Ultimate Master in the City
Chapter 338: Death Before Dishonor
Chapter 338: Chapter 338: Death Before Dishonor
But just then, a flash of sword light flickered. A muffled squelch was heard, immediately followed by the gray-robed elder’s blood-curdling scream.
Xia Chuan looked up to see a clean hole appear on the gray-robed elder’s forehead, from which blood gushed wildly. The elder’s body froze. He stared blankly into the distance, his eyes filled with utter disbelief.
Just then, a calm voice called out from the distance, "You want to bully my fiancée? I don’t think I’ll allow that."
Xia Xingyu turned her head toward the newcomer. The next moment, her eyes lit up as she cried, "Ye Feng!"
The newcomer was, indeed, Ye Feng.
The gray-robed elder stared at Ye Feng, his eyes full of disbelief. He struggled to raise a hand, as if to say something, but in the next instant, he collapsed to the ground with a thud. After a brief convulsion, he moved no more.
At this, Xia Chuan looked at Ye Feng, his eyes suddenly lighting up. "So, you’re Ye Feng?"
Ye Feng nodded slightly.
But just then, Xia Xingyu, who was standing nearby, curled her lip in disgust and spat, "Pervert!"
"What the fuck!" Ye Feng couldn’t help but curse. But just then, Yang Hai yelled urgently from behind him, "Marshal, Miss Ouyang is not going to make it!"
Ye Feng’s expression changed in an instant. In a flash, he was by Ouyang Qiu’s side, pulling her into his arms.
Blood trickled endlessly from the corners of Ouyang Qiu’s lips. Her breath was as faint as a silk thread, and her face was as pale as a sheet of paper.
A military medic nearby looked at Ye Feng and shook his head.
"Her internal organs are severely damaged. Her life force is gone. She’s not going to make it."
"Shut your mouth!" Ye Feng snapped. He then looked at Ouyang Qiu and declared resolutely, "Fifth Martial Sister, don’t worry. As long as I’m here, you will be perfectly fine!"
But Ouyang Qiu shook her head weakly. She looked at Ye Feng and said with great difficulty, "Xiaofeng, the doctor is right. I’m... I’m really not going to make it."
She struggled to raise her hand but lacked the strength. Ye Feng quickly grabbed it and placed it on his own cheek.
Ouyang Qiu caressed Ye Feng’s face, her eyes filled with sorrow and reluctance. "Xiaofeng, I wanted to come and protect you... but I can’t do that anymore. You have to take good care of yourself from now on! I... I really can’t bear to leave you."
Seeing this display of deep affection between them, Xia Yanran, who stood behind, was so moved the rims of her eyes turned red.
Ye Feng held Ouyang Qiu and said urgently, "Sister Ouyang, don’t talk. Save your strength. I’m going to save you right now..."
He was about to lift Ouyang Qiu, but she shook her head with difficulty. "Don’t... don’t bother. Can you just let me finish what I have to say?"
Ouyang Qiu looked at Ye Feng, her eyes filled with deep affection. She hesitated for a moment, then mustered all her remaining strength to say:
"Xiaofeng... my greatest wish has always been to be your wife. For my final wish... can you grant it? Be... be with me, just once."
As she spoke, a rare blush appeared on her face.
Behind them, Xia Yanran practically fell over backward.
’To be thinking about *that* at a time like this... just how desperate is she?’
’And with her martial brother, no less? With a dying person? Ugh, isn’t that just too... much?’
She looked at Ye Feng, thinking that there was no way he would ever do something so... unnatural.
But to her astonishment, Ye Feng actually nodded and agreed immediately. "Sister Ouyang, even if you hadn’t said it, I was thinking the same thing."
With that, he scooped Ouyang Qiu up into his arms and turned toward a nearby room.
This time, even Xia Xingyu thought Ye Feng’s actions were beyond the pale. She staggered, nearly collapsing.
’In her mind, Ye Feng was no longer just a pervert; he was absolute scum.’
