Unrivaled in another world
Chapter 267: A Miracle
[: 3rd POV :]
Silence.
A silence so absolute that it almost felt unreal.
Only moments ago, the Kingdom of Yemia had been transformed into a battlefield soaked in blood and despair.
The ground had been covered with corpses.
The cries of children.
The desperate screams of soldiers.
The roars of the Ututh.
The collapse of walls.
Everything had blended into a single nightmare.
Yet now…
Nothing remained.
The countless Ututh that had surrounded the kingdom.
The endless black tide that had stretched beyond the horizon.
The monsters that had slaughtered countless kingdoms and races.
Every single one of them…had disappeared.
Not defeated.
Not annihilated.
Not reduced to ashes.
They had simply…ceased to exist.
It was as though reality itself had erased the very concept of their existence.
No corpses remained.
No blood.
No mana.
No traces.
Nothing.
The battlefield became eerily quiet.
The surviving soldiers slowly lowered their trembling weapons.
“W…What…”
One knight stared blankly at the empty plains.
“They’re…”
“They’re gone…”
An elf collapsed onto his knees.
“I…I’m still alive…”
A dwarf rubbed his eyes repeatedly.
“No…”
“This has to be an illusion…”
Even the dragons hovering in the sky slowly descended, unable to comprehend what they had just witnessed.
King Reja stood completely frozen.
His sword slipped from his hand before crashing onto the cracked ground.
His entire body trembled.
“…Impossible…”
Beside him, Queen Lysara of the Elves slowly covered her mouth.
“The Ututh…”
“They’re all gone…”
“They’re really gone…”
The Fairy Queen’s tiny wings stopped fluttering entirely.
She remained suspended in the air while staring toward the empty horizon.
“There were billions…”
“How…”
The Spirit Queen quietly whispered.
“I didn’t sense death…”
“I didn’t sense destruction…”
“It simply…”
“They vanished…”
Even the Vampire King narrowed his crimson eyes.
For the first time in centuries…
Fear appeared within them.
Not fear of an enemy.
But fear toward something…
Far beyond understanding.
Then…
The sky changed.
Golden clouds slowly gathered.
Soft rays of light descended from above.
The violent atmosphere that had consumed the kingdom moments earlier gradually became peaceful.
The wind carried warmth.
Flowers that had been trampled during the battle slowly stood upright once more.
Even the injured felt their pain easing slightly.
Everyone instinctively looked upward.
Three figures slowly descended from the heavens.
At the front…was a young man.
His long silvery white hair flowed gently behind him.
Golden eyes that resembled miniature suns calmly overlooked the world below.
He wore elegant golden white robes that fluttered gracefully despite the absence of wind.
His hands rested calmly behind his back.
Every movement carried an indescribable elegance.
Behind him floated two familiar figures.
One was a breathtaking young woman.
The other was a small girl who looked around curiously with sparkling eyes.
“Big Brother…”
Erika quietly whispered.
“So many people…”
Mika smiled gently.
“They’ve suffered for a very long time.”
Daniel merely nodded.
“I know.”
As they continued descending…
Every pair of eyes remained fixed upon them.
No one moved.
No one spoke.
Then…something unbelievable happened.
The very moment every living being looked directly at Daniel…
Their bodies reacted on their own.
Their knees bent instinctively.
One after another…
People began kneeling
“What…”
The vampire king pupils trembled.
“My body…”
“It won’t listen…”
King Reja struggled desperately.
He tried to remain standing.
He truly did.
But the pressure surrounding Daniel wasn’t oppressive.
It wasn’t forcing anyone.
Instead…his very existence instinctively demanded reverence.
It felt natural.
As though every law of creation had acknowledged someone standing above them.
The entire kingdom bowed.
Even the surviving dragons folded their wings before lowering their enormous heads respectfully.
The atmosphere became sacred.
No one dared breathe loudly.
Daniel looked around calmly.
His expression remained gentle.
Seeing everyone kneeling before him, he quietly sighed.
“I forgot…”
“My passive ability is still active.”
He lightly raised one finger.
The overwhelming aura surrounding him instantly withdrew.
The invisible authority that blanketed the kingdom disappeared.
Everyone suddenly felt their bodies become light again.
King Reja immediately inhaled deeply.
“What was that…
The Fairy Queen clutched her chest.
“I thought my heart was going to stop…”
The Giant King slowly stood.
“I’ve never…”
“I’ve never experienced anything like that…”
The Dragon Queen looked at Daniel with undisguised shock.
“Just his presence alone…”
“It made every instinct inside me submit…”
Even the Vampire King remained silent.
He simply stared at Daniel with unprecedented caution.
Daniel offered everyone an apologetic smile.
“My apologies.”
“I restrained my presence as much as I could.”
“It seems I underestimated its effect.”
No one knew how to answer.
Restrained?
That…was restrained?
Then…what would happen if he stopped restraining himself?
The thought alone terrified them.
King Reja slowly stepped forward.
Although exhausted and covered in blood, he still carried himself with dignity.
He looked directly into Daniel’s golden eyes.
His lips moved slightly.
“…Who…”
His voice trembled.
“…Who are you…?”
The question echoed throughout the silent battlefield.
Everyone held their breath.
They all wanted the answer.
Who was this mysterious existence?
Why had he appeared?
Why had he saved them?
Why did someone so unfathomable descend upon their dying world?
Daniel looked at every survivor before him.
His gaze swept across the ruined walls.
The broken streets.
The countless wounded.
The families embracing one another after narrowly escaping death.
For a brief moment…
He remained silent.
Then a gentle smile appeared on his face.
“My name…”
He spoke calmly, yet his voice reached every corner of the kingdom without effort.
“…is Daniel Valenhardt Vahl’Zareth and I came from another world.”
