Chapter 236 - 129: Zhang Su in Seclusion, Breaking Through to Gang Force

  • Next Chapter

The Flying Knives were indeed fast, but their power was too weak. They definitely couldn’t break through Gang Force.

For combat purposes, they were of no use to Zhang Su.

However, Zhang Su didn’t cultivate the Flying Blade Skill for combat.

He used it to train his control over his Inner Strength.

’Sixteen Flying Knives is just about my current limit. It’ll be impossible to control any more in the near future...’

Zhang Su stopped.

Sixteen Flying Knives was already his limit.

By relying on the Spiritual Mechanism within his Inner Strength, Zhang Su’s control over it had become more refined. That was how he was able to control sixteen Flying Knives in such a short amount of time.

Otherwise, Zhang Su’s limit would likely have been just eight or ten knives.

Perhaps in the future, Zhang Su would be able to control even more Flying Knives.

But that would likely take a very long time.

’With sixteen Flying Knives, my control over my Inner Strength has reached its peak... At this rate, the Outer Extreme Divine Technique won’t take one or two years. It will probably only take three months to reach Perfection!’

Zhang Su gauged the current cultivation speed of his Outer Extreme Divine Technique.

At this rate, with a near-infinite supply of Cultivation Resources and the ultimate control over his Inner Strength granted by mastering sixteen Flying Knives, the cultivation speed of his Outer Extreme Divine Technique could advance by leaps and bounds.

It would only take three months to reach Perfection.

This was simply astounding!

Normally, the higher one’s Cultivation, the longer it took to break through to the next Realm.

Going from Outer Force to Inner Force might take a year or so.

Inner Force to Huajin could take two or three years.

And from Huajin to Pill Force, three to five years, or even longer.

Yet Zhang Su’s breakthrough speed was somehow getting faster and faster.

Now, to go from the Pill Force to the Gang Force Realm, he would only need three months at this rate.

’I’ll cultivate with everything I’ve got! I’ll aim to bring the Outer Extreme Divine Technique to Perfection and step into the Gang Force Realm in three months!’

Zhang Su’s plans had always been clear.

Cultivation was fundamental!

Whether it was becoming the number one of the Three Sects or a Celestial Pride,

his goal had always been singular.

Everything was in service of his Cultivation.

He had to use every available resource to rapidly advance his Cultivation.

In addition to advancing his Cultivation, he would also practice some Martial Techniques to improve his combat strength.

This had always been his cultivation strategy, and it had never changed.

However, Zhang Su wasn’t in a rush to enter seclusion.

He still had things to do.

He left the courtyard.

First, he went to choose his own mountain peak.

As a Celestial Pride, Zhang Su was entitled to his own mountain peak.

Since he could live on a quiet peak, Zhang Su naturally wouldn’t choose to remain in Courtyard 266.

After all, with his status as a Celestial Pride, it was inconvenient to stay in Courtyard 266.

He needed his own mountain peak, a quiet place where he could cultivate in peace.

Zhang Su found an Inner Sect Steward to lead the way.

The Steward was a man in his forties, dressed in a black robe, with a deferential expression.

He knew Zhang Su was a Celestial Pride, so his attitude was extremely respectful.

The Guiyuan Sect had many peaks.

But they were not all the same.

The peaks occupied by the Ten Great Martial Veins and the Sect Leader were the best.

Celestial Prides could choose from any of the remaining peaks.

Zhang Su toured the Sect grounds, looking at a few of the vacant peaks.

He wasn’t particularly satisfied with any of them.

As he walked, he came before a majestic peak.

The peak soared into the sky, its upper half shrouded in mist and clouds, appearing and disappearing from view.

A flight of bluestone steps began at the mountain’s base, winding upward until it vanished into the clouds.

Green pines lined the steps, their branches gnarled and strong, their needles a lush, vibrant green.

A mountain breeze rustled through the trees, creating the sound of sighing pines.

This peak was in an excellent location, right in the core area of the Guiyuan Sect and not far from the Sect Grand Hall.

Moreover, the mountain itself was majestic. It was obviously a prime location.

Zhang Su took one look and was quite satisfied.

However, it seemed to be occupied.

"Whose peak is that?"

Zhang Su asked.

The Inner Sect Steward glanced at Zhang Su and said in a low voice, "That is Dragon Transformation Peak, belonging to the Celestial Pride, Yu Hualong."

"Yu Hualong..."

Zhang Su grew thoughtful.

Ever since his defeat at the hands of Shi Buyi, Yu Hualong had been recuperating in the back mountains, refusing to see anyone.

His Dragon Transformation Peak had also become cold and desolate, with few people ever coming or going.

Zhang Su glanced at Dragon Transformation Peak, then turned his gaze to a neighboring peak.

That peak was shorter than Dragon Transformation Peak, but by no means small.

The mountain was covered in lush forests and groves of green bamboo, creating a serene environment.

At its base, a small bluestone path led straight to the summit.

"I’ll take the one next to it."

Zhang Su chose a peak not far from Dragon Transformation Peak.

The two peaks were only a few hundred yards apart, separated by a valley.

A stream murmured through the valley, which was filled with birdsong and the fragrance of flowers.

"Very well. Now that you’ve chosen a peak, you may give it a name. For example, Yu Hualong named his peak Dragon Transformation Peak."

The Inner Sect Steward said respectfully.

Zhang Su thought for a moment.

He cultivated the Pure Yang Nine Combinations Divine Skill.

The Inner Strength in his body was Pure Yang Force.

So, he said, "Let’s call it Pure Yang Peak."

"Understood. The Inner Sect will register the name of your peak. As one of the Sect’s Celestial Prides, you may also select some Inner Sect Disciples and Outer Disciples to serve you. You could even bring people from the outside to Pure Yang Peak to tend to your daily needs. Anyone you bring from the outside will be granted the same status as an Outer Disciple."

The Inner Sect Steward explained.

Zhang Su immediately understood.

’This is essentially a way to build a personal following.’

’The Sect is giving us Celestial Prides a chance to build up our own teams.’

’The Celestial Prides are the core of the Sect.’

’We need people to manage our peaks and handle miscellaneous affairs.’

’More importantly, we need our own factions, our own followers.’
