Chapter 141: Chapter 142: Fighting Over Su Luoluo (Part 2)

"She’s mine."

As Fu Feng spoke, he yanked Su Luoluo in front of him.

When Xiao Ye saw Fu Feng pull Su Luoluo over, he also reached out and grabbed her other hand. "She was supposed to be mine today. If you hadn’t ruined my plans, the two of us would be together right now."

"Together? Hmph, but you’re not, are you?" Fu Feng retorted mercilessly.

He tightened his grip on Su Luoluo’s hand and said to her, "Su Luoluo, you’re coming with me tonight."

"She wouldn’t dare! She’s with me today."

"Me."

"Me."

...

For a moment, Su Luoluo felt like a soulless marionette, yanked back and forth between the two. She felt like they were about to shake her brains into a smoothie, and her head was starting to spin.

"Enough! Haven’t you pulled enough? Any more and my arms are going to break!" Su Luoluo couldn’t take it anymore, trying to wrench her hands down as she struggled against their pulling.

"Am I an object? To be pulled around by you two like this?"

’Whether I go or not is my decision. It’s useless for them to fight over it.’

At her words, the two of them stopped pulling.

Fu Feng looked at Su Luoluo. "Fine, we won’t pull. You choose. Who will you be with tonight?"

For once, Xiao Ye stopped struggling and listened to what Fu Feng had to say.

However, although they had stilled, their gazes still clashed, shooting sparks.

Su Luoluo wiggled her hands, which were still being held, and glared at them. "Let go of me."

"No. What if he drags you away after I let go?" Fu Feng said warily.

Xiao Ye didn’t say anything, but he didn’t loosen his grip in the slightest.

Clearly, even though he hadn’t spoken, he felt the same way as Fu Feng.

"I see. Do you two not want to eat anymore?" Su Luoluo stared at the two stubborn men before her and roared through gritted teeth.

The moment she said this, they instantly let go.

They didn’t dare make another move.

Su Luoluo flexed her aching arms, which had been pulled sore, and shot them a fierce glare. "Choose? What’s there to choose? Both of you, get out."

"It’s so late. If you don’t want to sleep, fine, but I do."

After eating the roast suckling pig, Su Luoluo hadn’t rested for a moment. First, she was busy saving people, then she had to determine the cause of the poisoning, and finally, she had to investigate the case to find Su Nuannuan.

After that whole series of events, she was already exhausted.

’And these two still have the energy to think about *that* kind of thing? Do they think my body won’t just fall apart?’

It was the first time either of them had seen Su Luoluo so fierce, like a roaring lioness.

Xiao Ye lowered his gaze. ’Sure enough,’ he thought, ’now that Su Luoluo has me, she doesn’t cherish me anymore.’

Fu Feng felt his neck tense up at Su Luoluo’s outburst.

’Forget it. I should probably leave first.’

’Otherwise, I won’t get any breakfast tomorrow.’

But before leaving, he glanced at Xiao Ye.

’If this snake doesn’t move, I’m not moving either.’

But Xiao Ye didn’t insist on a standoff. Su Luoluo looked a little terrifying, like she was genuinely furious.

He didn’t want to lose his chance to eat, either.

’There’s always tomorrow. I refuse to believe I won’t find another chance.’

And just like that, one snake and one Dragon Sparrow slipped out of Su Luoluo’s window.

Seeing them leave, Su Luoluo finally let out a huge sigh of relief.

’Looks like I need to install a latch on this window. Otherwise, they’ll make a habit of climbing in whenever they feel like it.’

...

After sending the two of them away, Su Luoluo changed into some comfortable clothes and closed her eyes.

She slept soundly all night and was awakened the next morning by the piercing sunlight.

Su Luoluo looked at the light streaming through the window and stretched. ’Looks like this window doesn’t just need a latch, it needs a curtain too.’

Just as she was wondering what would be best to use for a curtain, a frantic pounding sounded at the door. "Sister Luoluo, are you awake?"

Su Luoluo quickly changed into a Beast Skin Skirt, opened the door, and saw a young Wolf-eared Beastman. "What is it? Do you need me for something?"

