Ultra-Level Weeb: Rise in an Awakened World
Chapter 166
"You’re going to make us late..."
Zerena muttered the words while brushing her teeth after washing up yet again. Max had left her face and breasts carrying the lingering smell of her own saliva, and there was no helping the other evidence either.
The scent of sex still clung between her thighs from her recent orgasm.
As Zerena brushed her teeth, trying to get rid of any lingering smell of Max’s semen, Max stood behind her with his arms wrapped around her waist. He fondled her stomach while placing slow kisses along her neck.
Of course, he wasn’t content to let her get ready in peace.
His wandering hands gradually moved lower, coaxing that familiar tingling sensation between her thighs once again.
As there was no way Zerena could endure his childish behavior for much longer.
After spitting out the water from her final gargle, Zerena turned around with an irritated expression.
"Don’t start this now. We’re already running late, and we won’t get another chance like this."
Despite wanting to continue herself, she forced the words out before Max could distract her again.
"I’m all yours once we’re finished, so stop for now..."
Max looked genuinely shocked.
Zerena’s cheeks had turned slightly red, and her eyes darted away as though she couldn’t believe she’d actually said that herself.
That alone made Max’s grin spread wider.
He simply nodded without saying a word, finally loosening his grip on her butt and allowing her to get ready.
Zerena sighed as she picked up a towel and wiped her face and neck.
Behind her, Max was still wearing an absurdly wide smile. He couldn’t help wanting to keep himself pressed against her soft body, but alas, she had already promised him full access later when she’d said she was all his.
For now, he supposed he’d have to show some restraint.
Max knew plenty of women said things like that to their husbands just to get them to cooperate—or to dodge intimacy when they weren’t in the mood.
But Zerena wasn’t his wife, and Max wasn’t particularly worried about making her angry.
Besides, unlike those husbands who learned to treat such promises as empty words, Max intended to hold her to every syllable.
To him, her words were practically divine law.
Even if Zerena tried denying what she’d said later, Max would still consider those words a binding contract.
With that thought putting an even wider smile on his face, he walked out, catching one last glimpse of her bare butt jiggling slightly as she headed toward the clothes she’d laid out earlier.
A matching set of underwear and a formal-looking two-piece dress waited for her.
Watching her put them on one piece at a time gave Max plenty of ideas about later, when she’d be taking them off again.
For now, though, the process was almost torturous.
First, the fabric hid her intimate area from view. Then her bra covered her enormous breasts, leaving only a hint of them accessible above the cups.
Max could only watch in silence as Zerena steadily covered up everything he’d much rather keep looking at.
But then she put on her shirt, taking away another part of the view Max had been enjoying.
Her thighs were covered next.
Max could only sigh and endure the tragedy, surviving on the comforting thought that he’d get another chance later to enjoy her body however he pleased.
Once she was dressed, Zerena glanced back at him—and immediately looked surprised.
Max was still standing there completely naked, his penis still fully erect as though he had no intention of cooperating with the morning schedule.
"What are you doing? Get dressed already!"
Max nodded under her glare and hurriedly went to get dressed.
He knew Zerena was practically under his thumb when it came to sexual favors.
But that didn’t mean she wouldn’t slap his soul straight out of his body if he pushed her patience too far.
"Don’t speak unless I give you a signal..."
Zerena finally managed to get Max out of the house without letting him mess up her clothes or hair again. Now, as they headed toward the meeting, she was drilling him on what to say, what not to say, and which things he absolutely shouldn’t do.
Max nodded along, his one cheek slightly red and swollen.
As Even after getting her to promise him the full experience later, Max still couldn’t stop himself from stealing another few minutes of kisses.
Naturally, that only left Zerena a little more worked up—and slightly damp in her panties.
Max, of course, had no idea he’d managed that.
Because if he had known, there was a very real chance they wouldn’t have made it out of the house for another two hours.
"Just nod when I nod and shake your head when I do. If I suddenly go quiet and look at you, that’s your cue to speak."
Zerena continued reviewing something on her phone as they sat in the taxi. Then she glanced at Max to make sure he was paying attention.
"Understood?"
Max nodded, feeling rather handsome.
For the first time in days, he’d actually bothered to comb his hair instead of simply letting it dry after washing. Combined with the decent clothes he’d chosen, the effort made a noticeable difference.
His new body wasn’t half bad when he actually took care of it.
With his increased height and added muscle mass, Max even looked like he had the potential to become a model.
If only he were a few inches taller.
Naturally, that was now the next problem on his list.
He’d earned more points than he’d spent the previous day upgrading his penis, but he hadn’t found the time to check exactly how many he’d accumulated.
Before he could do so, Zerena spoke again.
"Oh, and I forgot to mention something. The meeting isn’t just about getting the army to make us their permanent potion suppliers..."
Max looked confused. He’d thought the meeting was solely about expanding their business.
Zerena continued, "The colonel is also looking to hire a potion maker for research. We’re going to try to convince him to hire you, so don’t hide even a fraction of your abilities."
She paused, then added, "Of course, keep the obvious things to yourself..."
When Max still looked slightly puzzled, she leaned closer and whispered,
"No matter what, don’t tell him about your System."
Max nodded again, his expression turning serious.
Of course he wasn’t going to do that.
The only reason he’d revealed his System to Zerena in the first place was because he’d been horny, inexperienced, and still a virgin in his second life.
Under normal circumstances, he would never have been that careless.
"But do I really have to impress him?" Max asked, sounding a little unsure.
It wasn’t as though he needed the opportunity that badly. Thanks to all the business-building and empire-growing NovelPhoenixs he’d read, he could think of at least a hundred ways to gain power and become rich.
Getting on a colonel’s good side was hardly his only option.
"Of course we do."
Zerena said it with such certainty that it sounded less like a suggestion and more like an absolute necessity.
Max still didn’t understand why.
Seeing his confused expression, Zerena sighed and continued.
"You don’t understand, Max... You’re talented. With that System of yours, you’re practically a genius among geniuses. But you’re not strong enough yet. Someone powerful could still crush you without much effort."
Her expression grew more serious.
"So we need strong allies. If your talents become known, having someone powerful standing behind you means you won’t get hurt."
She paused, then added more quietly,
"which also mean I won’t be hurt too."
Well, that was surprisingly far-sighted of her.
Max looked a little shocked that she’d already thought things through to that extent.
Still, it was a reasonable plan—and, more importantly, a believable one for the smooth progression of his story toward becoming this world’s hero.
Otherwise, he’d have to rely entirely on plot armor, pull ridiculous stunts, and spend the rest of his life face-slapping people with increasingly absurd excuses.
Still, Zerena’s plan sounded a little too elaborate, involving far too many conversations and hypothetical scenarios.
Max preferred the simpler version—the one where he showed up, impressed the colonel, and let things develop naturally.
That scenario sounded much more manageable.
So he nodded and said, "Well then, I’ll work hard to impress him..."
Zerena nodded with a smile.
"Just don’t overdo it. We need him to protect you, not hand you over to some higher-up as a test subject."
Max looked genuinely shocked.
He hadn’t realized that talented geniuses like himself might end up being experimented on.
But then again, what did he expect?
He was still far too naïve for someone destined to become the main character of this world. Of course, even a supposedly heroic journey came with annoying little plots like this.
Technically, he was living in a superhero world.
He really should’ve expected the occasional mad scientist.
