Chapter 353: Feed It to the Dogs

Late at night, the private room at VIC was alive with music and merrymaking.

Glass after glass of strong liquor went down. Wan Jiakai and his friends, who were already on their second stop for the night, were all starting to feel a little drunk.

As the group’s “captain” and Wan Jiakai’s older cousin, Wan Jiaze had been a bit reserved at first. But surrounded by a bevy of charming women and their coquettish calls of “Big Brother,” he had now completely let loose.

As for Gu Heng, ever since Jiang Ruan had arrived, he’d ignored the other girls, content to just keep an arm around her while drinking and singing with Wan Jiakai.

Hearing this, a knowing smile touched Gu Heng’s lips. “In fact, everything you’re seeing right now is just the appetizer. The real main event is still to come.”

“What main event?”

A flicker of curiosity sparked in Jiang Ruan’s eyes.

“Well…”

Gu Heng lowered his voice and briefly described two “interesting” little games in Jiang Ruan’s ear.

“In front of so many people?”

Jiang Ruan’s mouth fell slightly open, her eyes betraying a hint of shock.

“Of course.”

At this, Gu Heng deliberately teased her, “You know, I’ve only ever heard about those interesting little games, I’ve never actually played them. I think I want to try one tonight~”

“If you wanted to play, then why did you ask me to come?!”

“Then go play!”

“I’ll go outside and wait for you!”

Gu Heng put on a serious face. “What if someone harasses you again?”

“Then I’ll go to the restroom.”

“I’ll come out after you guys finish playing.”

Jiang Ruan was like a pouting child, absolutely refusing to watch Gu Heng get intimate with other girls right in front of her.

“What condition?”

A wicked smile played on Gu Heng’s lips as he whispered in her ear.

Jiang Ruan understood instantly, a crimson blush creeping up her cheeks.

“It’s a different kind of feeling~”

Gu Heng was like the big bad wolf tempting a little white rabbit. “So? Is it a deal? Or would you rather watch me play those… *interesting* little games with the other girls?”

“You pervert!”

Jiang Ruan scolded, a mix of indignation and embarrassment in her voice.

“Hm?”

“Are you only just realizing that?”

Gu Heng feigned surprise, retorting with a question of his own.

“You…”

Jiang Ruan looked into Gu Heng’s smiling eyes. She opened her mouth and gently bit his ear with her pearly teeth, then whispered, “If you’re going to make me watch you play with them… then you might as well come home and play with me tonight.”

After saying this, Jiang Ruan was too embarrassed to lift her head, burying her face in the crook of Gu Heng’s neck.

Hearing Jiang Ruan’s consent, the smile on Gu Heng’s face grew even wider. He immediately picked up his glass and nudged Wan Jiakai, who had his fingers dipped in his own glass. “Bro, stop messing around and drink up!”

“Hold on.”

“Let me take a breather.”

“I’ve had too much. I honestly can’t stomach another drop.”

Wan Jiakai pulled his hand out. Seeing Gu Heng challenging him to another drink, his expression fell.

“Are you serious?”

“If you can drink, drink. If you can’t, just say so. What’s all this about needing to ‘take a breather’?”

Gu Heng suddenly put on a look of dawning realization, his eyes filled with scrutiny and suspicion. “You know, I think I’m suddenly starting to understand why both Xu Ruo and Sun Yanyan broke up with you after only a few days.”

“The hell?”

“What the fuck is that look on your face?”

“You don’t know jack shit!”

Seeing Gu Heng’s expression, Wan Jiakai knew he was up to no good.

“What else could it be?”

“You even need to ‘take a breather’ when you’re drinking with your bros.”

“I can only imagine how you must have treated Xu Ruo and Sun Yanyan.”

At this, Gu Heng adopted a look of profound grief. “It’s alright, man. We’re brothers. I can see through your brave front. I totally get it now. If you need to take a breather, you just go ahead and take a breather.”

“Those women might not have understood you, or been patient with you, or accepted you for who you are, but—”

“Your brothers will!”

As he finished, Gu Heng raised his right fist and lightly thumped his chest.

“I just said I can’t drink much more and need a breather! Why are you being so dramatic?”

“Who says I’m not up to it?”

“I’m a beast, okay?!”

“Back in the day, both Xu Ruo and Sun Yanyan used to cry and beg me to stop!”

“Come on, let’s go!”

“Drink! Drink! Drink!”

“Whoever needs to ‘take a breather’ again tonight is a fucking little bitch!”

With his masculine pride on the line, Wan Jiakai couldn’t back down for even a second.

Gu Heng watched Wan Jiakai’s eyes go wide with indignation and had to suppress a laugh.

Just as the two were laughing and joking, the door to the VIC private room was quietly pushed open.

Light spilled into the room. Gu Heng looked up toward the door, only to see Chu Zhengxiong and Chu Zhengnan standing there together.

Seeing them, Gu Heng knew there was news about that business from earlier.

“Come with me.”

Gu Heng gestured to Jiang Ruan. Then he turned to Wan Jiakai and said, “We’ve got to step out for a bit. Perfect timing, though. I’ll have the ‘game master’ come in and lead you guys in some… *interesting* little games.”
