Chapter 199 - 120: Perfecting the Pure Yang Nine Combinations Divine Skill, Even an Embracing Pill Can Fight for First
’I wonder if there’s any way to speed up my Cultivation of the Outer Extreme Divine Technique?’
With that, Zhang Su rose and left the Cultivation Room.
He found Zhao Qianfeng and returned the secret manuals for the three Divine Techniques to his master.
In the main hall of the Instructor Pavilion, Zhao Qianfeng was still lounging in his chair.
He seemed to love this chair, taking every free moment to lie back in it and bask in the sun with his eyes narrowed.
Seeing Zhang Su emerge, Zhao Qianfeng opened his eyes and sat up straight.
"Finished already?"
"I’ve memorized it all."
Zhang Su handed the three booklets back to Zhao Qianfeng.
Zhao Qianfeng took the booklets and carefully put them away.
These were, after all, the Sect’s Supreme Secret Transmissions. He didn’t dare lose them.
"Master, I’ve just been trying to cultivate the Outer Extreme Divine Technique, and it’s very slow. Are there any resources that could help, or some other way to speed up its Cultivation?"
Zhang Su asked directly.
"Gang Force is primarily about fine control over your Inner Strength—the finer, the better. When your control becomes refined enough, you can transform Inner Strength into Gang Force and cover your whole body with it. That is how you step into the Outer Gang Realm!"
Zhao Qianfeng stroked his beard, speaking slowly.
"Under these circumstances, no resources can help with Gang Force. As for a method... the best way is to refine your Inner Strength. Most Martial Artists do it this way, but it takes far too long."
"Since you want a faster way, you could try a different approach: cultivate a special Martial Technique that enhances your control over your Inner Strength, such as the Flying Blade Skill. It’s a Hidden Weapon art. Once you master it, your control over your Inner Strength will reach a whole new level. It’s widely recognized as a way to help with the Cultivation of Gang Force."
As he said this, Zhao Qianfeng’s eyes lit up.
He was reminded of a Martial Art that no one had practiced in a very long time.
Zhang Su’s eyes lit up.
"The Flying Blade Skill?"
He was no stranger to Hidden Weapons.
During the bloody struggle between the two factions in Hengshan County, no holds were barred. He had, of course, seen many Martial Artists use Hidden Weapons.
"Yes. The Flying Blade Skill is extremely unusual. They say the greater your control over your Inner Strength, the more Flying Knives you can control at once. But it also demands a high level of comprehension, making it quite difficult to master. Even for two people who both reach the Perfection realm, the results can be worlds apart."
"Some can only control three or four Flying Knives after reaching Perfection, while others can control ten—the gap is immense. Normally, no one would practice an entire Flying Blade Skill just for a bit of help with their Gang Force Cultivation. It consumes too much energy."
Zhao Qianfeng shook his head.
He had seen plenty of disciples try to take shortcuts, and every last one of them had wasted their energy on all sorts of extraneous Martial Arts.
In the end, they failed to cultivate Gang Force and just wasted their time and energy.
The effort wasn’t worth the reward.
Zhang Su, however, paid it no mind.
’Perhaps for others, mastering an Unparalleled Swordsmanship would consume a great deal of energy.’
’But for me, it’s merely a matter of spending some Compatibility Value.’
As long as his Compatibility was high enough, any Martial Art could be mastered quickly.
"Master, I’m going to cultivate the Flying Blade Skill!"
Zhang Su’s tone was firm.
Zhao Qianfeng glanced at him and was silent for a moment.
He knew Zhang Su’s character. Once his mind was made up, he wouldn’t change it.
"Fine. Take it and have a look. If it proves too difficult, don’t force it."
Zhao Qianfeng stood up and walked to a corner of the Instructor Pavilion. He rummaged through a dust-covered wooden chest and pulled out a thin booklet.
The cover of the booklet was yellowed with age, but the writing on it was still relatively clear.
"Flying Blade Skill."
The three words were written with powerful strokes, exuding a sharp aura.
"I understand."
Zhang Su accepted the Flying Blade Skill secret manual, along with the several Flying Knives Zhao Qianfeng handed him.
These Flying Knives were part of the Instructor Pavilion’s stock. Hardly anyone ever used them, and their blades had grown a bit dull.
But they were good enough for practice.
Zhang Su returned to the Cultivation Room once more.
He carefully opened the Flying Blade Skill secret manual. It was indeed a Hidden Weapon art.
The focus wasn’t power or speed. It was control!
Absolute control!
The core of the Flying Blade Skill wasn’t about how to throw the Flying Knife, but how to control it *after* it left your hand.
Controlling its trajectory, its speed, and its point of impact.
It even involved controlling multiple Flying Knives at once, making them coordinate to form a three-dimensional attack.
This required extremely fine control over one’s Inner Strength.
Zhang Su closed his eyes and focused inwardly.
’Flying Blade Skill: Compatibility 23% (Uninitiated).’
A 23% Compatibility was slightly higher than that of the Three Extremes Divine Technique.
But it still wasn’t very high.
Without the slightest hesitation, Zhang Su spent eight points of Compatibility Value, raising the Flying Blade Skill’s Compatibility to 100%.
The numbers on his panel jumped.
’Flying Blade Skill: Compatibility 100% (Uninitiated).’
His Compatibility Value dropped from 101 to 93.
Zhang Su opened his eyes and picked up a Flying Knife from the stone table.
The Flying Knife was small, only as long as his palm and as wide as two fingers.
The body of the knife was thin and light; it felt almost weightless in his hand.
He practiced over and over again.
With his Compatibility at 100%, Zhang Su encountered no obstacles practicing the Flying Blade Skill.
He picked up a Flying Knife, injected a trace of Pure Yang Force into it, then with a flick of his wrist, the knife flew from his hand.
SWOOSH.
The Flying Knife carved an arc through the air, embedding itself precisely in a wooden post ten paces away.
Zhang Su nodded slightly.
The power and speed of the throw were unremarkable.
But the most crucial part was that he could feel the Flying Knife remain connected to the trace of Pure Yang Force within his body throughout its entire flight.
It was as if an invisible thread connected him to the Flying Knife.
He soon achieved the entry-level.
SWOOSH.
A Flying Knife shot out in an instant, and Zhang Su could now control it completely.
