Chapter 1079: Dragon Cave Secret Cult, Windfall Wealth, Target [Noxus]!

Although the Storm Secret Cult has greatly increased its strength and many raids no longer require the Calamity Special Operations Team to intervene, every time they go out, Leng Feng and his team still call upon everyone to go together.

Firstly, to handle any unexpected incidents promptly and avoid losses.

Secondly, to refine their combat synergy through repeated cooperation.

Thirdly, it’s mainly to prevent these Demon Bandits from lining their own pockets during robberies, as there have been a few such incidents before.

It’s not that Svein of the Storm Secret Cult has any small schemes, but in the face of resources, these greedy Demon Bandits are always lacking self-control.

Speaking of which, the leader Svein of the Storm Secret Cult has been quite glamorous these days.

No matter who it is, going from a minor, non-influential leader of the Esoteric Rebel Army to the head of a large cult with 2,000 Demon Descendants dominating a mountain range in just two months, would be as ambitious as him.

Especially today, Svein has received invitations from the Raven, Heart Eater, and Dragon Cave, the three major, established Esoteric Rebel Armies near Head Hunting City.

Every industry has its own rules, and the joint invitation from the three major Esoteric Rebel Armies to the Storm Secret Cult is a form of strength recognition.

In the future, amidst the vast Esoteric Rebel Army around Head Hunting City, the Storm will have the authority to speak.

However, Svein remains well-aware; he knows everything he has now has been brought to him by those four individuals.

Even though the strength of the Storm Secret Cult has risen, in every raid, they now take on only post-action roles, stepping in only when the Storm Secret Cult encounters situations they can’t handle.

But Svein knows, without this kind of backup, he wouldn’t have the confidence he does now.

There was once a bold confidant who saw their side growing in power and advised Svein to break free from their control.

This confidant was immediately killed by Svein himself and left as a corpse in the wilderness.

Others might claim they don’t know the strength of this mysterious group, but Svein, who has the most contact with them in the Storm Secret Cult, knows well.

Of course, this is also due to the strong effect of Fang Zhou’s [Enchanting Heart] released on Svein.

………

After yet another raiding harvest, Leng Feng returned with his warriors from the Calamity Special Operations Team to the Storm Secret Cult camp set in the mountains. Before long, a warrior came to report that Svein, the leader of the Storm Secret Cult, requested to meet.

Leng Feng found it a bit odd, as Svein usually only visited before each departure to talk to him and the others.

What could be the matter this time?

“Commander Leng Feng, you’ve worked hard again. Are you satisfied with today’s harvest?”

Once invited into the tent, Svein instructed two Demon Bandit subordinates to bring in a roasted suckling pig and other dishes with fine wine, saying with a broad smile.

“The leader is too kind. Today, there was nothing unusual, so it’s no big deal whether it was hard work or not.

But isn’t the leader supposed to be rewarding the subordinates at this time? How come you have time to come to me.” Leng Feng replied politely with a smile.

Svein said, “Commander Leng Feng, actually, besides wanting to drink with you, I have another matter I want to ask you about.”

“Please, go ahead.”

Svein took out the invitation from the three nearby major Esoteric Rebel Armies from his pocket.

It turned out that Svein wanted Leng Feng and his team to accompany him to attend this banquet among all large Esoteric Rebel Armies in Head Hunting City.

Although he was very eager for such a gathering, the leaders of the other large Esoteric Rebel Armies were notorious.

He’s merely a Silver Middle Rank Storm Demon, his speed is decent, but his other strengths are quite ordinary.

While he does have over 2,000 Demon Bandits, the strong ones among them were all killed by Leng Feng, leaving few to hold the ground.

Going to such a place alone made him truly anxious.

According to Fang Zhou’s repeated instructions to hide their identities as much as possible, Leng Feng initially intended to reject Svein’s request flatly.

However, after hearing Svein’s subsequent words, Leng Feng’s heart was moved and he changed his mind.

About a hundred kilometers east of Head Hunting City in the Calamity Sun Demon Country, there’s a large logistics hub called Noxus.

Due to its flat terrain, convenient transportation, and a rich magic stone mine, Noxus is usually the commercial center of several Great Noble territories of the nearby Demon Country.

Even during the war period, Noxus remains prosperous.

The streets bustling with traffic in all directions and the daily freight volume is enormous.

Such a wealthy place, the nearby few Demon Descendant Great Nobles also envy it, not to mention the Esoteric Rebel Armies that rely on plunder.

The Count of Naples, who commands the front line, naturally knows about this situation, so he has stationed heavy troops in the complex logistics hub of Noxus.

Five thousand regular Demon Army troops from Head Hunting City, plus several powerful Demon Descendants of Golden Level.

Such defending forces have thwarted any notion the Esoteric Rebel Army might have.

Additionally, the private soldiers of the various nearby Demon Descendant Nobles visiting Noxus also number in the thousands.

If needed, as long as a sum of magic stones is offered, a mercenary army can be quickly organized.

And for Noxus, magic stone is what they lack the least.

Therefore, even though the three major Esoteric Rebel Armies in Head Hunting City knew it was a huge piece of meat, they could only sigh in regret and watch without daring to act.

However, according to recently reliable information, for some unknown reason, three thousand troops of the five thousand stationed in Noxus were suddenly withdrawn.
