Chapter 204: Fire Breathing Sister

"I’m not going anywhere..." she responded.

Believing words required supporting evidence, she met his thrust halfway and ground her core against him, milking him.

Dorian swore he was having a cock attack.

There was simply no other explanation for what she was doing to him. The woman was a menace.

And he was completely obsessed with her.

Dorian pulled her forward, slammed his lips against hers and took all of her passion, all of her love and gave her back in equal measure.

Naomi kissed him back with the same intensity.

And when she came, he caught her cries with his mouth. Her body shook in his arms, tightening. He didn’t let her go, he wanted it all to the very last drop.

Dorian held her through it, keeping her close while her body trembled against him.

Naomi finally sagged against him, her breathing ragged.

Dorian considered being merciful.

But his body reminded him that he was nowhere near finished.

He turned her into the bed, her chest pressed firmly on the mattress. He entered into her once more, her body shivering with sensitivity as he chased his own orgasm. He lowered himself closer, one hand braced against the mattress while his breathing grew rougher. "Fuck."

Naomi made another breathless sound beneath him, and Dorian stopped thinking about anything beyond her and the overwhelming pressure building inside him.

With every spurt of cum that came out of him, his hips jerked in response, body spasming.

He stayed there for a moment afterward, breathing hard, every muscle slowly beginning to unclench. He finally pulled away and dropped onto the mattress beside her.

With a fervent hoarse, he muttered, "Fuck that’s good."

Naomi laughed into the sheets.

Dorian smiled at the sound and ran his fingers through her hair, smoothing it back from her face tenderly. "I want to wake up with you beside me for the rest of my life."

Naomi turned her head toward him, moved closer and pressed a kiss to his shoulder, letting her lips linger there for a moment before settling beside him. "So, I’ll be home throughout today going through order requests. Can I bring you lunch?"

"How about we go out for lunch instead? I love your cooking, don’t get me wrong. I just think it would be nice for us to go somewhere and maybe complain about the food."

Naomi burst out laughing. "That’s just mean." She shook her head, still smiling. "But I’d like to spend time with you," she admitted.

"Good." Dorian shifted onto his side so he could look at her properly. "Or I could leave early and we go check out another house."

Naomi groaned and immediately dropped her face into the pillow.

"That reaction was unnecessary."

"You’re horrible to house hunt with."

"I’m horrible?"

"Yes."

"Says the woman who drags me through hundreds of aisles while grocery shopping."

Naomi pushed herself up slightly and stared at him. "It’s all in one store! I’m not making you drive around the city looking at twenty different supermarkets."

"No, you just make me walk the entire length of one giant building three times because tomatoes from one side of the store are not the same as tomatoes from the other side."

"That happened once."

Dorian sighed, then reached for her and pulled her closer until she was tucked against his chest. His fingers moved slowly along her arm. "I don’t want to make a mistake with you, Naomi. This house was a mistake."

This house carried history for him. It had been built around a version of his life that no longer existed and a marriage that had slowly taught him to associate home with distance, suspicion and failure.

Naomi understood why he wanted something different. She simply didn’t want him turning the search for perfection into another way of punishing himself for a past he couldn’t change.

"Dorian," she said gently, "it doesn’t matter where we live. We could live in a shoebox and we will still be who we are right now."

His mouth twitched. "I’d like a shoebox. It sounds intimate."

For all his jokes, she knew what he meant.

He didn’t want another huge, beautiful house where everyone disappeared into separate corners.

That was why the house search mattered so much to him.

She traced a lazy circle against his chest. "Can a shoebox fit our entire family?" Naomi asked.

"Do we have to invite them?"

"Oh, stop being so silly. You love them and you know it! Serve that line to an idiot!" Naomi chastised. She had been around the Heathcliffes long enough to see through every dramatic complaint he made about them. He could grumble, threaten, complain but none of it fooled her.

The man adored them.

Every single one of them.

"I’m glad you see them as family too," he said.

"Yeah, they’ve been amazing. More than amazing." She paused, then added, "Even Lexie, who I thought most definitely hated me."

Dorian laughed. "Why do you think we named her the fire-breathing dragon?"

That got a laugh out of her.

Dorian shifted slightly beneath the sheets, one arm still around her as he settled more comfortably against the pillows. "You haven’t seen her when she’s mad. Believe me, I’m her older brother and I run from the fire."

"I would pay to see that." Her fingers kept tracing lightly over his chest. "How did your parents end up having such a close relationship even after all these years?"

"I’ve asked myself the same question." Dorian let out a slow breath. "I used to think it was something that happened naturally, you know? You choose someone to spend the rest of your life with, and the rest should come easy as long as you both want to stay committed to each other."

His mouth twisted slightly. "I was wrong."

There were some things Dorian said that carried the weight of all three marriages before her.

He hadn’t gone into any of those marriages planning to fail. He had believed choosing someone should be enough.

Life had clearly laughed in his face.

"And when you ask my parents," he continued, "their answer is simple."
