Chapter 413: Chapter 412: You Shall Not Pass

Ye Feng leaned in close to Blood Phoenix’s ear and whispered with a smirk, "You already know exactly how capable I am, don’t you?"

"You jerk!" Blood Phoenix scoffed, her pretty face flushing red all the way to her ears.

’He’s just going to say filthy things regardless of the time or place, isn’t he? Dad is standing right here!’

She quickly turned to look at Han Qiang, only to find him standing there, trembling all over, his face ashen.

"Why is *he* here? It’s over... We’re done for, Tongtian City is done for. Not even the gods can save us now!"

Blood Phoenix looked at Han Qiang and pursed her lips. "Dad, with Ye Feng here, any ghost or ghoul that shows up will have to get on their knees. I’d like to see just who could get you into such a state!"

With that, she turned and followed Han Qiang’s gaze.

An old man in a white robe stood before the ranks of black-robed figures.

The old man was gaunt and spectral. He was clearly standing there, yet it was impossible to sense his aura.

Staring at the old man, Blood Phoenix froze, her mouth agape and speechless.

At that moment, the one hundred thousand black-robed soldiers below knelt in unison and shouted respectfully toward the white-robed elder:

"Your subordinates greet you, Lord Northern Ghost Emperor!"

Blood Phoenix finally snapped out of it, letting out a sharp cry. "The Northern Ghost Emperor! That’s the Northern Ghost Emperor!"

Han Qiang turned to Blood Phoenix and Ye Feng, his voice trembling as he yelled, "Quick, get out of here! You have to go!"

But down below the city wall, the Northern Ghost Emperor chuckled.

"Leaving? You wish. Not a single one of you is leaving today!"

The next moment, he raised his right hand toward a small mountain to his left and bellowed:

"Rise!"

In the next instant, Han Qiang and the others watched in horror as a nearby hill was torn from the ground, slowly ascending until it hovered directly over their heads.

Han Qiang’s legs trembled uncontrollably. He shrieked, "I’ve heard the legends of the Northern Ghost Emperor’s infinite strength, and it seems they’re true!"

He struggled to turn his head toward Ye Feng and Blood Phoenix, yelling urgently, "What are you two spacing out for? Get going! Do you want to die here?"

He then tried to raise his hand to push Blood Phoenix and Ye Feng away, but discovered in horror that his arm felt bound by a thousand chains, completely immovable.

Han Qiang’s face fell. ’This overwhelming pressure...!’

He looked at Ye Feng, and a sudden realization made his eyes light up. He yelled frantically, "Ye Feng, hurry up and call your master! Otherwise, we’re all screwed today!"

Ye Feng shook his head helplessly. "My master is at the Kunlun Sect playing mahjong!"

Han Qiang staggered, nearly collapsing.

The next moment, he was seething. ’Your disciple is about to die, and you’re off playing mahjong? How could you be so carefree?!’

Knowing that Ye Feng’s master wasn’t coming, Han Qiang’s heart sank to the depths of despair.

Just then, the Northern Ghost Emperor bellowed, "Go!"

The next moment, Han Qiang watched helplessly as the hill, wreathed in the power of a tempest, came crashing down upon them.

Before the hill even landed, a terrifying pressure enveloped them all. Han Qiang’s legs trembled so violently that he nearly buckled and fell to his knees.

His face turned deathly pale.

’This is it, we’re completely done for,’ he thought. ’Even all of us combined can’t withstand this single attack from the Northern Ghost Emperor. Not only will we die today, but all the innocent people of Tongtian City will have to die with us.’

Seeing the hill drawing ever closer, Han Qiang helplessly closed his eyes. ’So this is it. Next year, today will be the anniversary of my death.’

But he waited, and the hill never crashed down.

Puzzled, Han Qiang opened his eyes. In the next instant, they nearly popped out of his skull.

Ye Feng’s right hand was raised high, his index finger pressed against the bottom of the hill, stopping it from descending even an inch.

