With that, she looked at the guards beside her and ordered coldly, "Open fire! Gun him down!"

The guards behind them raised their guns in unison, took aim at Kong Chao, and prepared to fire.

As the voice faded, an old man abruptly appeared before them.

The old man was dressed in a Daoist robe, his face gaunt. With every blink, an intimidating, cold glint flashed in his eyes.

His first move proved he was not someone to be trifled with.

Xia Yanran stared at the old man and asked in astonishment, "Who are you?"

Just then, Kong Chao staggered to the old man’s side and said in shame, "Master, I have disgraced you."

"Master? He’s your master?" Xia Yanran exclaimed in surprise.

Kong Chao turned to glare at Xia Yanran and said coldly, "This is my master, Daoist Wuchen! Do you have any idea what his cultivation level is? I’ll tell you—he’s a Martial Immortal of the Tier Three! You two might have a few tricks up your sleeves, but before him, you’re nothing!"

Then he turned back to Daoist Wuchen, gritting his teeth. "Master, I must ask you to act on my behalf and avenge the annihilation of my family!"

Daoist Wuchen nodded. "Rest assured, my disciple. Leave it to me."

In the next moment, his body flickered, and he was already in front of Xia Xingyu and Xia Yanran, his right palm swinging toward the two sisters.

"Get back!" Xia Yanran roared, and she and Xia Xingyu both threw punches to intercept Daoist Wuchen.

With a loud BANG, both women let out a muffled grunt. They staggered backward, blood already trickling from the corners of their mouths.

Kong Chao, standing behind them, sneered at the two women. "With your pathetic level of skill, you dare act so presumptuously before my master? You’re not worthy."

"Master, capture them for me! I’m going to make them experience a fate worse than death!"

"Fine," Daoist Wuchen agreed, lunging at the two sisters once more.

Xia Yanran and Xia Xingyu exchanged a look, a glint of desperate resolve in their eyes. They were about to risk everything in a final stand when a figure suddenly appeared before them, raising a fist to meet Daoist Wuchen’s attack!

With an earth-shattering CRACK, Kong Chao watched in astonishment as Daoist Wuchen was sent stumbling backward.

"Master!" Kong Chao rushed to support Daoist Wuchen. He then looked up and saw an old man in simple robes, holding a wine gourd, standing protectively in front of the two sisters.

The newcomer was none other than Xia Chuan.

Xia Chuan looked at Daoist Wuchen and said calmly, "You want to bully my granddaughters? I won’t allow it."

"Xia Chuan!" Kong Chao stared, his pupils constricting. "You’re still alive?"

Xia Chuan replied coldly, "How could I possibly die before I’ve taken care of scum like you?"

Daoist Wuchen gave a contemptuous smile. "You’re not dead? Then you can die today!"

Xia Chuan looked at Daoist Wuchen, his eyes filled with disdain. "Your cultivation level seems a bit lower than mine, doesn’t it? You want to kill me? You’re not worthy."

Daoist Wuchen smirked coldly. "I rarely rely on my cultivation level to kill people."

With that, he pulled out a talisman and began chanting an incantation. He then threw it forward. The talisman burst into flames in midair, and in the next instant, a giant well over ten feet tall appeared out of nowhere.

Daoist Wuchen pointed at Xia Chuan and his group and roared, "Go!"

The giant took a single step forward with its right foot, instantly appearing before Xia Chuan. It then raised a massive fist and smashed it down toward him.

Xia Chuan sneered. "Just smoke and mirrors. You can’t fool me with this!"

With that, he raised his right fist and met the giant’s incoming blow head-on.

There was a world-shaking BOOM, and Xia Chuan let out a muffled groan.

Behind him, Xia Yanran and Xia Xingyu watched in horror as Xia Chuan was sent flying. He crashed heavily to the ground and, opening his mouth, spat out a large mouthful of blood.

The two sisters couldn’t believe their eyes. Who was Xia Chuan? He was a renowned master, a Martial Immortal of the Tier Three! In all of Malaysia, he was considered one of the very best. Kong Chao sneered from behind them. "That is the Mighty God my master summoned with a talisman. Its cultivation has reached the Martial Immortal Tier Five. An ant like you at Tier Three is nothing before it. You’re dead today, for sure."

Hearing this, Xia Yanran’s and Xia Xingyu’s faces instantly turned deathly pale. ’A Martial Immortal of the Tier Five... who could possibly stand against such a master?’

The giant took another step, instantly appearing before Xia Chuan again. It raised its right fist high, preparing to bring it crashing down.

Just then, a large contingent of guards arrived. Xia Xingyu pointed at the giant and snarled through gritted teeth, "Open fire! Blast it to bits!"

Muzzle flashes erupted as a swarm of bullets rained down on the giant.

The giant’s massive hand smashed down toward Xia Chuan.

But before his laughter died down, Ye Feng came whistling down and smashed heavily onto the ground!

The impact sent up an immense cloud of dust and debris.

Kong Chao roared with laughter. "He must have splattered himself into a paste! Trying to save people with an IQ that low... what an absolute moron! Hahaha..."

"Ye Feng!" Xia Xingyu cried out, her eyes instantly turning red.

But in the next instant, Xia Yanran pointed at the cloud of dust and shouted with excitement.
