Chapter 397: Chapter 397: You’re the First to Dare Take Advantage of Me
The Jade-Faced Asura chuckled. "Forget you. Even if your father were here, I could still grind him into the dirt. You want to fight me to the death? Are you even worthy?"
With that, she stomped her feet and charged forward, a long spear in hand, and smashed it down on Blood Phoenix’s longsword.
With a deafening CRASH, the longsword was sent flying from Blood Phoenix’s hands. The immense force sent her staggering backward. A sweet taste rose in her throat as she coughed up a mouthful of blood.
The Jade-Faced Asura looked at Blood Phoenix and sneered, "Do you have any idea what my cultivation level is? I’ll tell you: peak Tier Three Martial Immortal. A mere Tier One Martial Immortal ant like you wants to act so brazenly before me? You’re not qualified!
Hand over the Qilin Helmet now, and I might spare your pathetic lives. Otherwise, die!"
Blood Phoenix wiped the blood from the corner of her lips and stared at the Jade-Faced Asura, speaking word by word, "I would rather die than give the Qilin Helmet to you!"
The Jade-Faced Asura’s eyes narrowed. "Since you’re looking to die, don’t blame me for being merciless!"
With that, her body flashed, and in the next instant, she was in front of Blood Phoenix. She raised her long spear and thrust it fiercely toward Blood Phoenix’s heart.
Blood Phoenix tried to dodge, but she was already locked on by the Jade-Faced Asura’s aura and couldn’t escape. Blood Phoenix sighed inwardly. ’Looks like this is where I die.’
But at that critical moment, Ye Feng, who was behind them, flicked his right index finger. A needle as fine as an ox hair shot out like lightning and directly struck one of the Jade-Faced Asura’s acupuncture points.
The Jade-Faced Asura’s body suddenly went rigid. The spear stopped a foot from Blood Phoenix’s chest, unable to move another inch.
Blood Phoenix had already resigned herself to death, but when she saw the Jade-Faced Asura suddenly freeze, her eyes lit up and she fiercely kicked out.
The Jade-Faced Asura grunted, was sent flying backward, and crashed heavily to the ground.
Her spear flew off into the distance.
Ye Feng looked at the Jade-Faced Asura and said lazily, "If you’re going to fight, just fight. Trying to kill someone at the drop of a hat? I don’t approve."
The Jade-Faced Asura got up from the ground, stared at Ye Feng, and nodded. She chuckled. "I really did misjudge you. Very good. I’ll remember you!"
With that, she gave a cold shout, "We’re leaving!"
She then led her group away in a rush.
Blood Phoenix, behind him, gritted her teeth. "Kick them while they’re down! Brothers, kill them! I want every last one of them dead today!"
Just then, Ye Feng spoke calmly, "Save it. Even if she’s injured, you’re still no match for her."
Blood Phoenix spun around, glared at Ye Feng, and roared through gritted teeth, "Whose fucking side are you on?!"
Ye Feng looked at the Jade-Faced Asura with a frown and said, "I sense a familiar aura from her."
The Jade-Faced Asura, who had already rushed some distance away, heard Ye Feng’s words. She turned her head, gave him a sweet smile, and said, "Oh? Are you going to say you knew me five hundred years ago? Hehe, that cheesy pickup line of yours is actually kind of charming. This girl is feeling a spark, you know. Why don’t you come over and have a nice chat?"
But before her voice faded, a CREAKING sound of machinery was heard, followed immediately by a sharp whistle of something tearing through the air.
The Jade-Faced Asura turned to look and saw a giant crossbow bolt, as thick as a child’s arm, shooting toward her like lightning from not far away.
"Oh no, I stepped into a trap!" the Jade-Faced Asura shrieked, desperately trying to dodge to the side. But the crossbow bolt was incredibly fast; in the blink of an eye, it was right in front of her.
The Jade-Faced Asura wanted to dodge, but it was too late. Her pretty face instantly turned pale as paper. She closed her eyes helplessly and sighed to herself, ’This is the end for me!’
Watching from the other side, Blood Phoenix burst into laughter. "You bitch! Even the heavens don’t want you to live! Just go die—!"
But before her words could fade, a figure abruptly appeared in front of the Jade-Faced Asura. He wrapped an arm around her slender waist, took a few steps back, reached out his right hand, and directly gripped the giant crossbow bolt. The bolt instantly stopped, unable to advance another inch.
The Jade-Faced Asura opened her eyes to see Ye Feng holding her, with the giant crossbow bolt stopped right in front of her face.
A smile appeared on the Jade-Faced Asura’s face. "Big bro, you saved me! Thanks!"
Ye Feng said calmly, "You’re a life, too. How could I bear to watch you fall here?"
The next moment, Ye Feng frowned and said, "I really do sense a familiar aura on you."
"Hehe..." The Jade-Faced Asura suddenly giggled. "Big bro, you really are trying to pick me up, aren’t you? Fine. Come on, tell me, what part of me is so familiar? Is it this?"
As she spoke, she reached out and, with a ZZZIP, pulled down the zipper of her leather top. The tight undershirt within could no longer contain her pride. They POPPED out, almost hitting Ye Feng in the face.
Ye Feng was dumbfounded. ’Holy shit, she’s this bold?’
But Ye Feng never expected that the boldest part was yet to come. He saw the Jade-Faced Asura grin and say, "Or down here?"
With that, she started to unbuckle her belt.
"Ahem, ahem..." Ye Feng had never encountered such a she-wolf before. He abruptly tossed the Jade-Faced Asura to the ground and fled in disarray.
Seeing Ye Feng’s beet-red face, the Jade-Faced Asura, still behind him, doubled over with laughter.
By now, Ye Feng had caught up to Blood Phoenix. She spun around abruptly, stared at him, and gritted out:
"Doesn’t she have a ’familiar aura’? Go hit on her then! Why are you following me?"
Ye Feng said lazily, "Cut the crap. I already helped you drive off the Asura Mercenary Corps, so you should fulfill your promise. Go back and convince your father to return my Qilin Helmet!"
Hearing this, Blood Phoenix flew into a rage. "Ye Feng, I dealt with the Jade-Faced Asura all by myself! Did you help me one bit? What the hell does this have to do with you?
And now you’re demanding something from me? Have you no shame?"
Ye Feng said calmly, "Blood Phoenix, if I hadn’t stepped in and hit the Jade-Faced Asura’s acupuncture point, do you think you could have dodged that spear? Do you think you could have turned defeat into victory?"
Blood Phoenix glared at him and roared, "It was obviously an old injury acting up that made her freeze! What the hell does that have to do with you? Stop trying to take credit!"
With that, she ignored Ye Feng and turned to leave.
Ye Feng’s brow furrowed slightly, but it quickly smoothed out. He muttered, "I guess I’ll have to go ask Uncle Han for my Qilin Helmet myself. As for going through with the wedding night with you? Heh. I’m afraid I’d dirty my own tool."
With that, he clasped his hands behind his back and leisurely walked away.
Behind him, the Jade-Faced Asura watched Ye Feng’s departing figure and murmured, "Such heaven-defying skill, and a completely unfamiliar face... Just who are you?"
The next moment, her expression turned cold. In a deep voice, she ordered, "Send word immediately. I want a full background check on this man. I want it so detailed that you find out what color his underwear is!"
"Yes!" Someone answered and turned to leave.
The Jade-Faced Asura watched Ye Feng’s retreating figure, the corners of her lips curling up slightly. ’You’re the first one who’s ever dared to take advantage of me... but I have to say, it wasn’t half bad!’
With that, her body flickered and abruptly vanished.
