Chapter 1028: Chapter 625: Tomb Special Unit, Demon Appetite! (Part 2)
Not that there aren’t any demonic Desecration Magic attacks, but most of them don’t have much effect.
Even a large explosion of Desecration Flames, which shatters some of the Tomb Undead.
For the Spiritual Remains Warriors, it’s not a big issue.
They quickly extinguish the flames and fill the gaps in the formation.
Every demon that broke through the Undead Sky Screen is knocked down, their bodies dragged to the rear of the formation.
Although these demons were killed by Fang Zhou’s Tomb Undead, Fang Zhou couldn’t store the bodies ahead of time.
Because these corpses are the property of Hecarim, the employer.
But not being able to store them doesn’t mean they can’t be directly used.
All injured Spiritual Remains Warriors and Blood Spirit Warriors will be replaced, moved to the rear to absorb the essence and soul power from these corpses, healing their injuries.
And further back, Fang Zhou continues to summon reinforcements to join in.
At this point, he has dispatched over five thousand Spiritual Remains Warriors onto the battlefield.
While the War Mercenary formation next door is retreating, Fang Zhou’s Tomb Undead Legion is even advancing the line forward.
They trample the corpses of demons stabbed to death underfoot, taking the opportunity to have some Spiritual Remains Warriors who have not yet reached their peak absorb them.
As the casualties in the War Mercenary phalanx increase, more and more demons break through their defenses to attack the Tusk City Undead’s formation.
Compared to the War Mercenaries, the Tusk City Undead Legion’s combat strength is even more formidable.
Even Fang Zhou’s Spiritual Remains Warrior formation temporarily can’t match them.
The front-line Advanced Zombie infantry withstands the demons’ attack.
While the ghosts, vampires, and corpse witches at the rear continuously use ranged weapons or magic to inflict long-range damage, causing tremendous casualties to the demons.
This massive-scale battle isn’t only fought on land.
In the sky, the battle is even more intense.
In the sky, flying Sky-Hunting Demons and Terror Wing Demons emit terrifying howls as they battle the undead’s aerial forces.
The undead side mainly consists of ghosts, skeleton bats, vampires, stone golems, etc.
Both sides’ aerial forces engage in fierce combat in the sky.
Like other Tusk City Undead, the undead air force doesn’t fight randomly.
They too have formations, fighting in squads under the leadership of stronger flying undead.
Although demons are numerous, and some Terror Wing Demons are even at the Golden Tier, what of it.
When besieged, they still meet their end.
Relying on their formations, the undead maintain a local advantage in numbers on every battlefield.
Although numerous, demons lack suitable command and tactics, fighting chaotically.
The most terrifying thing is these chaotic demons not only fight the undead but also battle other demons.
The undead fight with a plan and command.
Demons treat all creatures except themselves as enemies.
They can attack anyone or anything and also face attacks from all directions.
Occasionally, flying undead or demons fall from the sky.
Some die completely, others just have injured wings unable to fly.
But once they fall from high above, there’s only one fate awaiting them—death.
Some die from the fall, others land amidst the fighting on both sides, facing an even more miserable end.
Accompanying Hecarim is his most elite Undead Guard.
They are Silver Tier Terror Sword and Shield Warriors, and some Golden Tier Terror Sword and Shield Guards, with his Mage Corps on the other side.
Over a hundred ghosts and vampire mages, led by a powerful Golden-Limit corpse witch, continuously cast spells, their power ranging from Bronze to Gold.
Now these undead casters exude dense undead energy.
They engage in combined spellcasting, releasing a powerful Death War Magic.
A gigantic Soul-Devouring Skull descends from the sky.
The spell’s power isn’t particularly great, its limit is merely Golden Tier, but its explosion range is vast.
Such a large-scale war magic falls, silencing the battlefield directly.
The magic strikes the densest demon area, killing or crippling nearly a thousand middle and low tier demons.
Some Golden Tier demons are severely injured by being too close to the impact point.
This is the power of large-scale magic and one of the Undead Legion’s signature moves to dominate the battlefield.
Unlike the undead, demons rarely actively learn magic.
Though demons have innate magical abilities, these are either not powerful or can’t be cast frequently.
Clearly, innate magic is not as convenient and practical as learned magic.
After the massive war magic lands, the demons’ offensive slows considerably, but the war isn’t over.
No matter what, the demons still hold a numerical advantage.
Excited demons won’t easily retreat, especially against the undead.
In large-scale battles, even Golden Tier demons dare not use teleportation to enter the center of the undead defenses.
Those bold enough have long died.
Some high-ranking demons charge at the Advanced Zombie line, relying on strength to break through.
Golden Tier demons might kill many Low Tier Zombies.
But Zombies fearlessly rush in, even just to spill blood on them.
Mixed among the Advanced Soldiers are powerful Vampire Nobles, Hate Samurai, and other high-tier undead warriors.
Golden Tier demons soon deplete their energy under the zombie assault, meeting death or fleeing under a high-tier undead siege.
Sometimes they don’t even have time to teleport away.
This field battle may not match Fang Zhou’s main body’s Hell Pit Fortress battle or the clone’s million-strong undead war on the Wasteland of Strife.
But in intensity, it far surpasses any wilderness battle Fang Zhou has encountered.
Fang Zhou, under Hecarim’s terrifying knight’s care, stays back, yet flying demons still dive from the sky, wielding crude weapons or attacking with claws and wings.
These weak demons’ attacks have no effect on Fang Zhou.
But for those unfortunate War Mercenaries, they’re very effective.
Often some unlucky or weak War Mercenaries are snatched by Sky-Hunting Demons or Terror Wing Demons.
They are then torn apart mid-air or fall to their deaths.
Among the Undead Army’s three factions: the Tusk City Legion, War Mercenaries, and Tomb Undead Warriors, the War Mercenaries suffer the most.
The Tusk City Undead Legion is powerful, and Fang Zhou’s Spiritual Remains Warrior line is dense, tightly defended, balanced in attack and defense, a tough nut for demons.
Across the battlefield, only War Mercenaries are soft targets.
Fang Zhou’s repeated attacks give Tutankhamun and his comrades chances to show their skill.
While demons dare not teleport into the grinder-like formations, they do teleport near Fang Zhou.
Each time a reckless demon arrives, Tutankhamun and his comrades charge.
Fang Zhou’s Tomb Mage Corps enhances them with Healing Magic, increase and defense spells.
Tutankhamun and his comrades feel moved.
As lonely War Mercenaries, they’ve never experienced such support before.
