Chapter 424: Chapter 423: Foes Meet, Eyes Red with Rage

Hearing the battle cries rising and falling all around them, Duncan was so anxious he was on the verge of tears. "They’ve all been blinded! We’re just sitting ducks, waiting to be cut down! What are we going to do?!"

Deng Ling’Er’s brow furrowed slightly. But just then, a calm voice sounded from behind them:

"This Ghostly Realm is nothing. Watch me shatter it!"

As he spoke, Ye Feng stepped forward and hurled a Token into the air, roaring, "Celestial Master Token, go!"

The Token shot into the sky, rapidly expanding to several yards in size. Golden light burst from it, piercing the dense black fog.

The black fog vanished as if it were snow in boiling water, and clarity was restored to Yama City in an instant.

The black-robed figures who were charging in froze, staring blankly.

From atop the city wall, the King of the Five Senses shrieked, "The Celestial Master Token! That’s the Celestial Master Token!"

Ye Feng said calmly, "That’s right. This is the Celestial Master Token. It was made to break all the world’s evil arts. So in its presence, even your Ghostly Realm must kneel."

The King of the Five Senses’ eyes turned bloodshot. "You bastard! I’ll destroy you!"

With that, the King of the Five Senses leaped from the city wall, rushing before Ye Feng. He raised his ghost-headed saber and brought it crashing down on Ye Feng’s head.

"Ye Feng, watch out!" Deng Ling’Er, who was standing nearby, couldn’t help but cry out in concern.

But before the words even left her lips, she saw Ye Feng’s right hand shoot up. He caught the sharp edge of the ghost-headed saber between his index and middle fingers, holding it fast. No matter how much force the King of the Five Senses put behind it, the blade wouldn’t move another inch.

The King of the Five Senses stared at Ye Feng, his pupils constricting.

His ghost-headed saber weighed more than thirty jin, and with the force of his full-powered strike, the impact was well over a hundred thousand jin. ’He caught my saber with just two fingers? How can anyone’s strength be this terrifying?’

Sensing danger, the King of the Five Senses stomped his feet, preparing to retreat. But in the next instant, Ye Feng’s right foot shot out like a bolt of lightning and slammed into his gut.

A sickening THUD was followed by the King of the Five Senses’s bloodcurdling scream.

The crowd could only watch as Ye Feng’s kick tore a bloody hole straight through his stomach. Blood gushed out, and it was obvious he wouldn’t survive.

Ye Feng looked down at him, his voice cold. "You thought you could act arrogant in front of me? You’re not worthy."

The King of the Five Senses stared blankly at Ye Feng, his eyes filled with disbelief. In the next moment, his pupils dilated, and he went still.

Seeing Ye Feng kill the King of the Five Senses in a single move, the black-robed figures behind them were terrified. Their will to fight shattered, they screamed and scattered in all directions.

Deng Ling’Er waved her hand and roared, "Men, after them! Kill!"

"Kill!" Seeing Ye Feng slay the King of the Five Senses, everyone’s confidence soared. With a great roar, they charged after the retreating black-robed figures.

Behind them, Blood Phoenix patted the white wolf she was riding. "White Wolf," she said gently, "it’s our turn."

The white wolf nodded, tilted its head back, and let out a piercing howl.

Soon, with a chorus of whooshes, countless dire wolves appeared, pouncing on the fleeing black-robed figures.

Chen Yun’Er murmured, "And now, it’s my turn."

She brought her right hand up before her chest, forming a hand seal and muttering an incantation. The next moment, she pointed forward and roared:

"Ten Thousand Ghosts Annihilation Array, rise!"

Instantly, countless streams of black mist shot into the sky, swiftly enveloping the black-robed figures.

The battlefield turned into a one-sided slaughter. In the end, all two million black-robed men knelt on the ground, their hands raised in surrender.

Duncan’s confidence swelled. He brandished his saber and roared, "All troops, listen up! Follow me into the Hall of Yama! We’ll kill that old bastard, the Fengdu Emperor!"

"Kill!" everyone roared in unison. They followed Duncan to the front of the Hall of Yama and charged straight inside.

But in the next instant, a terrifying wave of killing intent erupted from within. The men who had charged in were thrown back as if hit by a speeding train, crashing hard onto the ground. Many died on impact, and even Duncan was gravely wounded, coughing up mouthfuls of blood.

Ye Feng went over and helped Duncan to his feet. "Uncle Deng," he said in a cold voice, "let me handle this."

With that, Ye Feng strode into the hall, walking straight into the oppressive aura.

A soft chuckle echoed from within the hall. "Ye Feng, I’ve been waiting for you. You’re only just arriving now? I must say, I’m a little disappointed."

Ye Feng looked up. At the head of the hall sat a dragon throne, and lounging upon it was a figure shrouded in black mist, its features obscured. But from the throne alone, Ye Feng knew exactly who it was.

He spoke, his voice ice-cold. "Fengdu Emperor... Ning Xuan?"

"That’s me," the Fengdu Emperor replied languidly.

Ye Feng’s eyes went crimson. "It was you," he said, his voice frigid. "You worked with Long Xiaotian to wipe out more than eighty members of my Ye family?"

"I did," the Fengdu Emperor admitted without hesitation.

"And you imprisoned my parents?" Ye Feng demanded, his gaze fixed on the black mist.

"I did," the Fengdu Emperor admitted freely.

Ye Feng stared at the Fengdu Emperor, speaking word by word. "Hand my parents over to me. Now. Do that, and I might spare you. Otherwise... you die!"
