Chapter 395: Chapter 395: You Damn Pervert, I’ll Kill You!

Ye Feng turned his head and saw a middle-aged man in a green robe standing behind him, staring at him furiously.

Ye Feng released Blood Phoenix, held up his hands, and said, "What can I say? She was the one who insisted I hit her. I can’t just go against a woman’s wishes, can I?"

Finally free from Ye Feng’s grasp, Blood Phoenix rushed over to the middle-aged man and shrieked, "Dad, that bastard humiliated me in public! Kill him! If you don’t, I can’t go on living! Boohoo..."

The middle-aged man stared daggers at Ye Feng, his eyes brimming with murderous intent.

Chen Yun’Er, who was standing nearby, frowned at the middle-aged man and said,

"Sir, we’re not the ones at fault here. Your daughter was being unreasonable..."

"Shut your mouth!" Before Chen Yun’Er could finish, the middle-aged man rudely cut her off. He glared at her and said coldly,

"He nearly tormented my daughter to death, and you’re still here making excuses? Do you take me for a fool? Let me tell you, I’m not!"

He then turned to glare at Ye Feng, gritting his teeth. "You bastard. How dare you bully my daughter? You must take me for a pushover. Well, I’m not! Today, I will destroy you!"

With that, he shot toward Ye Feng like a bolt of lightning.

From behind, Blood Phoenix snarled through gritted teeth, "Do you even know what my dad’s cultivation level is? He’s a Tier Three Martial Immortal! His skills are among the best in this entire outer region. You actually dared to bully his daughter? You must have a death wish!"

The middle-aged man had already reached Ye Feng and was swinging his fist, ready to strike, when his body suddenly froze. He stared at Ye Feng and cried out in surprise,

"You’re from the Qilin Camp?"

Ye Feng nodded calmly.

The middle-aged man’s eyes instantly lit up. He looked at Ye Feng and asked urgently, "Where is the commander of your Qilin Camp?"

"Standing right in front of you," Ye Feng replied calmly.

"You... you’re the commander of the Qilin Camp?" The man looked at Ye Feng, his eyes filled with delighted surprise.

Blood Phoenix, still in the back, hadn’t noticed the change in her father. She was still roaring furiously, "You bastard! I don’t care if you’re the commander of the Qilin Camp! Even if you were God Almighty, my dad would still cripple you today! Dad, get him! Tear him to pieces!"

But what happened next left Blood Phoenix utterly stunned.

The middle-aged man suddenly threw his arms wide and embraced Ye Feng, laughing heartily. "You’re finally here! This is wonderful! Absolutely wonderful!"

Seeing their close embrace, Blood Phoenix swayed and nearly collapsed.

’He’s into men?’

’Since when did my own father have a hobby like that?’

But what happened next made her actually collapse to the ground. The middle-aged man turned to look at Blood Phoenix and shouted excitedly,

"Phoenix, come here and meet your fiancé!"

THUD. Blood Phoenix hit the ground. It took her a long moment to process what she’d heard. She looked up and roared at the middle-aged man in fury,

"Dad, did a donkey kick you in the head?!"

The man’s expression darkened. "You wretched girl, is that any way to speak to your father?"

Ye Feng, standing behind them, started coughing violently. "Excuse me, sir, how exactly did I become her fiancé? Things have gotten a little confusing. Let’s straighten this out."

The middle-aged man looked at Ye Feng and smiled. "Allow me to introduce myself. I am Han Qiang, the City Lord of Tongtian City."

’So this is the guy I’m supposed to find!’

Ye Feng immediately felt his head throb. He’d roughed up the guy’s daughter before they’d even been properly introduced. This first impression was, to say the least...

...intense!

Just then, Han Qiang spoke with a broad smile. "A long time ago, your master and I arranged a marriage between you and my Phoenix. He told me that when you came to Tongtian City to claim the Qilin Helmet, it would be time for the two of you to wed. So, tell me, was I wrong to call you her fiancé?"

Ye Feng staggered violently, nearly face-planting on the ground. He wailed internally, ’Oh, my dear master, just how many fiancées did you line up for me? Do you think I’m some kind of breeding mule?’

Han Qiang slung an arm around Ye Feng’s shoulders and roared with laughter. "Good lad! It’s so good that you’re here. Now I finally have some peace of mind!"

He glanced around, then looked at Ye Feng with a puzzled expression. "Your master didn’t come with you?"

Ye Feng nodded, then glanced at Chen Yun’Er. "No, it’s just my senior sister and I this time."

A flicker of disappointment crossed Han Qiang’s eyes, but it vanished as quickly as it appeared. He chuckled slyly.

"But if you’re in danger, your master is sure to show up. So you being here is as good as him being here! Hehe, now I have nothing to fear..."

Ye Feng suddenly sensed a plot brewing. He looked at Han Qiang and asked, "So, Uncle Han, what kind of danger are you in, exactly?"

Han Qiang boomed with laughter. "Let’s not talk about that now! The most important thing is to get you two married. We’ll send you straight to the bridal chamber tonight, and then I’ll have them... hehe..."

Ye Feng instantly felt like he’d fallen into a trap.

But just then, Blood Phoenix spoke up from behind in a cold voice, "Dad, I’m making it clear right now: I’m calling off this engagement!"

Han Qiang whipped his head around to glare at Blood Phoenix. "You dare disobey me? I’ll cripple you!"

Blood Phoenix was speechless.

Just then, Ye Feng, who was still behind them, looked at Han Qiang and shook his head. "Uncle Han, I’m calling off this engagement, too."

Han Qiang turned back to Ye Feng, his smile returning. "The Qilin Helmet... You still want it, don’t you?"

Ye Feng was speechless.

Seeing them both at a loss, Han Qiang roared with laughter. "I know, I know. Forcing two strangers straight into the bridal chamber... it’s a lot to wrap your head around. I’ll give you some time."

"You two, go take a walk around town. Get to know each other’s backgrounds... and probe each other’s depths!"

’Probe each other’s depths?’

Ye Feng staggered again. ’This Han Qiang... what a sly old dog!’

Ultimately, Ye Feng still ended up walking down the street with Blood Phoenix.

There was no helping it; the man held all the cards.

Blood Phoenix walked ahead, speaking coldly without turning back. "Ye Feng, let me make one thing clear. You and I are from different worlds."

"Oh? What world is that? The animal kingdom?"

"You..." Blood Phoenix was about to explode with rage. She took a deep breath and said, "I’m telling you, you’re not good enough for me. Stop dreaming, you toad lusting after a swan."

Ye Feng looked at her haughty expression and smiled faintly. "How do you know I’m not good enough for you? Are you that deep?"

Hearing Ye Feng’s foul mouth, Blood Phoenix’s anger flared. She whipped around to face him, snarling through gritted teeth, "You damned pervert! I’ll kill you!"

"Oh? You’ll kill me? Are your skills really that good?" Ye Feng said with a smirk.

"You... you... you..." Blood Phoenix’s hand rested on the hilt of her longsword. She wanted nothing more than to run him through and turn him into paste, but she held back. ’I can’t beat him!’

But Ye Feng wasn’t done twisting the knife.
