Chapter 2907: Chapter 2907: Fire Domain

Fang Bai did not let his blood rush to his head and charge straight toward the Dark Clan’s territory to rescue the gods of the Emperor’s Palace.

Because he knew that if he did that, not only would he fail to rescue the gods of the Emperor’s Palace, he might even lose his own life in the process.

After all, according to the situation he had learned so far, the Dark Clan had already become the strongest among the Twelve Great Clans of the Chaos Realm. On top of that, with an endless stream of Quantity Devouring Beasts entering the Chaos Realm to join hands with the Dark Clan, the Dark Clan’s overall strength in the Chaos Realm was utterly unmatched.

Though Fang Bai was already a Divine Emperor Realm Expert, when compared to the Dark Clan that possessed billions upon billions of experts, he was as insignificant as a speck of dust.

However, despite the innumerable difficulties in rescuing the gods of the Emperor’s Palace, it was impossible for Fang Bai to give up.

"Right now, the ones fighting the Dark Clan head-on are the Light Principal God and the Fire Principal God. I should first go to the territories ruled by these two Principal Gods and see how things stand! If I can borrow force from them, that would be ideal."

Thinking thus, Fang Bai flew toward the territory ruled by the Fire Principal God.

With Golden City annihilated, the Dark Clan now had one more powerful enemy in the Golden Principal God. From now on they would be forced to open a new battlefront and fight on three sides.

Fang Bai hoped the Dark Clan would make as many enemies as possible. In that way, they would be fighting everywhere, unable to attend to all fronts. Perhaps he could seize the chance amid their chaos to rescue the gods of the Emperor’s Palace.

The Fire Principal God and the Light Principal God were natural mortal enemies of the Dark Principal God. Thus, once the Dark Principal God gave rise to ambition, the first to be attacked were these two mortal enemies. He wanted to exterminate these two clans first, to intimidate the other Principal Gods.

But the Fire Clan and the Light Clan were not easy to bully either. Although their overall strength was somewhat weaker than that of the Dark Clan, the two clans were tightly united, resisting the Dark Clan together. At present they were locked in a stalemate, the war still in a deadlocked state.

Therefore, in order to break the current situation, the Dark Clan had begun continuously summoning Star-Devouring Beasts from the Divine Realm to aid them.

In the vast Divine Realm, darkness was dominant. Experts belonging to the Dark Clan or of the same type as the Dark Clan were beyond counting. Thus, with a single summons from the Dark Principal God who ruled over the domain of darkness, reinforcements from other domains came rushing in without end.

So after repeated large-scale battles, the Dark Clan’s overall strength had not diminished but increased. With this rise and fall in strength, the Fire Clan and the Light Clan were already showing signs of fatigue, shifting from their former balance of offense and defense into a purely defensive posture.

As for the war provoked by the Dark Principal God, the other Principal Gods maintained an ambiguous attitude. As long as the Dark Clan did not infringe upon their interests, most of them remained unmoved, at most expressing verbal opposition, but sending no experts to join the fray.

Now, the Dark Clan had dispatched numerous experts to destroy Golden City. On the surface this was to abduct the gods of the Emperor’s Palace, but in truth they were already prepared to go to war with the Golden Clan. This would force the Golden Principal God to abandon his previous pacification policy and declare war on the Dark Clan.

Otherwise, as the ruler of the experts of the Golden Clan, the Golden Principal God would face the questioning of billions of clan members, and his title and position would no longer be justified.

Between the domains ruled by the Twelve Great Clans of the Chaos Realm, there were distinct boundaries.

For example, within the domain ruled by the Golden Principal God, Golden Power filled everything, whereas in the domain ruled by the Fire Principal God, the God Power of Fire was overflowing. Between these two domains, the boundary was clearly defined.

Based on what he had previously learned in Golden City, Fang Bai flew in the direction of the domain ruled by the Fire Principal God.