Han Qiang couldn’t believe his eyes. ’A hill! A hill that must weigh tens of millions of pounds, and Ye Feng is holding it up with a single finger? How is that possible?’

Just then, Ye Feng looked at Han Qiang and smiled. "Uncle Han, even without my master here, they won’t be able to lay a finger on you."

Han Qiang’s mouth hung agape, utterly speechless. He was completely stunned.

Below the wall, the black-robed figures stared at Ye Feng, their eyes filled with astonishment. ’He’s that strong?’

The Northern Ghost Emperor looked at Ye Feng, a flicker of apprehension in his eyes. He then said coldly, "I didn’t expect you to have some real ability. But so what? You’re still going to die."

With that, he stomped his feet and soared into the air. The black-robed men nodded to themselves. ’He’s going to face him head-on. Truly worthy of being the Lord Northern Ghost Emperor. What a man.’

But to their astonishment, in the very next instant, the Northern Ghost Emperor’s body twisted violently and shot away, fleeing backward like a bolt of lightning.

The jaws of the black-robed men hit the floor. ’Holy shit, did he just run away?’

Han Qiang let out a long sigh of relief, patting his chest. "He ran away! He finally ran away!"

The words had barely left his mouth when Ye Feng spoke in a cold voice from behind him, "Leaving? You wish. Since you’re here, you might as well stay."

Han Qiang was so frightened he nearly wet himself. He stared at Ye Feng and shrieked:

"Ye Feng, do you have any idea what his cultivation level is? He’s a Martial Immortal of the Tier Eight! Tier Eight! And on top of that, his strength is limitless!"

"Forcing him to retreat is already a massive victory! You want to make him *stay*? Are you insane?"

But before he could finish, he heard Ye Feng roar:

"Go!"

With that, his right fist slammed into the bottom of the hill!

BOOM! Han Qiang watched, wide-eyed, as the hill shot off like a bolt of lightning, caught up to the fleeing Northern Ghost Emperor, and came crashing down.

An earth-shattering CRASH was followed by a blood-curdling scream. Dust and smoke instantly filled the air, obscuring everything.

After a long while, the dust settled. Han Qiang stared at the ground where a massive crater, hundreds of feet wide, had appeared. The hill that had created it was buried deep within, completely gone from sight.

Han Qiang searched everywhere for the Northern Ghost Emperor, but there was no sign of him.

Just then, the black-robed men below began to scream in terror:

"The Northern Ghost Emperor is dead! Lord Northern Ghost Emperor was crushed to death!"

BOOM!

The words struck like a thunderclap, sending a paralyzing shock through everyone present.

Who was the Northern Ghost Emperor? He was one of the supreme experts of the Underworld, a Martial Immortal of the Tier Eight with limitless strength.

Never mind in the outer lands—even in the Underworld itself, he was a nigh-invincible existence. Aside from the Fengdu Emperor, no one could handle him. And yet today, he had been crushed to death by Ye Feng?

How... how was this possible?

But they had no choice but to accept it as fact. The black-robed men turned to look at Ye Feng, their eyes filled with absolute terror.

Who could possibly stand against such a terrifying being?!

One of the black-robed men shrieked, "Run!"

All the black-robed men snapped to their senses and turned to flee. The army of one hundred thousand retreated like a receding tide.

But they hadn’t gotten far before the thunder of cannons echoed from the mountain pass ahead. A group of soldiers charged out, led by a great banner fluttering in the wind. On it, a blood-red qilin bared its fangs and brandished its claws, looking ready to leap from the fabric and into the heavens.

The Qilin Battalion!

Just then, four old men in mercenary attire stepped out from the ranks.

They were none other than the Four Great Celestial Generals of the Qilin Battalion.

The Four Great Celestial Generals roared as one, "This path is closed!"

They swung their right fists and slammed them down in unison. With a deafening CRASH, a massive crater was instantly blasted into the ground before them.

The black-robed men at the front didn’t even have time to scream before they were smashed into a bloody pulp.
