Treasure Hunting System: The Ocean Conquerer
Chapter 1473 - 573: The Long 10 Years
World Scar.
Giant Stone City.
This city is the entire World Scar, or the largest city within the Endless Sea.
It originated from the expansion of the original Giant Stone City.
When the Demon Defense Wall was under threat and demons launched large-scale attacks, expansion began.
From that time onwards, a vast amount of resources from all over the world came here.
Increasing resources and population, coupled with the pressure from the front line, caused the Giant Stone City to grow larger. Eventually, it absorbed several neighboring cities into one, becoming the largest city in the Endless Sea.
As the expansion continued, twenty-some years have passed since the demons launched their large-scale attack.
"This city is just too big!"
A brand new ship sailed through the ocean, approaching slowly.
The sprawling dock along the entire coastline was something the ship’s crew had never seen in their lives.
This ship was merely a typical Ghost Ship, with its name visible on the side.
Golden Ocean.
A perfectly normal name that fits the style of this world, not conspicuous but very memorable.
The ship’s figurehead depicted a very normal-looking woman holding a Sea Pearl aloft.
But on the side of the ship, you could see golden wheat ears surrounding a crown, resembling the style of the Holy Mother Church.
"Is this island the World Scar?" a young person on the ship couldn’t help but say, looking at the island.
The crew member next to him nodded.
"Yes, this should be the World Scar. What we’re seeing here, the dock spanning the full coastline, is the Giant Stone City."
Argus, the captain, appeared to be a man in his thirties or forties.
"After sailing this Endless Sea for so long, we’ve finally made it here. It’s been tough."
"Alright, stop sighing. Let’s think about how to dock."
After some guidance, they finally docked at a berth and stepped off the ship onto the city’s ground.
"So many people, so prosperous. I’ve been sailing the Endless Sea for so long and never seen such a thriving city."
"Of course, there are goods and people here from all over the world."
But the overall atmosphere of the city didn’t seem as solemn and tense as they imagined; it was far more relaxed than a military-controlled city.
Different from what they thought.
Once settled.
They arrived at the center of the city.
"Are these 12 towers the legendary Tower of Trial?"
"I wouldn’t say legendary; we just heard about them a decade ago."
The ship had about twenty crew members, but only the captain and the first mate possessed a Treasure.
Only these two members had reached the Fourth Stage in strength.
They had come on this journey to undergo trials, naturally.
You could see people continuously standing on the Teleportation Platform to enter the Tower of Trial, and people continuously coming out.
Expressions varied from joyful to disappointed.
As the captain and first mate, the two went directly to the registration area.
After a brief wait in line.
"First time?"
The two nodded.
"Then I must remind you, it’s wartime. If you don’t want to support the frontline, you temporarily can’t use the Tower of Trial."
This standard was proposed in the second year following the creation of the Tower of Trial.
Initially, those forces willingly offered support because it improved the quality of frontline troops, helping them to resist demons better.
But starting in the second year, people from all parts of the world came to occupy these soldiers’ positions, which was completely unacceptable.
Since the Tower of Trial was essentially a reward for the sacrifices of frontline soldiers, a form of assurance.
Clearly, the two had already planned for this, nodded, and signed a contract.
They only needed to support for a year to use the Tower of Trial.
If they successfully passed the trials and obtained a Treasure, it would add another year of support time.
But of course, they wouldn’t be treated as cannon fodder; that obviously wouldn’t happen.
On the edge of these 12 towers.
A few people were looking at these 12 Towers of Trial.
"Aren’t we acting a bit too leisurely?" Jason and his group were wandering through the city, when Jason suddenly said.
Upon hearing this.
Nearby, Ulu Liwus rolled his eyes at Jason.
At this point, Ulu Liwus’s appearance and demeanor no longer resembled a young girl, but more like a mature woman in her late twenties.
She had become more mature.
"Well, if you feel guilty, you can be as busy as them," Juanlu said from the side.
"No, no," Jason smiled and waved his hand.
These few were Jason, Ulu Liwus, Juanlu, and Matilda.
Jason said next to him, "Although I’m a minor deity, I have no desire to be busy."
Jason and Ulu Liwus had ascended to divinity long ago.
They became a rare one-god two-being.
The core of their Ascension to Divinity was, of course, hope.
But within the divine system, the two could be considered the weakest, as they could barely ascend.
Their duty was naturally to bring hope and save the world.
Stationed at the World Scar, they carried out various activities, which was essentially saving the world.
