Chapter 247: Chapter 247: Let Me See What You’ve Got

The man in the lead was tall and bald, his face a mask of cruel flesh. A tattoo of a glaring Fierce Tiger on his neck added to his ferocious and terrifying aura.

With a cigar dangling from his mouth, he held his head high and scanned the scene, an aura of unparalleled arrogance instantly filling the room.

The emperor of the Imperial Capital’s underworld, Ma Hui, Master Qi, had arrived!

When the men on the floor saw Master Qi, it was as if they were clutching at their last hope. They screamed:

"Master Qi, we got beaten up! You have to get justice for us!"

Ma Hui swept his gaze over them and curled his lip. "You get beaten this badly on your own turf, and you still have the nerve to complain?"

Everyone lowered their heads in shame.

Just then, Wei Laopao came over. He glared at Ma Hui and said through gritted teeth:

"Master Qi, it’s not that the boys are useless. This motherfucker is actually pretty damn skilled. He made one move and wasted all our guys."

Ma Hui stared at Ye Feng’s back, his eyes narrowing slightly.

’Daring to cause trouble on my turf? This motherfucker’s got some nerve. I’d like to see for myself what tricks you’ve got up your sleeve!’

He then waved to two burly men behind him and ordered nonchalantly:

"Go over there and castrate him for me."

He said it as casually as if ordering a chicken to be slaughtered, but the chill in his voice made everyone’s hair stand on end. 𝘧𝓇ℯℴ𝓂

The two burly men grunted in assent, raised their machetes, and charged toward Ye Feng.

Wei Laopao stared at Ye Feng and sneered, "Do you know who these two are? Let me tell you, they’re Master Qi’s two top enforcers. Each of them has the power of a Tier One Martial Emperor. You can die without regret, knowing you fell at their hands.

"This is what you get for daring to cause trouble on Master Qi’s turf..."

The words had barely left his mouth when the two men reached Ye Feng’s back. They swung their machetes high and brought them crashing down on him.

But what happened next made Wei Laopao’s pupils shrink to pinpricks.

Before their machetes could even touch Ye Feng, he spun around abruptly and lashed out, delivering a vicious backhand slap to each man.

With two explosive CRACKS, the men let out blood-curdling screams and were sent flying straight out the window.

Wei Laopao’s eyes nearly popped out of his head. ’Who were those two burly men? They were Master Qi’s most powerful enforcers, existences at the Martial Emperor rank! And yet, in front of Ye Feng, they were swatted away like a couple of stray dogs. How... how is this possible?’

Ma Hui’s expression turned cold. He stared at Ye Feng and said in an icy voice:

"Not bad, kid. You’ve really got some skills. In that case, let me test you myself!"

With that, he shrugged off his jacket, snatched up a machete, and prepared to lunge at Ye Feng. But at that exact moment, an icy voice rang out from the entrance:

"You dare touch him."

As the words echoed, a square-faced, burly man strode in with his hands clasped behind his back.

Ma Hui, his face a mask of arrogance, flew into a rage upon hearing someone so brazenly challenge him. He spun around, glared at the newcomer, and roared:

"Who the fuck do you think you are? What right do you have to run your mouth in front of me..."

He was only halfway through his sentence when he finally recognized the man. In the next instant, the color drained from his face. Like a capon with its neck being squeezed, he was suddenly choked into silence.

It took him a long moment to snap out of it. He stumbled over to the newcomer and forced a smile.

"Squad Leader Ouyang, I was blind not to recognize you. Please forgive my offensive words just now!"

The newcomer was none other than Ouyang Nan, Leader of the Head Squad of the Imperial Capital’s Dragon King Pavilion.

In front of others, Ma Hui could afford to be arrogant, but before Ouyang Nan, he could only kneel.

Because he, Ma Hui, was merely an underling of the Dragon King Pavilion. Any prominent figure from the Pavilion had the authority to order him around like a dog, to say nothing of the Dragon King Pavilion’s leader, Ouyang Nan.

The thought of how disrespectfully he had just spoken made Ma Hui break out in a cold sweat.

He was inwardly stunned. ’Why would such a titan show up in my humble little temple?’

But he soon found out why.

Ouyang Nan didn’t spare him a single glance. He walked straight up to Ye Feng, bowed deeply, and said respectfully:

"Ouyang Nan, Leader of the Head Squad of the Dragon King Pavilion, greets the Young Pavilion Master!"

Young Pavilion Master?

’This man is the Young Pavilion Master of the Dragon King Pavilion?’

BOOM. Ma Hui felt as if he’d been struck by lightning. He froze on the spot, utterly dumbfounded.

He never would have imagined that this ordinary-looking young man was actually the Young Pavilion Master of the Dragon King Pavilion!

Who was the Young Pavilion Master? He was the true powerhouse of the Dragon King Pavilion! A single word from him could decide Ma Hui’s life or death—he could even decide the fate of everyone in the Pavilion!

’And I just dared to order my men to kill him... This... isn’t this like the God of Longevity swallowing poison? I must be tired of living!’

Cold sweat streamed down Ma Hui’s face, which had turned deathly pale. He couldn’t take it anymore. Staggering up to Ye Feng, he dropped to his knees with a THUD and shrieked:

"Young Pavilion Master, it was I, Ma Hui, who was blind and failed to recognize you! My crime deserves ten thousand deaths! I’ll kowtow to you in apology!"

He immediately began slamming his head against the floor. THUD! THUD! THUD! His forehead split open and blood poured out, but Ma Hui didn’t dare to stop.

Seeing this, Wei Laopao was scared out of his wits. ’Heavens, I actually offended the Young Pavilion Master of the Dragon King Pavilion! I really must have a death wish!’

He quickly knelt behind Ma Hui and began kowtowing as well.

When the goons behind them saw this, none of them could remain standing. With a series of THUDS, they all dropped to their knees in terror.

Just then, Ouyang Nan looked at Ye Feng and said in an icy voice:

"Young Pavilion Master, since these blind fools have offended you, we might as well just get rid of all of them."

Ma Hui and his men were so terrified their hearts seized up. ’It’s over! We’re completely screwed!’

But just then, Ye Feng waved his hand dismissively. He pointed to a man in black on the floor, whom he had knocked unconscious, then turned to Wei Laopao and asked calmly:

"Did you order him to assassinate Feng Qingwu, the Chairman of the Chinese Medicine Association?"

Wei Laopao glanced at the man in black and instantly understood why Ye Feng was here. His face fell, and he quickly bowed his head.

Ye Feng understood at once. He turned to Ma Hui and asked another question:

"You were the one who arranged this, weren’t you?"

"No!" Seeing the unconcealed killing intent in Ye Feng’s eyes, the hairs on Ma Hui’s arms stood on end. He yelled frantically:

"Young Pavilion Master, I knew absolutely nothing about this!"

He then spun around, delivered a vicious slap across Wei Laopao’s face, and roared furiously:

"Speak! Who ordered you to kill Chairman Feng? Dare to lie, and I’ll fucking flay you alive, piece by piece!"

Staring at Ma Hui’s bloodshot eyes, Wei Laopao could no longer hold out and confessed the truth.
