"It is the Great Emperor’s command. We have no choice but to obey."

"City King. So it’s you. Did my father send you to spy on me?" Jade-Faced Asura asked, looking at the white-robed elder, her voice calm.

The man was none other than the City King, one of the Ten Yama Kings of the Underworld.

The City King shook his head. "Young Miss, the Great Emperor sent me because you have yet to acquire the Kirin Set after all this time. He sent us to urge you, as he will have need of it very soon."

"But I never expected you to simply hand over the Kirin Set to Ye Feng, and even engage in... debauchery with him. You have gone too far. You will return and explain this to the Great Emperor yourself. Please!"

"And if I refuse to go back with you?" Jade-Faced Asura asked, her gaze fixed on the City King, her voice even.

The City King sighed. "Then I will have to be impolite and take you back by force!"

"You? You think you can take me by force?" Jade-Faced Asura looked at the City King and let out a dry laugh.

The City King laughed as well. "Oh, Young Miss, we’re all on the same side. We all know each other’s strengths. You are merely at the peak of Martial Immortal Tier Five, while I am already at the peak of Martial Immortal Tier Six. I don’t think you’re in any position to resist me taking you away!"
