Treasure Hunting System: The Ocean Conquerer
Chapter 1301 - 515: Ascension Peak (Part 3)
Although it’s supposed to be a break, they were actually wandering around, replenishing some supplies for the ship and purchasing materials they needed.
Regardless, they would need a whole day.
Once you’ve passed this village, this place won’t be here, and there’s no telling when they’ll return to such a bustling Landmark Island.
Upon hearing Alka’s words, everyone nodded with a smile and jumped off in groups of two or three.
Even the Puppet Girls were chirping by everyone’s side, hanging onto them, eager to tag along.
This led to the group wearing several attachments unintentionally.
Alka, Chadite, and Lucilia jumped down together.
Lucilia sat atop Chadite’s shoulder.
They pushed through the crowd.
And arrived at the street leading to the inner city.
Right upon entering, they saw a place resembling a recruitment center with a long queue.
According to the sign next to it, Alka and her companions glanced over.
"It’s actually the World Scar aid team recruitment."
"Not strong enough, next," said a Priest in Holy Mother Church robes, glancing at the young man before him.
"I’m about to reach the Third Stage! I can definitely advance on the way," the young man couldn’t help but say.
Upon hearing this, the Priest looked him over: "Then come back when you’ve reached the Third Stage."
"But it will be too late! By then, I’ll be several steps behind others on their way to aid the World Scar."
The Priest was unmoved, waving him away.
The young man could only shrug helplessly and leave.
Even Alka saw a light spot on the young man’s body.
"It seems people here are very enthusiastic about aiding the World Scar," Chadite couldn’t help but say.
Upon hearing this, Alka looked around and said, "Although this place is large, you can’t deny that it has large bases for three Churches.
This is a recruitment notice issued by the Divine themselves, so the attraction for these believers is immense."
Moreover, Alka also noticed the sign mentioning going to support the Holy War.
Such big labels were put out.
After watching for a while, they headed toward the streets’ entrance, where they could see densely populated architectural groups.
Caravans transporting goods and people in diverse attire moved back and forth inside.
On both sides of the sprawling streets stood an array of shops, these shops even used dazzling signs, flickering one by one.
It could be seen that some sort of sparkling Spell was used.
This scene showed the trio the island’s prosperity.
Among these many buildings, there were also temples and shrines that radiated holiness and majesty.
Although one could feel the ancient aura of these buildings, Alka should not be mistaken, they were indeed meant for worshiping some deities.
One could feel the aura within, but not the Four Gods.
Yet correspondingly, Alka also didn’t notice any overly sacred or intense energy aura within these temples.
Possibly more akin to ancestor worship or similar.
Based on the architectural style, it’s clear that this place has maintained traditions through the ages.
These temples, due to their shared style, perfectly merged into the surrounding buildings, becoming part of the scenery.
Towering and majestic, they display the island’s cultural heritage and faith.
So even when the Four Gods Church arrived later, they didn’t demolish these temples and kept their original appearance.
Alka and the others wandered around the island.
The area they were strolling through should be managed by the Holy Mother Church, because alongside the temples, Alka noticed more shops with Holy Mother’s statues or golden wheat spikes hanging on the walls.
These are essential items for daily prayers to the Holy Mother, and almost every shop has these two things.
It’s obvious that this area is indeed managed by the Holy Mother Church, and you can also see some Priests with Holy Mother Church attire walking back and forth on the streets.
"But oddly, I haven’t seen where the Holy Mother Church’s cathedral is built?" Chadite wondered, while wandering for half a day, continually turning his head, observing, but didn’t see any building resembling the Holy Mother Church.
Whether from gathered intelligence or just seeing the Holy Mother, there should indeed be a Great Cathedral.
Such cathedrals are usually highly conspicuous; a casual glance will reveal them. Not to mention for Alka and her companions, the sacred aura is readily detectable.
"Are you looking for the cathedral?" asked a Priest in a white robe with golden edges, suddenly speaking as he walked past.
Alka nodded.
"The Ascension Peak Cathedral is on the mountainside; you must climb a stretch of mountain road to reach it."
Upon hearing this, Alka quickly thanked him.
The reason why the Priest noticed Alka was because of the thick Holy Light on Alka’s body, along with the same radiance on Chadite.
If he wasn’t mistaken, they should be a Saint Son and a Saintess.
