Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations
Chapter 1926: Dreaming of Anton Ford Scolding Her
Feeling the warmth from his body, she couldn’t help but recall the moments from last night, her eyes brimming with laughter, her cheeks flushing...
He is indeed so gentle.
"What’s up?" Trevor turned his eyes, not stopping his action of pan-frying the steak, "Did you sleep well last night?"
"What do you think?" the girl replied coyly.
Her eyelashes were dark and mysterious as she hugged him tightly, nestling against his back, "Trevor, thinking that every day in the future could be like this makes me feel so happy."
"Two people, one home, three meals, four seasons." Trevor held her hand, his handsome face also showing a hint of a smile, "That’s precisely the happiness I desire."
Being able to marry him, she feels incredibly lucky.
And marrying her, he also feels incredibly lucky.
This morning, Abby Sawyer got up early; she stayed up too late reading the script last night, dreaming of acting alongside Anton Miller, the movie star.
She dreamed that she messed up her performance and was scolded severely by him.
Still reeling from the shock of the nightmare, she finished her morning routine, wondering, "Was it really that bad?"
She then pulled her sister for another rehearsal at home.
"Sis, I think you did great, really!" Joanna Sawyer gave her a thumbs up, "For Telma’s role, you don’t need to act much; just standing there, that determination comes through."
"Don’t comfort me, I dreamed last night that I was harshly scolded by the male lead, Anton Miller."
"Dreams generally are opposite of reality!" Joanna patted her sister’s shoulder, comforting her, "I dreamed I won ten million in the lottery, but woke up still extremely poor."
Having her delightful sister enliven the atmosphere, Abby’s nervousness about her first acting didn’t feel as intense.
Then the two had breakfast together, and she took her sister to the company.
And then she went to the hotel where the crew was stationed.
She was relatively early.
In the second-floor makeup room, some actors had already arrived, but when they saw Abby enter, there were odd looks in their eyes.
Violet Sutton’s sudden replacement was known to everyone.
And the rumor about Abby being CEO Kingston’s lover exploded overnight, with people half-believing.
Why doubt?
Because believing in CEO Kingston’s character and taste, even if he were to find someone, it wouldn’t be an average to so ordinary new assistant.
Why believe then?
Because the replaced Violet Sutton was the director’s niece, with a status above the director, and only CEO Kingston had the power to change casting.
So, about this bizarre matter, the private speculations could write a book.
Moreover, this world is full of malice towards women, with hearts equally envious and jealous.
Abby doesn’t mind; she doesn’t explain, nor does she greet them proactively, choosing instead to walk into the makeup room.
She knows this area is communal; as a newcomer, she will leave better spots for seniors, as this is fundamental etiquette.
Abby walked towards the innermost spot.
"Who knows what kind of tricks were pulled."
"Hmph, such people don’t last long in the circle; having no talent, relying on men isn’t a skill."
She heard disdainful voices as she passed by some actors, but proud as she was, she didn’t turn her head nor stop.
Since the other side didn’t name names, and it’s the first day of filming, arguing with them here has no point; clarity will come on its own.
Abby sat at the innermost spot, gazing at herself in the mirror, without an agent, without an assistant, no staff attending to her.
Yet, in her clear and beautiful eyes lies a power; she is determined to deliver the best performance, endow Telma with a soul in this drama.