The young wolf-eared boy seemed to have run all the way here. He took a few deep, gasping breaths before speaking. "Sister Nuannuan is on a hunger strike and trying to kill herself! The leader sent me to come get you."

Su Luoluo was startled. ’Su Nuannuan is actually that distraught, trying to commit suicide?’

As someone who had just scraped by with her life in the Post-apocalypse, Su Luoluo felt there was nothing more important than life itself.

She worked so hard to "capture" the male leads precisely to stay alive. To think that Su Nuannuan would cherish her own life so little.

She immediately followed the young wolf-eared boy towards the tribe’s settlement.

When Su Luoluo arrived at the settlement, a large, bustling crowd had already gathered around Su Yang’s house, but no one was going inside.

It was only when she followed the young wolf-eared boy inside that she learned Su Yang had forbidden anyone from the tribe to approach.

Su Nuannuan, who was usually so exquisitely and beautifully put together, was now huddled in a corner of Su Yang’s house. Her head was bowed low, her messy hair completely covering her face as if to hide from everyone’s gaze.

Su Luoluo couldn’t see her face, but judging from her clothes, it looked like she had put up a struggle.

She glanced over before looking away. Directly in front of her, Su Yang was speaking respectfully to someone dressed in white beast skin with a stone circlet on their forehead, who looked even younger than him. "Wizard, how is she?"

"There’s nothing seriously wrong with her body," the Wizard said flatly. "But her face... it’s likely beyond healing."

At these words, the person huddled in the corner trembled slightly. Su Luoluo glanced over instinctively and caught sight of Luan Ting standing behind the Wizard. He met her gaze and gave her a gentle shake of his head.

Su Luoluo quickly averted her gaze again.

Having only just returned after a full night away, Luan Ting’s face showed a trace of exhaustion, but his posture was still ramrod straight.

’I wonder how far the Witch Doctor’s home is from the tribe. It looks like Luan Ting had to travel for a long time.’

Su Luoluo returned his gesture with a smile.

After finishing his examination, the Wizard turned to Luan Ting. "You told me yesterday that everyone in the tribe was sick and poisoned, but looking at them now, they seem to be doing quite well."

Before Luan Ting could speak, Su Yang interjected, "The people of the tribe were indeed very sick, but thanks to my daughter, who found the cause, she was able to treat them. Now, almost everyone has recovered."

The Wizard heard this and asked, "Your daughter understands witchcraft?"

Su Yang smiled. "No, she doesn’t. Otherwise, we wouldn’t have asked a Witch Doctor to come."

"She doesn’t? Then how did she cure them?" the Wizard asked, puzzled.

"Well, I’m not sure about that myself. Luoluo, why don’t you explain it to the Wizard." As Su Yang said this, he gave her a look filled with hidden meaning.

Su Luoluo pouted. ’This Su Yang... he doesn’t want anyone to know about the salt, so he’s just dumping this on me.’

Grumbling aside, she also knew that the fewer people who knew about the discovery of the Salt Well and the method for purifying salt, the safer they would be.

She had no choice but to take on the mess Su Yang had handed her. She gave a half-true explanation, "I didn’t really do much. I just had the tribe members induce vomiting to get out what they ate, and then I gave them something sweet to drink."

’It was sugar water—or more accurately, an electrolyte solution, but there’s no way to explain that to people from a primitive society.’ So she could only give a vague explanation.

"Something sweet?" The Wizard frowned, having apparently never heard of such a treatment method.

Su Luoluo nodded, a little embarrassed. "It was just a lucky guess, really. Something I learned from my adoptive mother. I used to eat the wrong things all the time, and this is how she would help me."

The Wizard heard this and dismissed it as an unconventional method, not paying it much mind.

However, he did nod in approval at the measures Su Luoluo had taken. "You did well to have them induce vomiting so quickly. If you have the chance, you can come visit my place."

Su Yang’s face lit up. ’Does this mean he wants to take Su Luoluo as his apprentice?’

He said with a broad smile, "When there’s time, I will certainly bring my daughter over for a visit."

Su Luoluo was completely bewildered by the exchange, but she still nodded politely.

With that said, the Wizard took his leave. "Since there are no major problems in the Wolf Clan Tribe, I will be going."