*Doom*
As Daniel mentioned his name, the entire world trembled and a rippled spread through the gathered rulers.
As his name was mentioned, the entire kingdom tried to muttered the name. However, it was strange for them as the moment before they could speak his name, a sense of foreboding entered their minds.
Their instincts, no, perhaps it was a warning that casually mentioning the name would have its own consequences.
Thus, they retracted their actions as they gulped their salivae.
However, on the other hand, they were quite curious about his words.
Another world?
King Reja frowned slightly.
“You…”
“You are not from Ozamon?”
Daniel shook his head.
“No.”
“I came because I learned of this world’s suffering.”
The rulers exchanged stunned glances.
Queen Lysara stepped forward.
“You crossed worlds…”
“…just to save us?”
Daniel answered without hesitation.
“Yes.”
Silence followed once again.
No one knew what to say.
After everything they had endured…
After losing nearly everything…
Someone had truly come.
Not to conquer.
Not to destroy.
But to save them.
For many of the citizens…
The tears they had been holding back finally fell.
Not from despair but from relief.
For the first time in many years…
They felt hope.
And standing before them…
Was the man who had brought it.
The entire battlefield remained silent.
Not because no one wished to speak.
But because everyone was still overwhelmed by everything that had just happened.
Only moments ago, they had accepted death.
They had watched their people fall before their eyes.
Their last fortress had collapsed.
Their hope had vanished.
Then, in the span of a single word…
Everything changed.
The impossible became reality.
King Reja looked at Daniel for a long moment before slowly lowering his head.
His expression was no longer that of a king addressing another ruler.
It was one of sincere gratitude.
He took several steps forward before bowing deeply.
“Lord Daniel…”
His voice was heavy with emotion.
“On behalf of the Kingdom of Yemia… and on behalf of every remaining race that still lives on this world…”
“…Thank you.”
“We owe you our lives.”
The moment their king bowed…
The rulers of the other races exchanged glances.
Without hesitation…
The Elven Queen stepped forward before bowing just as deeply.
“You have saved not only our people…”
“…but the future of our race.”
The Dwarf King lowered his massive body respectfully.
“You have my deepest gratitude.”
The Dragon Queen folded both hands before her chest.
“Our pride as dragons does not prevent us from acknowledging our benefactor.”
The Giant King struck his fist against his chest.
“We shall never forget this kindness.”
The Fairy Queen floated downward before giving an elegant bow.
“The Fairies thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”
The Merfolk Queen smiled gently despite the tears in her eyes.
“Our seas would have become silent forever if not for your arrival.”
Even the Vampire King…
Who was known throughout the world for his cold and arrogant personality…
Lowered his head.
“You have earned the respect of the Vampire Race.”
Soon…
The commanders.
The generals.
The surviving soldiers.
The citizens.
One after another…
Everyone bowed toward Daniel.
Some were crying.
Others smiled through their tears.
Parents hugged their children tightly.
Old men and women clasped their hands together in prayer.
The battlefield that had once been filled with despair had become filled with gratitude.
Mika quietly smiled.
“They’re genuinely thankful.”
Erika nodded repeatedly.
“They’re all really nice.”
Daniel simply looked at everyone calmly.
He neither appeared proud nor embarrassed.
To him…this was just normal.
King Reja slowly raised his head.
His expression became conflicted.
“…Lord Daniel.”
“There is something I must say.”
Daniel nodded.
“Go ahead.”
King Reja let out a helpless sigh.
“I fear…”
“…we have nothing worthy of repaying you.”
The surrounding rulers fell silent.
Because they all knew it was true.
King Reja continued.
“You saved an entire planet.”
“You saved every remaining race.”
“You erased an enemy that none of us could even resist.”
He bitterly smiled.
“Compared to such a miracle…”
“Our wealth is insignificant.”
“Our treasures are insignificant.”
“Our armies are insignificant.”
He slowly shook his head.
“Even if every kingdom gathered every resource we possess…”
“It would never equal what you have done for us.”
The Dwarf King clenched his fists.
“Our greatest artifacts would probably be ordinary decorations in your eyes.”
The Dragon Queen nodded.
“Our treasures are not worthy of someone like you.”
The Fairy Queen lowered her head sadly.
“We truly wish to repay your kindness…”
“But we simply cannot.”
The Merfolk Queen sighed softly.
“Even if we spent thousands of years trying…”
“I doubt we could ever return this favor.”
King Reja bowed once more.
“If there is anything within our ability…”
“We shall do everything we can.”
“But if you seek repayment equal to what you’ve done…”
“I’m afraid…”
“…it is impossible.”
Silence followed.
Everyone waited nervously for Daniel’s response.
Daniel looked at the countless faces before him.
Then…
A faint smile appeared.
“I never came here expecting repayment.”
King Reja blinked.
“…You didn’t?”
Daniel shook his head.
“No.”
“I didn’t save this world because I wanted something in return.”
A wave of relief spread through the gathered citizens.
However…
Daniel continued.
“But…”
That single word caused everyone to become attentive again.
“There is one thing I wish to ask of all of you.”
King Reja immediately straightened.
“Please.”
“If it is within our power…”
“We will gladly accept.”
Daniel nodded.
“It is.”
He slowly looked across every race gathered before him.
Humans.
Elves.
Dwarves.
Dragons.
Giants.
Spirits.
Fairies.
Merfolk.
Beastkin.
Vampires.
Every single one of them met his gaze.
Daniel’s voice remained calm.
“I wish for this planet…”
“…and everyone living upon it…”
“…to join my faction.”
The rulers became stunned.
“…Your faction?”
Queen Lysara repeated softly.
Daniel nodded.
“Yes.”
“The Faction of Vahl’Zareth.”
