Chapter 253: Manifestation of Inner Strength
Chapter 253: Chapter 253: Manifestation of Inner Strength
But just as they reached the Martial Arts Association’s entrance, a dark figure shot out from within like a tank, plowing straight into the crowd.
Ma Hui watched, wide-eyed, as his men were sent flying one after another, as if hit by a high-speed train. They rained down like dumplings, slamming hard onto the ground. Within a few breaths, every single one of them had been knocked down, and no one was left standing.
Ma Hui’s eyes turned red. "Fuck! You really think I’m a pushover? Well, I’m not!"
With that, he gripped his machete and charged at the newcomer.
But before he could even reach him, the man sent him flying with a single kick. He crashed heavily to the ground, coughing up mouthfuls of blood.
The man then looked down at Ma Hui and said coldly, "A bunch of ants like you think you can cause trouble at the Martial Arts Association? You’re courting death!"
Ma Hui looked up and, in the dim light, finally got a clear look at the man. In the next instant, he cried out in shock, "Elder Lei... Lei Tong."
His expression changed drastically in an instant.
Lei Tong, one of the eight elders of the Martial Arts Association, had a cultivation at Tier Six of the Martial Emperor realm. He was considered a top expert within the entire Association.
Just moments ago, after taking down those guards, his confidence had soared to an all-time high. He thought he could lead his men on a rampage. But he hadn’t even made it through the Martial Arts Association’s main gate before being slammed to the ground and thoroughly humbled.
A wry grin split his lips. ’Looks like I really got ahead of myself today!’
At that moment, Lei Tong walked up to Ma Hui, looked down at him, and spoke in a cold voice, "You dare cause trouble at the gates of the Martial Arts Association. Since you’re looking for death, I’ll grant your wish."
With that, he raised his right palm and brought it down fiercely toward Ma Hui’s head.
Ma Hui gave a helpless, bitter smile. ’It’s over. It’s really over for me today.’
But just as he prepared to go have a chat with King Yama, a figure appeared like a flash of lightning. A right fist shot up, meeting Lei Tong’s right palm directly.
BOOM! Ma Hui watched as Lei Tong grunted, staggered backward, and his right arm hung limp like a noodle, clearly crippled.
A figure now stood in front of Ma Hui. He looked at Lei Tong opposite him and said calmly, "You want to kill someone? I don’t think so."
Ma Hui looked up at the newcomer, and his eyes lit up. He struggled to his feet and cried out excitedly, "Ma Hui greets Squad Leader Ouyang!"
The newcomer was none other than Ouyang Nan.
Lei Tong looked up at Ouyang Nan, his pupils constricting. "Ouyang Nan, what do you think you’re doing? Are you also here to cause trouble at the Martial Arts Association’s gate?"
Ouyang Nan looked at Lei Tong and replied calmly, "I’m not just here to cause trouble at the gate today. I’m here to flatten your entire Martial Arts Association."
With that, he waved his hand and roared, "Brothers, charge with me! Flatten the Martial Arts Association!"
He then took the lead, rushing toward the Martial Arts Association.
"Charge!" The members of the Dragon King Pavilion behind him followed Ouyang Nan, storming toward the Martial Arts Association.
"Insolent!" Lei Tong got up from the ground and led the members of the Martial Arts Association in a charge. But as soon as they reached Ouyang Nan, they were sent flying backward one by one, crashing to the ground and spitting up blood.
Just then, Ma Hui rushed over from behind. He looked at Lei Tong with a sneer. "Do you have any idea what Squad Leader Ouyang’s cultivation level is? Let me tell you, he’s a Tier One Martial God! What right does a Tier Six Martial Emperor ant like you have to act so arrogant in front of him?"
"Lei Tong, you had a great time beating me up just now, didn’t you? Why don’t you try being arrogant again for me? Get up! Get up! Can’t get up, can you? Well, now it’s my turn. You can just stay right there, you bastard!"
With that, he swung his machete down at Lei Tong.
Lei Tong wanted to dodge, but he was already severely injured by Ouyang Nan and couldn’t move at all. He could only watch as Ma Hui’s machete chopped down toward his head.
Lei Tong was about to explode with rage.
He would have accepted death at Ouyang Nan’s hands, but to be killed by Ma Hui... the frustration was maddening.
Ma Hui, on the other hand, was ecstatic. ’Today, I’m personally killing an elder-level figure from the Martial Arts Association! This is something I can brag about for the rest of my life.’
In that moment, he felt on top of the world. He felt like he had reached the peak of his life, the ultimate climax.
But just as his machete was about to strike Lei Tong’s head, a flash of white light shot past. With a loud crack, the machete was knocked right out of his hand. The force sent Ma Hui staggering backward until he fell on his ass.
His moment of glory completely ruined, Ma Hui flew into a rage. He whirled around to face the newcomer and started cursing, "Which fucking bastard are you?! You dare to attack me? Believe it or not, I’ll chop you to death—"
But in the next moment, he finally got a clear look at the man, and the words died in his throat as if he’d been choked.
A middle-aged man stood there, staring at him coldly.
The man was tall with a long, horse-like face. His eyes glinted with a sinister light, and his two eyebrows met in the middle, marking him as a narrow-minded person at a glance.
He wore a set of cyan training clothes. On the left side of his chest were two large, blood-red words: Martial Association!
The newcomer was none other than the president of the Martial Arts Association, Jiang Sheng.
Seeing Jiang Sheng, Ma Hui shrank back, completely silenced.
’He’s a veteran Martial God-level existence. If I say one wrong word, the guy could probably kill me with a fart.’
’It’s a classic case of bloodline suppression!’
He looked pleadingly at Ouyang Nan, muttering to himself, ’Squad Leader Ouyang, my part is done. The rest is up to you.’
At this point, Jiang Sheng looked at Ouyang Nan, his gaze icy. "Ouyang Nan, you dare to cause trouble at the Martial Arts Association? You’ve grown some guts!"
Ouyang Nan looked back at Jiang Sheng and chuckled. "Jiang Sheng, ever since the Elder Pavilion Master went into seclusion, your Martial Arts Association has been shitting and pissing on the neck of my Dragon King Pavilion. I’ve tolerated you for years, but I’m not going to tolerate it anymore. Today, the Dragon King Pavilion is going to stand up."
Jiang Sheng looked at Ouyang Nan and laughed. "Ouyang Nan, out of pity, my Martial Arts Association has always let you breathe, allowing you to eke out a miserable existence. But not only do you not appreciate our kindness, you even want to bite back.
"What did you say? You want to stand up? Then today, I’ll break your back and make sure you can never stand up for the rest of your life.
"Since your Dragon King Pavilion is so disobedient, I’ll just wipe it out today."
Ouyang Nan met Jiang Sheng’s gaze and chuckled. "You want to wipe out my Dragon King Pavilion? Do you really think you have the ability?"
Jiang Sheng also laughed. "Whether I can wipe out the Dragon King Pavilion or not, you’re about to find out."
In the next instant, he slowly raised his right palm. Ma Hui, watching from behind, saw in horror that a giant palm print had materialized in the air. A terrifying pressure instantly spread out and enveloped him. He suddenly felt as if a giant boulder was pressing on his chest, making it difficult to even breathe.
"Shaping Inner Strength! This is the shaping of Inner Strength!" Ma Hui couldn’t help but cry out in alarm. The next moment, his face turned deathly pale.
’He really is a big shot at the Martial God level. A move like this is truly extraordinary.’
’Can Ouyang Nan... can he take this?’
