Chapter 134: Chapter 134: Tonight, I’m Going Big
"You’re from the Martial Arts Association?" Cui Biao’s pupils constricted.
Cao Kun let out a dry laugh. "Did you really think you could just swallow our Jiangcheng Martial Arts Association branch without any consequences?"
"Did you really think our Association’s Jia Jingang just died for nothing? You’re dreaming!"
"Today, I’m going to settle every last score with you."
Cui Biao gritted his teeth. "So, you’re Cao Kun. Even Jia Hai is dead, yet you still dare to come here and act so arrogantly. You must have a death wish!"
His eyes bloodshot, he yelled, "Brothers, call the Young Pavilion Master! Tell him the Martial Arts Association is here to push us around!"
The man next to him finally snapped out of it, fumbling for his phone and making the call with trembling hands.
Far from stopping them, Cao Kun just burst into wild laughter. "Go on, make the call! I’d love to see just how important this Young Pavilion Master of yours really is. Today, I’m going to properly size him up! Haha..."
...
On the road, Ye Feng was driving a Hummer SUV toward the Xiao family estate when his phone began to ring insistently. He saw it was Lan Yazhi and quickly answered.
Before he could even speak, he heard Lan Yazhi’s sobs. "Ye Feng, something terrible has happened! It’s happened again! Yufei... she was taken away by Lin Hu of the Lin family! He said he’s taking her to the Jiangcheng Martial Arts Association, that someone there has... taken an interest in her. Please, you have to go save Yufei! Please..."
Ye Feng’s expression turned glacial. "Aunty, I’m heading over now," he said in an icy tone. "Don’t worry. As long as I’m here, nothing will happen to Yufei."
He hung up, wrenched the wheel, and sped toward the Jiangcheng Martial Arts Association.
Just then, his phone rang again. Ye Feng answered immediately. The weak voice of Liu Gang, the head of security for Angel’s Apparel, came through the speaker.
"Brother Feng, Sun Qing from the Sun family stormed into Angel’s Apparel with a group of people! They beat us all, leaving everyone seriously injured. She dragged President Wang into a car and took off. The people with her were wearing Martial Arts Association uniforms. It must be the Association making its move."
"You have to hurry and save President Wang! She’s in grave danger!"
Ye Feng’s face turned livid, and a bone-chilling killing intent instantly filled the car. ’The Lin family... the Sun family... It seems they still haven’t learned their lesson. I’ve been far too merciful.’
He hung up, but at that exact moment, his phone began to ring again, even more urgently this time.
Ye Feng snatched up the phone and answered. A trembling voice came from the other end. "Young Pavilion Master, it’s a disaster! The Martial Arts Association stormed the Jiangcheng Dragon King Pavilion! They’re cutting everyone down, and they’ve got Squad Leader Cui pinned to the floor!"
"They said... they’re coming for you today, too!"
Ye Feng laughed, his fury reaching its peak. "They’re coming for me, too? Excellent. I’m on my way. Tell those Martial Arts Association bastards to wash their necks. I don’t want them to dirty my blade!"
He hung up and immediately made another call. The moment it connected, he said in a frigid voice, "Ah Dao, get to the Jiangcheng Martial Arts Association. Now. Tonight, we’re going to make a statement."
Ye Feng hung up and slammed his foot on the accelerator. The Hummer shot forward like an arrow released from a bow, roaring toward the Jiangcheng Martial Arts Association.
Nangong Xue was pinned to her seat by the acceleration, finding it hard to breathe. She looked at Ye Feng’s livid expression and said, her voice trembling slightly,
"Ye Feng, the Martial Arts Association is clearly prepared for this. You should call Mayor Yuan and ask him to send someone to mediate."
But Ye Feng shook his head, a chilling smile on his lips. "Ask Uncle Yuan to go? No, no, no. If he gets involved, I won’t be able to cut loose."
Nangong Xue said urgently, "Ye Feng, the Martial Arts Association is extremely powerful! You can’t take them on by yourself!"
"Heh," Ye Feng chuckled. "You’re about to find out whether I can or not."
...
「Jiangcheng Martial Arts Association.」
By the entrance, a dozen or so disciples of the Martial Arts Association were lounging around, chatting.
"Heh, a little punk like Cui Biao thinks he can mess with our Martial Arts Association? He’s not worthy."
"Yeah, and he wanted to plant the Dragon King Pavilion’s banner over our gate. In his dreams."
"I hear the only reason the Dragon King Pavilion is acting so cocky is because they’ve got some ’Young Pavilion Master’ or something."
"Young Pavilion Master? Heh. With the lineup we’ve got here today, forget some Young Pavilion Master. Even if the freaking emperor of heaven showed up, he’d be useless!"
"Exactly. Nobody disrespects our Martial Arts Association. Anyone who tries is a dead man!"
The men were in the middle of their animated discussion when a Hummer SUV came roaring toward them. It reached the parking lot but showed no sign of stopping, instead barreling straight for the entrance.
A heavyset disciple saw the approaching vehicle and roared, "Who the fuck has balls of steel, trying to joyride at the Martial Arts Association’s gate? Stop the goddamn car right now, or I swear to God I’ll cripple every last one of you!"
But before he could finish his threat, the Hummer was on top of him. The heavyset man was sent flying, crashing hard onto the pavement. Blood poured from his mouth and nose, and a moment later, he went still.
Seeing this, the others were scared stiff. ’Who is this? Who has such a death wish?’
In the instant they were frozen in shock, the Hummer plowed into them. All dozen or so of them were sent flying, bodies scattering across the ground like fallen leaves as blood sprayed through the air.
Those on the ground shrieked in agony, "Murder! He’s a murderer! Report this! Report this to the higher-ups, now!"
One of them shakily pulled out a phone to make a call.
The Hummer didn’t slow down, ramming straight into a pillar of the main gatehouse. The pillar shattered, and the entire structure teetered for a moment before collapsing with a tremendous CRASH, kicking up a cloud of dust and flying debris.
But the vehicle still didn’t stop. It continued down the path inside the Association’s compound, roaring toward the main hall in the very back.
Several disciples tried to intercept it, only to be run down and sent flying. A chorus of agonized screams erupted.
...
「The Main Hall.」
Cao Kun was sitting on Cui Biao’s head, casually smoking a cigarette.
He grinned. "Chen the Leper, didn’t that guy of yours say Ye Feng wanted us to wash our necks? Well, we’ve washed them. So where is he? How come he hasn’t shown up?"
An old, robed man beside him burst out laughing.
"President, I bet that bastard Ye Feng heard about the commotion and got so scared his gallbladder burst. He’s probably hiding in some godforsaken hole by now!"
"Him, dare to show up? Heh, not a chance. I’ll bet you right now, if he actually comes today, I’ll lick every speck of dust off this floor!"
Cui Biao’s eyes were bloodshot. "Impossible! Our Young Pavilion Master is a man of his word, a man who stands tall. If he said he’d come, he’ll be here! You just wait!"
Cao Kun patted Cui Biao’s cheek. "You certainly have a lot of faith in him," he said with a smirk. "I, however, do not."
With that, he turned to look at Xiao Yufei and Wang Luyao, whose hands were bound behind their backs. A wicked smile spread across his face.
"I was hoping to put on a grand performance for Ye Feng. But since he’s a no-show, I suppose I’ll just have to begin my act without an audience!"
He then rose to his feet and started walking toward the two young women.
