Ultimate Master in the City
Chapter 353: Ye Feng, You Must Be Responsible for Me
Chapter 353: Chapter 353: Ye Feng, You Must Be Responsible for Me
The moment Ye Feng finished speaking, Li Zhe let out a cold, sinister laugh.
"You piece of trash! I have to admit, you’ve got some skills. But so what? Don’t forget, I have a massive army at my back. You think you can break through layer after layer of my defenses to kill me? Who do you think you are, Zhang Fei, Zhang Yide? You’re not him, so you don’t have what it takes!
Today, you will die here, amidst my mighty army!"
But what happened next made his eyes bulge in disbelief.
Ye Feng charged into the ranks of the coalition army like a rampaging tank. Any soldier who got near him was instantly sent flying, leaving behind a field of blood and severed limbs.
The vast coalition force couldn’t slow Ye Feng down in the slightest. Li Zhe watched, wide-eyed, as Ye Feng carved a path through them as if they weren’t there, rushing straight for him.
Li Zhe’s face paled. "Stop him! Stop him!" he shrieked.
With that, he turned to flee in a panic. But before he got far, a large hand clamped around his neck and lifted him clean off the ground.
Then, a chilling voice echoed, "Trying to run? Where do you think you’re going?"
Li Zhe craned his head around to see his captor and shrieked as if he’d seen a ghost. "Ye Feng!"
It was, indeed, Ye Feng.
Feeling Ye Feng’s chilling killing intent, Li Zhe was so terrified the hairs on his body stood on end. He quickly forced a smile and said to Ye Feng,
"Ye Feng, we have no history, no grudge between us. Please, just spare me!"
Ye Feng pointed to Xia Xingyu on the city wall and chuckled.
"You know who that is? That’s my wife!
You were going to nail my wife into a coffin with your dead brother, and you still have the gall to say we have no grudge between us?"
Li Zhe’s face went pale. "Ye Feng, I was wrong! I’ll never have any designs on her ever again! I’m willing to compensate you for my actions. Money, land—whatever you want, I can give it to you!"
Ye Feng chuckled. "Everything you just mentioned, I can take for myself. I don’t need you to give it to me. Today, the only thing I want is your head!"
Seeing the cold look in Ye Feng’s eyes, Li Zhe shrieked,
"Ye Feng, I have twenty million men here! If you dare to kill me today, they won’t let you get away with it! They’ll tear you limb from limb...!"
But before he could finish, Ye Feng’s right hand clenched. With a sickening CRUNCH of shattering bone, he snapped Li Zhe’s neck.
Li Zhe’s eyes flew wide open. He stared at Ye Feng, his face a mask of utter disbelief.
He could never have imagined that Ye Feng would actually dare to kill him.
Ye Feng stared down at him and said coldly, "I’ve killed you. Now what are you going to do about it?"
Li Zhe’s head lolled lifelessly to the side.
Ye Feng reached out, grabbed Li Zhe’s head, and with a savage yank, tore it clean from his shoulders. A fountain of blood erupted three feet into the air from the stump of his neck, drenching Ye Feng’s face and body.
Holding Li Zhe’s head aloft, Ye Feng scanned the surrounding soldiers and roared, "I killed him. Who’s going to do something about it?"
The surrounding coalition soldiers stared at the blood-soaked Ye Feng, who looked like an Asura straight from the depths of hell. Their eyes were filled with pure terror.
He’d crippled Southeast Asia’s greatest master, Lai Tuduo, and now he’d charged into a massive army and torn the head off the Prince of Yue Country. This... this was simply heaven-defying. Who here could possibly stand against him?
And when they remembered the stories of how Ye Feng had single-handedly defeated a coalition army of nearly twenty million, the soldiers on the field were scared out of their minds. None dared to even meet his gaze as they turned and fled in terror.
At that moment, the vice-commanders of the eleven nations ducked their heads and tried to slip away into the crowd.
But Ye Feng’s bone-chilling voice suddenly echoed, "You dared to defy my orders? To conspire with Li Zhe and attack Malaysia? It seems you didn’t take my words to heart. Very well. Today, I’ll make sure you remember me forever."
With that, he raised his right palm. A gigantic palm, over a hundred feet wide, instantly materialized in the sky. The next moment, it struck down like a bolt of lightning, crashing toward the vice-commanders.
With a deafening BOOM, the entire battlefield trembled. Dust and smoke billowed into the air as chunks of rock were sent flying.
When the dust settled, everyone was stunned into silence by the scene before them.
A massive crater, dozens of feet across, had appeared out of thin air on the flat ground. It was so deep its bottom couldn’t be seen. The vice-commanders, along with several hundred nearby coalition soldiers, had been smashed into the pit, vanishing completely. Only the thick, coppery smell of blood lingered in the air.
Everyone stared at Ye Feng, their eyes filled with dread. ’Is... is he even human?’
Ye Feng swept his gaze over the remaining coalition forces and spoke in a cold voice. "Listen up. Go back and deliver a message to your Kings. They are to come to Malaysia in person and submit to Her Majesty the Queen. From this day forward, your nations are vassals of Malaysia.
Remember, you have one day. By midnight tomorrow, if any King has failed to appear, I will enact a scorched-earth policy. Any nation that dares to disobey will be reduced to cinders. Now, get out of my sight!"
No one dared to spare him another glance as they scrambled away in a full-blown rout.
Seeing Ye Feng standing there alone like a god descended from the heavens, Xia Xingyu’s eyes began to sparkle.
Just then, Xia Yanran cheered and ran up to Ye Feng. He quickly backed away, a wary expression on his face. "Don’t touch me. I’m afraid of germs."
Before he could finish, Xia Yanran had already thrown herself at him, wrapping her arms around his neck and planting a loud smooch on his cheek. Then she glared at him and roared in a playfully fierce voice, "I *want* to infect you! I’ll infect you to death!"
Ye Feng was left speechless.
The surrounding soldiers erupted in laughter.
Just then, Xia Xingyu walked over. She looked at Ye Feng with a smile and said, "Ye Feng, thank you for driving back the enemy army and eliminating this threat. I am truly grateful. I would like to invite you to the palace. I want to pour you a drink myself to show my appreciation."
But Ye Feng just waved a hand dismissively. "You let me see your ass, I helped you defeat a powerful enemy," he said nonchalantly. "No need to thank me. This was all part of our deal, so there’s no need for all this."
"You...!" Xia Xingyu was fuming. ’Will you die if you don’t bring that up?’
Ignoring her completely, Ye Feng started to walk away. His indifferent voice drifted back, "Our transaction is complete. It’s time for me to go."
He, along with Meng Jiaxin and Ouyang Qiu, turned to leave.
But just then, Xia Xingyu called out urgently, "Ye Feng, wait!"
She hurried forward a few steps and blocked his path.
Ye Feng looked at her, confused. "Is there something else, Xia Xingyu?"
Xia Xingyu stared at Ye Feng and roared in anger, "Ye Feng! A moment ago, on the city wall, you held me in your arms and called me your wife! Now practically the whole world knows! After all that, you’re just going to walk away?
You saw what you saw, you shouted to the world that I’m your wife, and now you’re just going to leave?"
As she spoke, her eyes reddened. "Ye Feng, I don’t care! You have to take responsibility for me!"
Hearing this, Ye Feng was completely stunned. "Your Majesty, you’re the one who broke off our engagement. How exactly do you want me to take responsibility for you now?"
But Xia Xingyu’s next words left Ye Feng utterly dumbfounded.
