Chapter 111: Chapter 111: Who Else Is Unconvinced, Come and Fight Me
A flurry of blades was followed by a series of blood-curdling screams. Sun Shikang could only watch as the men he’d brought were taken down by Cui Biao’s subordinates. They lay on the ground, covered in blood, writhing and wailing without end.
Cui Biao looked at Sun Shikang and said with contempt, "Is that all you’ve got?"
Sun Shikang’s face turned pale with anger. He glared at Cui Biao and snarled, "Cui the Louse, how dare you openly oppose the Sun family! You just wait!"
He then grabbed his phone and made a call. "Uncle Fan, I’m at the Xiao family’s place! Someone’s giving me trouble! You have to get over here and back me up! You’re already here? Excellent! That’s perfect!"
Hanging up, he glared at Cui Biao with bloodshot eyes and roared, "You just wait! Just you wait!"
The words had barely left his mouth when heavy footsteps echoed from outside. Each thudding step seemed to land on everyone’s heart, making it pound so hard it felt like it would burst from their chests.
Everyone looked toward the door in confusion. A middle-aged man was striding in. He was powerfully built and well over two meters tall. His head was shaved clean, revealing a red lotus tattoo that looked both demonic and ferocious.
The moment he entered, a terrifying aura filled the air, and the temperature in the room seemed to plummet.
This was clearly not a man to be trifled with.
The Guardian of the Sun family, Fan Xiong!
Upon seeing him, Sun Shikang rushed over and exclaimed, "Uncle Fan, you’re finally here! This Cui the Louse has been bullying me to death!"
Cui Biao looked at Sun Shikang and said coldly, "Who’s really the one throwing their weight around here? Don’t you have any clue..."
Before he could finish, Fan Xiong lunged forward. In a single step that covered two meters, he appeared before Cui Biao in the blink of an eye, bringing his right fist crashing down.
Cui Biao roared, raising both fists to block. THUD! With a muffled grunt, Cui Biao staggered backward and collapsed onto the floor. His face flushed red, and as his mouth fell open, he sprayed a mouthful of blood.
One blow, and he was severely wounded!
Fan Xiong looked down at the fallen Cui Biao and chuckled. "Cui the Louse, you think someone like you can bully our young master? You think you can act so arrogantly before the Sun family?"
"You’re not worthy!"
"Master San!" Xiao Yufei cried out, rushing to help Cui Biao. It took a long moment for him to get back on his feet, his body trembling uncontrollably.
At that moment, Sun Shikang looked at Cui Biao and gloated:
"Cui Biao, do you get it now? The Sun family isn’t to be trifled with. Not so arrogant anymore, are you? Haha..."
He then turned to Scarface and the others behind him, declaring, "Who else isn’t convinced? Come on, step up! Let my Uncle Fan see what you’re made of."
Fan Xiong whipped his head around, his gaze sweeping over the crowd as he roared, "Who else isn’t convinced? Step up and fight me!"
The force of his roar alone made Scarface and his men feel their blood churn. A few of the weaker cultivators behind them were thrown back, spitting up mouthfuls of blood. Even Scarface himself swayed on his feet, nearly collapsing.
He stared at Fan Xiong, his eyes filled with terror.
Sun Shikang gloated from the side, "Do you have any idea what my Uncle Fan’s cultivation level is? I’ll tell you—Grandmaster Peak!"
"With his level of skill, he can do whatever he wants in all of Jiangcheng. And you people think you can challenge him? You’re dreaming!"
He spun around to face Xiao Yufei, cackling. "Xiao Yufei, did you really think you could rely on Cui Biao to challenge my Sun family? You were dreaming!"
"So today, you’re going to be a good girl and agree to come to bed with me. Haha..."
"In your dreams!" Xiao Yufei roared in fury.
Sun Shikang chuckled. "Oh? Still defiant? Don’t tell me you have some other backer? Come on, I’ll give you a chance to call them. Be my guest!"
Xiao Yufei was about to explode with rage, but she was completely helpless.
In terms of wealth, the Xiao family couldn’t compete with the Sun family. In terms of martial skill, who could possibly stand against Fan Xiong?
’Am I really going to be violated by this animal today?’
’Absolutely not. I’d rather die than let this beast defile me.’
Xiao Yufei turned, her eyes falling on a pair of scissors on the table. Gritting her teeth, she started walking toward it.
Just then, a cold voice echoed from the hallway. "I’ll be her backer. How about that?"
Hearing someone dare to openly defy him, Sun Shikang flew into a rage. "Who the fuck dares to challenge me? They must have a death wish!"
He looked to Fan Xiong, who was standing guard at the door, and ordered, "Uncle Fan, go see what blind fool dares to challenge the Sun family. Bring me his head."
Fan Xiong snorted coldly and turned to head out the door.
Cui Biao, however, recognized the voice. He let out a cold laugh. "I guarantee it. Fan Xiong is about to have a very bad day."
Sun Shikang exploded in anger. "You old bastard! Still running your mouth? Believe it or not, I’ll finish you right now!"
He grabbed a stool and was about to charge Cui Biao.
But at that exact moment, a blood-curdling scream echoed from the hallway, and a dark shadow flew into the room, crashing heavily to the ground.
"What the hell?" Sun Shikang turned to look, confused. The next instant, his pupils shrank to pinpricks.
A man lay stiffly on the ground, blood streaming from his nose and mouth, completely motionless.
It was Fan Xiong.
Sun Shikang shrieked, "Uncle Fan!"
He then faced the doorway, his eyes bloodshot, and roared, "Who dared to cripple the Guardian of my Sun family? Who has such a death wish?!"
His roar had barely faded when a cold voice replied from the doorway, "That would be me. Is there a problem?"
A man strode in with his hands clasped behind his back.
"Who the fuck do you think you are, opposing the Sun family? You must be tired of living—" Sun Shikang roared, his eyes bloodshot. But in the next instant, he finally got a clear look at the man and gasped.
"Ye Feng! It’s you, Ye Feng!"
Ye Feng looked at him and replied calmly, "That’s right. Ye Feng."
Seeing Ye Feng, a relieved smile spread across Xiao Wenyuan’s face. "My boy, I knew I wasn’t mistaken about you! I was right all along!"
A joyful smile bloomed on Xiao Yufei’s face as she looked at Ye Feng. "Ye Feng," she cried out.
She stumbled over to him and threw her arms around him, finally letting go of all her pent-up fear and frustration as she burst into tears.
Ye Feng gently patted her shoulder and comforted her in a soft voice, "Yufei, don’t worry. I’m here now. No one can hurt you."
As he spoke, a murderous intent filled the air.
Sun Shikang felt a chill as if a bucket of ice water had been dumped over him, and every hair on his body stood on end.
He stared at Ye Feng in disbelief. "Mr. Ye! You... aren’t you engaged to Wang Luyao? And didn’t Xiao Yufei already break her engagement with you? You two have nothing to do with each other anymore, right?"
A single sentence from Ye Feng plunged Sun Shikang into an icy abyss.
