His back was straight and his stride was steady, revealing no trace of agitation.

But those who knew him understood: the Manor Master was truly furious.

"Senior Brother Shen, what do we do?"

The woman next to Shen Mufeng asked softly.

Her name was Lin Caiwei. She was also an Inner Sect Disciple of Medicine Valley, and her Cultivation was at the Early Stage of Huajin.

"Junior Sister Lin, there’s no need to worry while I’m here. Let’s go see for ourselves what gives this Zhang Su the audacity to storm Hidden Sword Manor alone."

Shen Mufeng took a deep breath, a smile returning to his face.

Yet there was a coldness to his smile.

With that, Shen Mufeng and his group also headed for the Martial Arts Arena.

Zhang Su’s expression was placid as he followed behind, leading Gu Ying and the other two.

Gu Ying’s palms were drenched in sweat, but she gritted her teeth and kept pace, not falling a single step behind.

Wang Hu and Zhou Yong’s faces were pale and their legs felt weak, but they could only force themselves to keep up.

Soon, the group arrived at the Martial Arts Arena.

The Martial Arts Arena was located on the eastern side of Hidden Sword Manor. It was a wide-open space, dozens of yards in diameter, paved with neat bluestone slabs.

Weapon racks lined one side of the field, holding a full array of sabers, spears, swords, and halberds.

On the other side was a row of stone benches, clearly intended for spectators or those taking a rest.

At this moment, Ouyang Jing arrived with Zhou Sandao and Jiang Kui.

"Zhou Sandao! And Jiang Kui..."

Upon seeing the two men, Gu Ying gritted her teeth, her eyes brimming with pure hatred.

She would never forget these two men as long as she lived.

They were the ones who had broken into the Gu Family home in the dead of night. A flash of steel, a spray of blood. Her parents fell into pools of blood, and the cries of her younger brother and sister abruptly fell silent. That night was the worst nightmare of her life.

’It’s Gu Ying...’

Zhou Sandao and Jiang Kui’s expressions changed slightly.

Zhou Sandao was a burly man in his forties with a brutish, fleshy face, carrying a large, broad-bladed saber on his back.

Jiang Kui was leaner, with a weaselly face and shifty, triangular eyes that darted about.

The moment they saw Gu Ying, the color drained from their faces.

’Gu Ying actually came. It looks like she’s really here for revenge.’

Zhou Sandao subconsciously gripped the hilt of the blade on his back, and Jiang Kui quietly took half a step back.

Profound unease filled their hearts.

They were terrified that Hidden Sword Manor would hand them over.

They snuck furtive glances at Ouyang Chuan, trying to read something from the Manor Master’s expression.

But Ouyang Chuan’s expression was grim, betraying nothing.

"Father, Third Uncle has arrived."

Ouyang Jing said in a low voice.

His voice was quiet, but it held an almost imperceptible note of relief.

Clearly, his uncle’s arrival had put him greatly at ease.

Ouyang Chuan nodded slightly and turned around.

A middle-aged man entered the Martial Arts Arena, walking at a deliberate pace.

He was tall and slender, dressed in a grey robe, with an unadorned, antique longsword hanging at his waist.

His eyes were half-lidded, betraying no emotion or spirit.

His hair was casually tied up with a wooden hairpin.

At first glance, he looked like a destitute, frail scholar; there was not the slightest hint of a Martial Artist’s aura about him.

But the moment he appeared, everyone present instinctively quieted their breathing.

"Third Brother, thank you for coming."

Ouyang Chuan said to his third brother, Ouyang Pu.

This Ouyang Pu was the Third Manor Master of Hidden Sword Manor.

But he was obsessed with Swordsmanship.

He was arguably the foremost expert at the Huajin realm in all of Hidden Sword Manor!

Aside from the Clan Elders who had reached Pill Force, Ouyang Pu was the strongest among the manor’s Huajin cultivators.

Clearly, Ouyang Chuan was taking Zhang Su very seriously and not underestimating him in the slightest.

He had dispatched Hidden Sword Manor’s strongest Huajin combatant right from the start.

Ouyang Pu nodded, then walked to the Martial Arts Arena to face Zhang Su from across the field.

He moved with extreme slowness, each step as if measured, his pace perfectly even and unhurried.

Reaching the center of the Martial Arts Arena, he halted, raised his eyelids slightly, and looked at Zhang Su.

His gaze was placid, devoid of any extraneous emotion.

At Ouyang Pu’s appearance, even Shen Mufeng’s expression turned grave.

The smile vanished completely from Shen Mufeng’s face, replaced by a look of intense focus and apprehension.

Lin Caiwei asked curiously, "Senior Brother Shen, you look so serious. Is this Third Manor Master really that strong?"

Although she was an Inner Sect Disciple of Medicine Valley, she had spent most of her years in the valley focusing on her Cultivation and rarely ventured out to gain real-world experience.

She had only heard the names of the Jianghu’s masters, but had never actually encountered any of them.

Shen Mufeng glanced at Lin Caiwei and said softly, "Junior Sister Lin, you haven’t spent time in the Jianghu, so you don’t know how formidable Ouyang Pu is. This Third Manor Master of Hidden Sword Manor is known as the ’Little Sword God.’ His Swordsmanship has reached a level of true Mastery. He once carved a path through the Jianghu with a single sword, slaying more than ten Huajin masters."

As Shen Mufeng spoke, his voice was low, and his gaze was locked on the gray-robed figure in the arena.

Lin Caiwei grew pensive.

Still, she wasn’t entirely convinced. ’After all, I know that most Martial Artists in the Jianghu aren’t all that powerful; they can’t compare to disciples from the Major Sects. Titles like ’Little Sword God’ are just that—titles, meant to be heard and forgotten. There are plenty of Huajin disciples in Medicine Valley, and quite a few of them have outstanding Swordsmanship. How strong could the Swordsmanship of a mere Jianghu Martial Artist possibly be?’

Shen Mufeng knew Lin Caiwei wasn’t convinced, so he didn’t explain further.

He had experience in the Jianghu and knew just how formidable Ouyang Pu was.

’Although I’m quite proud myself, I’m self-aware enough to know that in a real fight, I would likely be no match for Ouyang Pu. For Hidden Sword Manor to have Ouyang Pu step forward shows how seriously they’re taking Zhang Su. They want to ensure a flawless victory!’

Shen Mufeng’s gaze shifted between Zhang Su and Ouyang Pu as he mulled things over.

’Zhang Su must have some skill to dare come here alone. But against an opponent like Ouyang Pu, he probably won’t come out on top.’