At this, Xia Yanran came to her senses. She ran to block Ye Feng’s path and cried out, "Ye Feng, you can’t do that with a corpse! You’ll ruin your life...!"
"Get the hell out of my way!" Ye Feng glared fiercely at Xia Yanran, and an immense killing intent instantly filled the air.
Enveloped by that killing intent, Xia Yanran was so terrified the hairs on her arms stood on end. She involuntarily dodged to the side, watching helplessly as Ye Feng carried Ouyang Qiu toward the nearby building.
Without turning his head, Ye Feng ordered, "Guard the door for me. No one is to enter without my permission. The penalty is death!"
Xia Yanran’s eyes nearly popped out of their sockets. ’What? You’re going to have your fun in there, and you want me to stand guard for you? You’re a deviant, a complete deviant! Unnatural! Utterly unnatural!’
The door closed. Ye Feng placed the unconscious Ouyang Qiu on a bed against the wall. He removed her silken clothes, then shed his own and pressed his body down onto hers.
...
Standing at the door, Xia Yanran listened to the indescribable sounds coming from the room, her pretty face turning beet red.
Although she was inexperienced herself, she had seen enough explicit videos to know exactly what was happening inside.
Xia Yanran gritted her teeth. ’Ye Feng is actually doing it with a corpse... You really are something else! So unnatural!’
But as she listened to the sounds from within, Xia Yanran suddenly felt a strange restlessness throughout her body.
...
「Half an hour later.」
Ouyang Qiu’s hand shot up and grabbed Ye Feng’s arm, her nails digging directly into his flesh.
Ye Feng’s eyes lit up. "Sister Ouyang, you’re awake? This is great!"
He started to get up, but Ouyang Qiu held his arm in a death grip and wouldn’t let go.
Ye Feng was speechless.
「An hour later.」
A loud, clear cry like that of a phoenix echoed from the room, and then everything fell silent.
Then, Ye Feng said with a laugh, "Sister Ouyang, let me see!"
"No..." came Ouyang Qiu’s shy voice.
Ye Feng: "Just a peek."
...
Outside the door, Xia Yanran’s imagination instantly ran wild. Her pretty face turned beet red again as she spoke through gritted teeth:
"The first time he meets my sister, he wants to see her ass. Now he wants to see Sister Ouyang’s... you-know-where. How shameless can you be?"
Just then, someone ran over, looked at Xia Xingyu, and shouted in a panic, "Your Majesty! A huge force from the Twelve-Nation Alliance has gathered at Lion’s Peak Pass and is preparing to attack—"
Before the person could finish, the sound of cannons roared from outside, shaking the very heavens. A violent explosion rocked Lion’s Peak Pass. Dust and smoke filled the air as boulders were sent flying. Several dozen feet were sheared clean off Lion’s Peak itself, and the city gates were blasted into oblivion. The tens of thousands of soldiers defending the pass were vaporized, leaving not even bones behind.
Immediately after, heaven-shaking battle cries rose from beyond the pass as densely packed waves of allied soldiers charged forward.
Xia Yanran took one look and roared in fury, "Soldiers, hold the line! Hold the line—!"
Her voice trailed off into silence.
She turned to Xia Xingyu, her voice trembling as she cried, "Sister, there are too many of them! I don’t think we can hold them!"
Looking at the dense, endless sea of enemies, she saw there had to be at least ten million of them. Her own side, even after scraping together every last soldier, numbered only two million. ’One against five... How can we possibly fight this? How?’
Xia Xingyu stared at the allied forces opposite them, a look of grim resolve on her face. "Better to die in glory than live in shame. The final moment has come!"
With that, she raised her longsword and shouted, "Soldiers! The time has come to serve our country! Charge with me!"
But just then, Xia Chuan raised a hand to stop Xia Xingyu. He said with a gentle smile, "Granddaughter, don’t panic."
Xia Xingyu looked at Xia Chuan, her eyes suddenly brightening. "Grandpa, you have another plan?"
