Chapter 428 - 427: Who in the Entire Great Xia Empire Can Withstand This?
Chapter 428: Chapter 427: Who in the Entire Great Xia Empire Can Withstand This?
There were indeed experts over in the Imperial Capital, but no matter how powerful they were, they couldn’t compare to the great Kings Yama. What’s more, with a monster like the Western Ghost Emperor holding down the fort, who could possibly stand against them?
Chen Yun’Er’s face had turned as white as a sheet. She couldn’t help but look at Ye Feng, but he just stood there, his long spear aimed at the Fengdu Emperor, completely motionless, his expression grim.
The Fengdu Emperor looked at Ye Feng and chuckled coldly before speaking:
"It seems you still don’t believe my words. Well then, I’ll show you something that will make you believe!"
With that, he took out his phone and made a call.
...
「Great Xia Empire, Imperial Capital.」
At the entrance of the Prince Consort’s Manor, a group of royal guards stood majestically, vigilantly scanning their surroundings. But just then, a squad of black-robed figures appeared out of thin air.
Several royal guards aimed their longswords at the group of black-robed figures and barked coldly:
"This is the Prince Consort’s Manor, a restricted area! Unauthorized personnel are not allowed to linger. Leave at once, or be killed without mercy!"
But before the words had even left their mouths, one of the black-robed figures appeared before them like a phantom. With a casual wave of his hand, a series of impacts rang out. The royal guards were instantly sent flying like cannonballs, crashing to the ground one after another. They screamed in agony and writhed on the ground, but not a single one could get back on their feet.
The black-robed figure looked at them and said coldly, "Insignificant ants like you dare to shout at us? Are you looking to die?!"
When the commander of the royal guards saw this, his pupils contracted. ’These royal guards are all top experts selected from the guard corps, yet they couldn’t withstand a casual flick of this man’s hand. Who is this person? How can he be so powerful?’
The commander of the royal guards looked at the black-robed figure and asked warily, "Who are you people?"
"We are from the Underworld!" the black-robed figure said to the commander, enunciating each word.
"The Underworld!" the commander shrieked. In the next instant, his face turned as white as a sheet. He never imagined they would be facing members of the Underworld.
’Everyone from the Underworld is an expert. How can we possibly resist them with our strength?’
The commander shrieked, "Quick, report to the Old Immortal...!"
His words had just faded when a voice, old yet full of vigor, rang out from a distance:
"There’s no need. I have already arrived!"
Everyone turned to look and saw an old man with a full head of white hair and a white beard, walking toward them with his hands clasped behind his back.
The old man took a single step and covered a distance of a full fifty meters. With just a few more steps, he was already in front of the commander.
The old man stood there, straight as a spear, towering and majestic like a mountain.
Seeing the newcomer, the commander and all the guards quickly bowed in respect. "We greet the Old Immortal!"
The newcomer was none other than the Great Xia Empire’s Dragon Guardian, Xuanyuan Cheng.
Xuanyuan Cheng nodded slightly, then looked at the black-robed figure opposite him and spoke calmly:
"I will not allow you to cause trouble at the Prince Consort’s Manor."
The black-robed figure looked at Xuanyuan Cheng and spoke with a sinister smile:
"Then you can go die!"
With that, he stomped his feet and shot toward Xuanyuan Cheng like a cannonball, raising his right fist and smashing it ferociously toward his temple.
But before his fist could even touch Xuanyuan Cheng, Xuanyuan Cheng leaned back slightly, and his right foot shot up, kicking the black-robed figure directly in the abdomen. With a sickening SQUELCH, a bloody hole was kicked clean through the man’s stomach. The black-robed figure let out a piercing scream, his aura instantly dissipating.
Seeing how incredibly powerful Xuanyuan Cheng was, the guards behind him immediately broke into loud cheers.
The commander looked at the black-robed figure who had collapsed to the ground, unconscious, and said coldly:
"The Old Immortal is the number one expert in our Great Xia Empire, with the supreme cultivation of a Tier One Martial Immortal. You think you can cause trouble here? You’re just looking for death..."
But his words had barely faded when another black-robed figure suddenly charged in front of Xuanyuan Cheng, raising a fist and smashing it toward his heart.
The commander behind them scoffed, "We just told you how powerful the Old Immortal is, and you still dare to provoke him? You’re just throwing your own life away..."
Before he could finish, a deafening BOOM echoed. The next moment, he watched wide-eyed as Xuanyuan Cheng staggered backward, opened his mouth, and spat out a large mouthful of blood.
The commander couldn’t believe his eyes. ’The Old Immortal... he’s the Dragon Guardian of the Great Xia Empire, a supreme expert at Tier One of the Martial Immortal realm! And he was heavily injured by a single blow? How can this person be so powerful?’
He turned his head to look at that black-robed figure and stammered in astonishment:
"You... Who on earth are you?"
The black-robed figure replied coldly, "The Underworld’s Judge."
"The Judge... You’re the Judge," the commander shrieked, his face instantly turning as white as a sheet.
’No wonder he could heavily injure the Old Immortal in a single blow. So he’s that terrifying. I’ve heard the Underworld’s Judge has already reached Tier Three of the Martial Immortal realm. At this rate, all of us combined couldn’t take a single hit from him... Is the Prince Consort’s Manor doomed to fall today?’
But just as he was sinking into utter despair, two figures shot out of the Prince Consort’s Manor like lightning, appearing directly in front of the Underworld’s Judge. One of them threw a punch, smashing it right into his head.
With a deafening BOOM, the commander behind them watched in astonishment as the Underworld Judge’s head was blown apart. His body staggered for a moment before collapsing lifelessly to the ground.
The royal guards’ eyes nearly popped out of their sockets. That was the Underworld’s Judge, a being with Tier Three Martial Immortal cultivation who could cripple the Old Immortal in a single move, and yet someone had just blown his head apart with one punch?
’Who are these newcomers? How can they be so powerful?’ Everyone turned to look at them.
They saw a monk and a peerlessly beautiful woman of indeterminate age. They stood to the left and right, staring blankly at the remaining black-robed figures.
