come to us!’

‘If you have the funds and a goal but no chance to fulfill your dreams, come to us!’

The foundation behind how a mining city also ended up as a commerce center had to do with the New Business Department and those slogans.

“Ho-”

The man wiping the sweat off his forehead…

He was proud of the fact that he worked in the New Business Department.

But ever since Count Ruiphe disappeared, the New Business Department had to hesitate.

Actually, it wasn’t just the New Business Department but most of the departments in the Lord’s Castle and the entire territory, as well as related merchant guilds and mines.

Everybody was hesitant and everything was spiraling down.

‘We can’t let it keep going like this. We need to choose a new territory lord!’

This was the reason people started to hope for a new territory lord. Finally, a new territory lord would be selected within a month.

However-

“So-”

For the first time in a long while…

“You wish to buy a mine?”

“Yes sir.”

“…Not an operations permit or a business dealing with transporting the ores that come out but buying out an entire mine?”

“Yes sir.”

Kaseh.

The black-haired green-eyed man smiled softly.

He was dressed in commoner clothing, but the way he sat, his tone, everything made him look not normal.

Most importantly…

Peek.

The pouch placed on top of the table…

That pouch was so full of jewels it was overflowing.

But all of those jewels looked extremely precious.

“Umm-”

A crazy bastard who suddenly appeared to say he wanted to buy a mine…

At least he looked rich.

“Yes sir.”

Kaseh, no, Clopeh Sekka, continued in a gentle tone.

“Please, there is no need to speak so formally, sir. I heard that it was best to visit the New Business Department if we wanted to start a new business related to the territory.”

“That is true, but-”

It was true, but!

‘I specialize in small business creation!’

Most of the people he faced at this window were inventors who wanted investors, small merchant guilds, or merchants who wanted permission to handle small things around the territory!

‘A mine?!

I can’t deal with something so big!’

And it wasn’t just any mine.

“Umm, Mr. Kaseh, the mine you want-”

“Yes sir. I want the Moraka Mine.”

“Gasp!”

The administrator subconsciously gasped. He subconsciously stuttered as he spoke.

“Mr. Kaseh, d, do you know w, what that place-”

“Of course I do. I believe young master Simon owns that mine right now.”

“Eek!”

‘He knows that but still wants that mine?!’

Not just this administrator but other administrators around the area gasped or shook their heads.

The Moraka Mine.

That was a mine owned by young master Simon, one of the two candidates to become the next territory lord.

He was the only member of the House of Ruiphe being pushed for the position.

‘It’s also the mine producing the most right now.’

Gulp.

The administrator thought to himself.

‘This is not something I can handle.’

Drip.

As cold sweat dripped down past his forehead to his cheek…

“Is it that I do not have enough money?”

Clopeh gently commented.

“I can prepare as much money as needed. Mm. How can I prove this-”

The administrators and residents dreaming of launching their own businesses all blankly stared at the leisurely speaking man.

At that moment…

Boom.

There was a small thud and the quiet man next to Clopeh placed a pouch on the table.

Shhh.

The man opened the pouch.

Chhhhhh-

“!”

Magic stones poured out.

It was clearly visible that they were at minimum high-grade magic stones-

“Haha. My second bro must be feeling rushed.”

Clopeh looked at Cale and smiled with satisfaction.

“That, uhh-”

The administrator opened his mouth to say something, but-

Clunk.

He heard a chair moving from the innermost area of the office and closed his mouth.

He turned around, and…

Clopeh and Cale looked toward there as well.

A middle-aged man who looked extremely strict addressed Clopeh.

“It looks like we will need to discuss this inside.”

Clopeh looked at him before looking back at Cale.

Smile.

He smiled at Cale and got up.

“Second bro. You come too.”

“Okay. Hyung.”

Cale and Clopeh followed the strict-looking man toward the inside.

‘Terrosa, one of the current Demon King’s confidants.’

The person in charge of the New Business Department was one of Terrosa’s subordinates.

‘Cale-nim. I think the easiest way to approach Terrosa is through the New Business Department.’

Last night…

After leaving On and Hong to nurse Sui Khan, Cale and Clopeh had a meeting all night.

Raon had to use a lot of magic in the process, but they managed to prepare a lot of things as a result.

‘Aurora stepped in.’

