Undead Mage: I Have a Skeleton Clone
Chapter 1084: Commander of Demons, Power to Destroy Armies, Faction Expansion!
Midnight, within a mountain range.
The moonlight was dim, the night cool as water!
On a high slope not far from the Blade Cult camp, a menacing dragon rider suddenly appeared as an uninvited guest.
The main base of the Blade Cult insurgents was a hollow surrounded by mountains on two sides, not far from the Storm Secret Cult’s mountain range, about a day’s journey away.
Fang Zhou, following the map marked by Leng Feng, had already arrived at this place yesterday.
After a day’s preparation, the timing to launch the attack was now ripe.
Standing on the high slope, Fang Zhou’s wide robe flapped in the wind, the dragon horn on Tiamat’s forehead glinting with a chilling light under the moonlight.
Gazing at the Blade Cult insurgents’ camp below that had finally quieted after a noisy night, Fang Zhou’s thoughts moved.
Behind him, thousands of Black Iron Tier Corpse Warriors, led by hundreds of Bronze Tier Spiritual Remains Warriors, surged like a tide towards the Blade Cult camp below.
At the same time, over ten formidable Golden Undead split into two teams, charging towards both exits of the hollow.
Since advancing to a Golden Great Mage, Fang Zhou’s summoning ability had greatly improved.
The astonishingly large Undead Army before him was just a minor test of Fang Zhou’s skills.
A dark cloud drifted past, conveniently blocking the silvery moon.
Under the cover of night, the Undead Army moved to envelop the Blade Cult insurgents’ camp.
In the sky, hundreds of unusually wide black shadows appeared, all part of the Spiritual Remains Giant Bat unit, preparing to attack from the heights under the lead of the Blood Spirit Giant Bats.
Screech!
A sharp arrow signal rang out—it was the sentries of the Blade Cult camp spotting the vast approaching Undead Army.
But that was all.
The Blood Spirit arrow rain that followed decimated all sentries, whether concealed or in plain sight, no matter how well-guarded.
Fang Zhou hadn’t planned to hide such a massive encirclement.
This was a frontal assault, not a stealth mission.
In the silent midnight, piercing screams spread far and wide, causing the entire Blade Cult camp to erupt into chaos, chickens scattering and dogs running wildly.
Some Demon Bandits were ground into meat paste by squads of Corpse Warriors while still in their sleep.
The leader of the Blade Cult, Tyron, awoke with a start upon hearing the first screams.
He quickly got up, grabbed his greatsword, and rushed out of the tent, grabbing a Demon Bandit who was running by, “What’s going on? What happened?”
The panic-stricken Demon Bandit replied, “Lea… Leader, the Undead, the Undead are attacking!”
Tyron initially thought some other Secret Cult insurgent was taking advantage of his recent losses of a brother and a reliable subordinate, but hearing this, he was taken aback.
Undead? How could it be! He had never heard of Undead appearing in the vicinity.
With quick strides, Tyron reached the perimeter. Under the re-emerging moonlight, he indeed saw orderly groups of Undead launching an attack on his camp.
In just a moment, caught unprepared, Tyron’s Demon Bandits were caught off guard by the Undead, with chaos and upheaval and losses exceeding three hundred in manpower.
The fallen bodies, under Fang Zhou and the Blood Spirit Mage Corps’ casting from behind, turned into fearsome and hideous Flesh Servants, becoming new reinforcements in batches.
Although Tyron was shocked at heart, he couldn’t let his hard-established foundation be destroyed by these inexplicably appearing Undead.
He raised an arm and shouted, “Everyone stay calm, all squads light the torches.”
Upon hearing his voice, order began to return to the chaotic camp.
The Blade Cult, after all, had been established for several years as a large-scale secret cult insurgency, and under the command of some leaders, they gradually stabilized their position.
These battle-hardened elite Demon Bandits were mostly above the Black Iron Tier, and there were quite a few Bronze Tier Demon Bandit leaders among them.
In direct combat, the Undead Creatures of equal number and tier seemingly held no particular advantage.
Just as the Demon Bandits, their morale high, were preparing a vigorous counterattack, there came a sharp sound, a whistle slicing through the air.
The Demon Bandits looked toward the sound and saw an imposing Blood Spirit Assassin, wrapped in a layer of eerie blue spiritual armor, appearing mysteriously.
The Blood Spirit Assassin that suddenly appeared was none other than Catherine, whom Fang Zhou had enhanced to the Golden Lower Rank.
As an artificial Undead transformed from the remaining soul of an Undead Demon Champion once captured by Fang Zhou at the Beast Fighting City Tower Ruins, Catherine’s power essence was very high.
With sufficient resources, breaking through to the Golden Lower Rank was naturally a matter of course.
Though Catherine appeared small, the strength she unleashed was very potent.
Additionally, with her whip having a vast attack range, almost any Demon Bandit targeted by her was doomed.
She wore a layer of Ice Armor. Even when ordinary Demon Bandits used all their strength, they could only shave off some ice flakes, and none could actually harm her.
As the sound resonating through the air continued, almost a hundred Demon Bandits, if not eighty, perished by her hand.
A Demon Bandit leader, whose sword glowed faintly silver, was also caught off guard and was cleaved in two by her soul whip.
Catherine was almost unstoppable among the crowd, creating a bloodbath wherever she went.
