Chapter 158: Chapter 158: Since You Don’t Want Your Paws, I’ll Sprain Them
But before his hand could touch Su Youning, a figure suddenly appeared before him, grabbed his right hand, and twisted it back.
With a sickening CRACK, the tattooed man’s right hand was snapped in two.
A calm voice followed. "Since you don’t seem to want this paw anymore, I’ll break it for you."
Ye Feng had made his move.
The tattooed man let out a bloodcurdling scream and staggered backward. He looked up at Ye Feng, his eyes red with fury. "What fucking hick from the mountains are you? You dare touch me? You’re dead today! Fucking dead!"
Then he roared at his men behind him, "Get him! Cripple him!"
The thugs behind him shouted in agreement, drew their daggers, and charged at Ye Feng.
From behind him, Su Youning cried out anxiously, "Be careful!"
Her voice was like pearls dropping onto a jade plate—so crisp and clear it was a pleasure to hear.
Ye Feng turned to look at Su Youning and said calmly, "Don’t worry. Trash like this can’t hurt me."
He had barely finished speaking when the tattooed man beside them snarled, "Can’t hurt you? Who the fuck are you trying to kid? If I don’t chop you into a dozen pieces today, I’ll take your last name! Get him! Get him!"
Just as the thugs reached Ye Feng, raising their daggers to strike, a towering figure charged in, grabbed them by the scruff of their necks, and simply tossed them outside.
THUD, THUD...
"Oof! Agh!"
In the blink of an eye, all six thugs had been thrown out. They landed in a heap like a pile of dropped dumplings, screaming and struggling on the ground, but not a single one could get back up.
The tattooed man looked over and saw a burly man, well over two meters tall, standing protectively in front of Ye Feng.
It was Ah Dao.
Ah Dao looked at the men with displeasure. "I won’t stand by and let you bully my brother."
The tattooed man jumped in fright when he saw Ah Dao in action. ’Holy shit, he’s that strong?’
But he quickly recovered. He pointed a trembling finger at Ah Dao and snarled, "Kid, you think you can act all high and mighty just because you know a few shoddy moves? Dream on! You just wait! You hear me? Just you wait!"
With that, he staggered away.
Ye Feng turned his head, smiled at Su Youning, and said, "It’s alright now. They’ve all been run off."
Su Youning nodded quickly, her large eyes fluttering as if they could speak on their own.
A single glance from her was enough to stun Ye Feng.
Just then, Su Feng rushed over, glared at Ye Feng, and shouted, "Alright? You wish! You’ve started something big! You’ve brought huge trouble down on us!
Do you have any idea who that man, Scorpion, works for? I’ll tell you! He works for Master Duan Liu, Duan Peng—the underground emperor of Nanjun! Not only is he a powerful martial artist, but he has over a thousand men under his command! He’s the kind of man who can make all of Nanjun tremble just by stomping his foot, and you’re telling me it’s alright?"
Su Youning gently pushed Su Feng and cried out, "Sister Feng, he helped us get rid of those bad men! Please don’t yell at him!"
Su Feng glared at Su Youning, absolutely livid. "You idiot! You think he was helping us? He was hurting us!
Scorpion took a beating, so he’s definitely gone to get reinforcements from Master Duan Liu. His men will be here any minute! What are we going to do then, huh? What are we going to do? You’ve dragged us all into a huge mess, don’t you get it?"
Su Youning grew anxious as well. "Oh no, what are we going to do?"
Ye Feng looked at Su Youning and gave a faint smile. "Don’t worry. It doesn’t matter who he brings. They’ll all end up on their knees."
Su Feng instantly blew her top. She glared at Ye Feng and roared, "I already told you, Master Duan Liu has over a thousand men! What makes you think you can bring them to their knees? Just the two of you? Even if your bodies were forged from iron, how many nails could they make?
You might not have any other skills, but your ability to brag is second to none!"
Ye Feng ignored her, simply taking out his phone and sending a text message.
Su Feng ground her teeth as she watched him. "Go on, keep up the act. Let’s see how long you can keep it up. I’m not sticking around for this!"
With that, she went to pull Su Youning away. "Ningning, Duan Meng’s men will be here any second! It’s too dangerous here, we have to go now!"
Su Youning looked at Su Feng. "Sister Feng, he helped us. It wouldn’t be right to just leave him here!"
Su Feng was exasperated. "My dear, foolish sister, what good would it do for you to stay? Can you help him fight? He’s the one who started this mess, so he should be the one to face the consequences. Let’s go, now."
But Su Youning hesitated. "It’s just not right... It’s not right!"
"Argh, are you trying to be the death of me? Let’s go!" Without another word, Su Feng grabbed Su Youning and started running for the door.
But they had barely taken a few steps when the roar of engines echoed from the entrance. Su Feng looked up to see a dozen black vans screech to a halt. Men poured out, lining up on both sides of the entrance.
They were all dressed in identical black suits with buzz cuts, and each man held a machete. The blades glinted with a cold light, and a palpable, immense killing intent soared into the air.
Just then, a Lamborghini Aventador pulled up and stopped smoothly. A man in a suit hurried over, opened the door, and respectfully shielded the top of the doorframe with his hand as another man slowly stepped out.
The man was about fifty years old, bald, with a face full of brutish muscle and eyes that glinted with a cold, sinister light.
His mere presence was enough to fill the air with a chilling killing intent.
Seeing the bald man, Su Feng’s voice trembled as she cried out:
"Master Duan Liu... Master Duan Liu is here! We can’t escape now, we really can’t escape!"
Before she even finished speaking, her face had turned ashen.
By now, Duan Peng had entered the hall. He swept an imperious gaze over the crowd, and nearly everyone immediately bowed their heads, not daring to meet his eyes.
The tattooed man scurried over, pointed at Ye Feng and Ah Dao, and said through gritted teeth, "Master Liu, it was them. They’re the ones who attacked me."
Duan Peng turned to the tattooed man and rebuked him coldly, "Getting beaten up like this on your own turf. Are you not ashamed?"
The tattooed man lowered his head in shame.
Duan Peng turned back to Ye Feng and Ah Dao and sighed. "You must be new to Nanjun. It seems you don’t know the name Duan Peng."
Ye Feng’s next words nearly made everyone collapse to the floor.
Ye Feng looked at Duan Peng with a faint smile. "Duan Peng? Who gives a shit?"
Everyone stared at Ye Feng, unable to believe their ears.
’How dare he speak to Duan Peng like that?’
Duan Peng was so furious he began to laugh. "It seems my methods have been too gentle these past few years. Everyone thinks I, Duan Peng, am easy to bully. They really think I’m a pushover! What a shame for you that I’m not. Today, I’ll show you exactly who I am!"
With that, he began to advance on Ye Feng.