Aurora, after learning that the Church of the God of Chaos and the Pope’s residence was related to Count Ruiphe’s territory, also after realizing the danger of the grey illness, decided to follow Cale’s will.

‘I’m relieved. I’m glad Aurora cares about the Demon World more than the current Demon King.’

The current Demon King’s popularity would plummet once the grey illness spread.

That was the moment the Church of the God of Chaos was going to swallow the Demon World, but Aurora had a lot to gain if she used that moment to her advantage as well.

But she still chose to prevent that from happening.

‘I was grinding my teeth watching the shit that the Demon King has done. I cannot become like him.’

Aurora, who learned that the current Demon King used the souls of members of the Demonic race to turn them into NPCs in New World, said she could not do the same thing.

“Mr. Kaseh.”

The strict-looking man stopped walking in front of a door.

“Could you please wait a moment in here?”

He smiled as he spoke in an official manner.

“In order to discuss the topic in more detail-”

But Clopeh cut him off and said what he wanted to say.

“Are you going to get Terrosa-nim?”

“……!”

The middle-aged man’s office poker face cracked a bit and Clopeh chuckled as he commented.

“I am someone who is pushing for Terrosa-nim.”

Terrosa, the current Demon King’s confidant.

Young master Simon, the collateral line of the House of Ruiphe.

One of those two would soon end up as the territory lord.

“…….”

The strict man answered with a stiff look on his face.

“She doesn’t keep people who reveal their thoughts so easily like this.”

It was a warning, but…

“I’m not sure about that. I’m just someone who is dreaming of becoming a wealthy merchant.”

The middle-aged man’s face relaxed after seeing Clopeh’s greedy smile.

“Please wait here. That decision is not yours to make.”

“Yes sir. Please go ahead. I look forward to hearing good news.”

The middle-aged man opened the reception room door as he left and Clopeh and Cale went inside before closing the door.

Click.

They then sat next to each other on the couch and stared at the empty spot on the other side.

It became silent.

“Second bro.”

“Yeah.”

“Are you going to leave it all up to me?”

“Yeah.”

The two of them did not say anything else after that.

Because they had no idea if there were any listening devices here.

Click.

The door soon opened.

They did not see the middle-aged man.

Instead, a woman walked inside.

She was short and skinny.

She looked like a reed that could fall over at any moment and even her face was not very distinct.

“Nice to meet you.”

Terrosa.

She was someone who showed no charisma at all.

But that thought changed once you looked into her eyes.

“You wish to purchase young master Simon’s mine?”

They were extremely clear as if they were made of glass.

She was famous for her intelligence.

“Yes ma’am.”

Clopeh leisurely answered before continuing.

“I heard that the mining has been halted for the past year. It is my understanding that it was because of a lack of funds. If I can purchase the mine, I will resume mining as quickly as possible.”

Young master Simon.

He stopped mining there because he was aiming to become the next Count.

His mine was in the middle of the pack when it came to the amount mined in the territory, so his decision to stop mining had caused all sorts of issues.

His mine was a magic stone mine so even though the amount mined was in the middle of the pack, when looking at just the magic stones, it could be seen as the most important mine in the territory.

“I would love a meeting with young master Simon to proceed with the purchase immediately.”

“Mm.”

Clopeh Sekka.

Terrosa quietly observed the man who introduced himself as Kaseh before opening her mouth.

“This is my first time seeing you. I also have no background information on you.”

After saying those words, she just smiled.

The smile looked weak but her gaze was so clear that it looked formidable.

At that moment…

Boom.

Cale placed the pouch of magic stones on the table between the two couches.

Magic stones poured out of the open pouch.

“!”

Terrosa’s gaze changed.

Clopeh smiled gently as he asked.

“Do you know the value of this pouch?”

“…….”

Terrosa was silent for a moment before barely managing to speak.

“…They are highest-grade magic stones. This is my first time seeing such high quality magic stones.”

‘Where did they get such things?’

She held those words back.

These magic stones were mined from the mine Cale earned from the first world he visited. They were highest-grade, highest-quality magic stones that a world, Xiaolen, had procured for Cale.

Clopeh pulled a magic stone out of the pouch, placed it in front of her, and…

Tap.

“It looks like I have confirmed my abilities.”

Then he pulled a piece of paper out of his pocket.