Passing along the way through several Divine Cities under the Golden Principal God, Fang Bai discovered that in every Divine City the atmosphere was tense. Experts of the Golden Clan were gathering in large numbers, preparing to rush to the border and go to war with the Dark Clan.

Every expert of the Golden Clan was furious at the Dark Clan’s destruction of Golden City, viewing it as a blatant provocation against the Golden Clan. This blood debt, they believed, must be repaid in blood.

The domains of the Twelve Great Clans in the Chaos Realm were vast and boundless. Fang Bai traversed ten thousand miles in an instant, flying past one Divine City after another, crossing countless mountain ranges, ravines, rivers, and lakes. He did not know how many years had passed before he finally saw, between heaven and earth ahead, a stretch of fiery red.

"This should be the Fire Domain."

Fang Bai continued to fly forward. When he sensed that the God Power of Fire was thickly permeating the surroundings, he knew he had already entered the domain ruled by the Fire Principal God.

In the Fire Domain, Fire Divine Power filled the air, and the temperature was terrifyingly high. Any expert of other clans whose strength was below the Divine Emperor Realm would not dare enter, or they might face severe consequences.

Thus, when the Dark Clan invaded the Fire Domain, all the experts they dispatched were Divine Emperor Realm Experts of the Dark Clan.

And the Fire Divine Power permeating the Fire Domain was an unprecedented "great tonic" for Fang Bai, who possessed an Innate Fire Spirit Root.

As soon as Fang Bai entered the Fire Domain, the Fire Primeval Spirit in his Qi Sea automatically began to circulate the Divine Method, greedily absorbing the God Power of Fire between heaven and earth around him.

It was said that at the center of the Fire Domain there was a wisp of Origin Godflame. The heat released by that Origin Godflame spread over billions of miles, forming today’s vast Fire Domain.

Though the Origin Godflame was just a tiny wisp, it was the source of all the fires in the world. Even a powerful existence such as the Fire Principal God had no ability to control it, and moreover needed to rely on the Origin Godflame for cultivation.

Several two-hour periods later, as the Fire Primeval Spirit in Fang Bai’s Qi Sea absorbed more and more Fire Divine Power, subtle changes began to occur in the Fire Primeval Spirit, and Fang Bai’s strength also rose slightly as a result.

However, Fang Bai knew this was ultimately just the edge of the Fire Domain. If he truly wanted to cultivate, he would have to head to the center of the Fire Domain, where the Fire Divine Power was far more pure and concentrated, and far more suitable for him.

It was Fang Bai’s first time in the Fire Domain, and he was unfamiliar with the area. He could only spread out his Divine Sense and fly toward wherever the Fire Divine Power was thickest, hoping to find a Divine City where he could ask the experts within about the location of the Fire Principal God’s Fire Divine City.

At last, amid the screening mountains, a vast Divine City named "Everflame City" appeared before Fang Bai’s eyes.

Fang Bai was delighted. Releasing a Fire Attribute aura, he landed outside the Divine City and entered along with a squad of experts.

Once inside, Fang Bai discovered that the vast majority of experts in the city were Fire System experts. Each wore a solemn expression and a heavy look, so that the entire Divine City was shrouded in a tense and austere atmosphere.

"Friend, may I ask, has something happened in this Everflame City?"

Fang Bai stopped a Fire System expert and asked.

That expert’s cultivation level was High Rank of the Divine Emperor Realm. He took one look at Fang Bai and realized he could not see through Fang Bai’s aura at all. He was greatly shocked, knowing he had encountered a Divine Emperor Realm Expert, and instantly became respectful.

"The situation at the front lines is unfavorable! Not long ago, in the great battle against the Dark Clan, our Fire Clan joined forces with the Light Clan yet suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of the Dark Clan. The City Lord of this Everflame City, Everflame Divine Emperor, also fell in that battle."

That Fire System expert shook his head and sighed.
