Ultimate Master in the City
Chapter 65: Today I Will Flatten Your Martial Arts Association
Chapter 65: Chapter 65: Today I Will Flatten Your Martial Arts Association
The bald man and his companions stared at Cui Biao’s arrogant demeanor, itching to rush over and tear him limb from limb, but after a moment’s thought, they stopped in their tracks.
The bald man was about as strong as the man with the buzz cut, and the others were even weaker. If they charged forward, forget about taking Cui Biao down—he would undoubtedly be the one wiping the floor with them.
Just as they were caught in a dilemma, a sound of footsteps echoed from behind, followed by a sigh:
"You came here today, yet not only do you refuse to obediently kneel and apologize to the Martial Arts Association, you even dare to cause trouble. You clearly have no respect for our association. You want to drag the face of my Martial Arts Association through the mud!"
Following the voice, a group of people strode forward. The man in the lead was heavyset, dressed in a red training uniform, and carried an imposing aura. It was clear he was no commoner.
Seeing the newcomer, the bald man hurried forward. "Chairman," he began respectfully, "they..."
The newcomer was none other than the Chairman of the Jiangcheng Martial Arts Association, Meng Qiang.
Meng Qiang waved a dismissive hand. "Stand down," he said calmly. "I’m already aware of the situation."
The bald man respectfully retreated to one side and stood with his hands down.
Ye Feng looked at Meng Qiang and asked calmly, "Were you the one who had people capture Wang Luyao?"
Meng Qiang nodded, admitting it without hesitation. "That was me!"
"Why go after Wang Luyao?" Ye Feng asked, his eyes fixed on Meng Qiang.
"The reason’s quite simple. Because she’s connected to you. I was afraid you wouldn’t listen, so I used her as bait to lure you here!" Meng Qiang said calmly, looking at Ye Feng.
Ye Feng nodded. "So I was the target."
"Of course," Meng Qiang snorted. "Meng Jun is a member of our Martial Arts Association. You broke both his arms."
"And our Association’s Grandmaster, Tang Yun, was beaten so badly by you people that every bone in his body was shattered. He’s a complete cripple now..."
Cui Biao, at his side, shouted at Meng Qiang, "Chairman Meng, we did lay a hand on those two, but aren’t you going to ask why? Don’t you care whether they were in the wrong?"
But Meng Qiang didn’t even spare him a glance. He kept his eyes fixed on Ye Feng and continued.
"Today, you’ve gotten even bolder. You actually dared to drive a car through the Association’s gatehouse and race around in a restricted area. You’ve really grown a backbone, haven’t you? You must have a death wish!
"Ye Feng, I, Meng Qiang, am a merciful man. I brought you here intending to have you obediently kneel, release a statement publicly admitting your mistakes to the Martial Arts Association, and in return, I would have only crippled your arms and legs, sparing your life. But you’re the one with a death wish. You’re the one who doesn’t want to live anymore. So don’t blame me for being merciless today..."
Cui Biao, at his side, couldn’t take it anymore. He glared at Meng Qiang and roared:
"Meng Qiang, are you completely unreasonable...?"
Before the words were even out of Cui Biao’s mouth, a figure behind Meng Qiang moved like a bolt of lightning, and a heavy slap landed squarely on Cui Biao’s face.
With a loud CRACK, Cui Biao was sent flying through the air. He slammed hard onto the ground, and half his face instantly swelled to a great height.
Cui Biao turned to look and saw a tall, thin old man in a yellow training uniform standing there, staring at him coldly.
"You really think becoming a Martial Master gives you the right to act so insolently at my Martial Arts Association? I’m telling you, you’re not worthy!"
Meng Qiang pointed at the gaunt old man and announced imperiously:
"Allow me to introduce you. This is the Vice Chairman of the Jiangcheng Martial Arts Association, Peng Zhi. He is already at the Grandmaster Peak realm, a level higher than Tang Yun. An ant like you wants to act up in front of him? You’re courting death!"
After he finished, Meng Qiang turned to Ye Feng and spoke with contempt. "Ye Feng, did you think that having Cui Biao here to back you up gave you the right to be arrogant before my Martial Arts Association? The right to provoke our dignity?
"Well, you thought wrong. In front of my Martial Arts Association, Cui Biao is less than nothing!"
The members of the Martial Arts Association behind them all let out cold sneers.
Cui Biao looked at Peng Zhi standing there, and his heart sank. ’A Grandmaster... An expert even more powerful than Tang Yun. He’s a final boss. Who could possibly handle that?’
He looked at Ye Feng, about to urge him to apologize to the Martial Arts Association and try to resolve the conflict. But Ye Feng’s next sentence nearly sent him sprawling to the floor.
Ye Feng merely looked at Meng Qiang and said calmly:
"I’ll give you one chance. Bring Wang Luyao out to me immediately. Then, have Master San kneel, kowtow, and apologize. Do as I say, and we can let this go. Otherwise, I will trample your Martial Arts Association flat today!"
Cui Biao immediately covered his face. ’Oh, for the love of God. There are only three of us. How are you going to trample the Martial Arts Association flat? With just your mouth?’
At this, Meng Qiang and his men behind him roared with laughter, doubling over. It was a long time before they stopped. Meng Qiang looked at Ye Feng, struggling to hold back a smile as he said:
"In all my years, this is the first time I’ve seen someone so arrogant. It’d be one thing if you actually had the power to back up your words, but you have none. To dare run your mouth here... you’re purely and simply looking to die!
"Since you’re so eager to die, I’ll grant you your wish."
With that, he looked at Peng Zhi beside him and said calmly:
"Chairman Peng, go over and teach him how to behave. Oh, and by the way, don’t kill him outright. Torture him slowly. Let him learn the price of provoking someone he shouldn’t have, haha..."
Peng Zhi nodded and strode towards Ye Feng. As he walked, he spoke imperiously:
"Wang Luyao is your woman, isn’t she? Don’t you worry. After you die, I’ll take good care of her for you. I won’t let her get lonely, heh heh..."
By the time he finished speaking, he was already in front of Ye Feng. He raised his right fist and brought it crashing down toward Ye Feng’s temple.
Before the fist arrived, the wind it generated did. Cui Biao, standing a good distance away, felt his clothes whipping violently. One could only imagine the power behind that punch.
Cui Biao’s heart plunged. How could Ye Feng possibly withstand such a ferocious punch!
’This time, Ye Feng is finished.’
Just then, Meng Qiang sneered from behind. "Ye Feng, let me tell you one more thing! Today, I will chop off your head and Cui Miaobao’s and hang them above my Martial Arts Association’s gatehouse! I want everyone to know what happens when you provoke our Martial Arts Association, ha ha..."
But his words had barely left his lips when, in the next instant, his pupils contracted violently.
He watched, wide-eyed, as Peng Zhi’s fist, just before it could touch Ye Feng, was intercepted. A large hand had shot out from behind Ye Feng in a flash and clamped down on Peng Zhi’s fist!
No matter how hard Peng Zhi struggled, his fist could not advance another inch.
The one who made the move was Ah Dao!
Peng Zhi stared at Ah Dao, his pupils constricting. He knew exactly how much power was behind that punch. He could shatter a five-centimeter-thick steel plate with a single blow.
Yet this big oaf had easily blocked his attack with a bare hand. How could he possess such terrifying strength?
But he quickly realized this big oaf’s skills were anything but ordinary. He was no match for him in a direct confrontation!
So, he stomped his feet and threw his body back, trying to disengage and retreat.
But what happened next left him horrified.