“Who are you?”

He placed the paper in front of Terrosa as well.

“Where did you come from?”

Clopeh smiled at her as he continued.

“I’m sure you are curious about all those things. So please take a look.”

“…….”

Terrosa opened up the rolled up paper Clopeh had offered her.

“!”

She jumped up from her seat.

“You-”

“Count Ruiphe is said to not have any blood relatives.”

He had never married.

He was also known to not have any children.

That was how young master Simon, who seemed to be the most talented among the closest relatives, gained his power.

“I have the qualifications.”

Clopeh smiled.

But Terrosa could not.

“…….”

The paper was a birth certificate.

It had Count Ruiphe’s signature and his seal, confirming that the man in front of her was Count Ruiphe’s son.

Terrosa could only gasp as the signature was the same as the signatures she had been looking at all year, making it possible that it was not a fake.

Especially the seal… This seemed like the real deal. The seal that had the Count’s mana was an even greater proof.

Last night… And early this morning.

‘Human, I can’t tell how many times I’ve teleported at this point! I got it from Aurora! Aurora went to New World to meet Count Ruiphe and prepare everything!’

It was the result of Cale, Clopeh, and Raon putting in a ton of effort.

“Please feel free to go get it confirmed.”

“…….”

The smile disappeared from Terrosa’s face.

The reason for that came out of Clopeh’s mouth.

“What is wrong? Do you suddenly feel like you are going to lose the territory lord position?”

“!”

Terrosa’s pupils started to shake.

If this certificate was real, now that a true heir has appeared…

But Clopeh did not stop there.

He gently continued to speak.

“You can’t lose the territory lord position, Terrosa-nim. You must carry on the will of the Demon King-nim.”

Demon King.

Terrosa’s gaze turned calm as soon as those words were mentioned.

Clopeh and Terrosa…

The two of them looked at each other.

Clopeh recalled information about Terrosa.

‘A loyal vassal and follower of the current Demon King.’

She was like a crazed believer who believed that the current Demon King would become the first ever Demon God.

This was a very famous story.

‘Yeah. A crazed believer.’

To her, the current Demon King was already the Demon God.

Clopeh automatically started smiling.

‘Oops.’

But he suppressed that smile.

He thought it would end up as a crumpled smile.

“I have no plans on revealing myself.”

Clopeh calmly commented.

“Please give me money.”

He pointed at Terrosa.

“And you become the territory lord.”

He then quietly whispered to her.

“The Demon King-nim, no, the Demon God’s will must be fulfilled, no?”

“…….”

Terrosa’s cold gaze slowly turned odd.

The corners of her lips slowly curled up.

She smiled as she spoke.

“How would someone like you know the will of the Demon King-nim?”

She seemed a bit angry.

She actually was a bit angry.

How dare he mention the Demon King-nim in front of her?

But Terrosa got swept up in an emotion she could not explain after looking into Clopeh’s eyes.

Clopeh answered her.

“I don’t but I’m sure you do.”

Clopeh’s eyes looked serious.

The eccentric passion within those eyes…

“Because you are the only one walking alongside the Demon King-nim.”

Terrosa felt her heart thump.

His voice sounded sincere.

The two of them could not look away from each other.

‘Wow.’

As for the second bro watching them… Cale started to think.

He thought Raon would say something like this.

‘Human! Both of their eyes look totally insane!’

Cale just quietly sat there.

‘Clopeh is the one doing the one person two roles thing.’

Pretending to be a wanderer from the Five Colors Bloods…

Pretending to be Count Ruiphe’s only heir and doing all of the trivial things as well…

Cale watched Clopeh taking care of things and leisurely just went with the flow.

This kind of relaxation… This was the first time.

While that was going on, Clopeh had a thought on his mind as well.

‘I too know that very well.’

Just like this Terrosa…

‘The path that Cale-nim will walk… I know what I have to do from now on as someone walking down that path together.’

The Church of the God of Chaos.

And the Demon World.

The Hunters.

‘Only the path that Cale-nim is walking is clear in the chaos and commotion they will cause.’

The passion residing deep within Clopeh’s eyes slowly started to reveal itself.

If Raon was here, he would say that his eyes have rolled over about 1245 degrees.

Unfortunately, Cale did not notice that.
