Chapter 113: Chapter 113: She Must Face Social Death

The crowd of onlookers cried out in alarm. Several girls screamed and covered their eyes.

Wu Weizhong was slightly built, while Rick was tall and brawny. Rick had put his full force into the kick. If it connected with Wu Weizhong’s face, the injury would be severe—he might even be disfigured.

The boys who had come with Wu Weizhong shouted for him to watch out as they rushed forward to help.

But amidst the screams, a miracle occurred. Wu Weizhong, who hadn’t managed to react, wasn’t knocked over. Rick’s powerful kick didn’t land on him; instead, Rick himself was the one who went flying.

The onlookers were all stunned to see Rick, who stood well over six feet tall, launch a vicious kick at Wu Weizhong only to go flying backward himself.

"What’s going on?"

"Is this a magic trick?"

As Rick suddenly flew backward, Hu Xiaoxia, who had her arm around his shoulders, was naturally dragged along with him. She stumbled a few steps before falling with a THUD right in front of Wu Weizhong.

Wu Weizhong couldn’t stop in time and accidentally kicked Hu Xiaoxia as she lay on the ground, tripping over her in the process.

"Damn it, who kicked me?" Rick struggled to his feet, spitting a few curses in a language no one understood before switching to Chinese. "Get the fuck out of my..."

Before he could finish his tirade, his legs gave out, and he dropped to his knees with a THUD.

Those standing farther away hadn’t seen clearly how Rick had suddenly gone flying, but the people right next to him had seen it plainly: someone had sent him flying with a single kick.

But for Rick to struggle back up only to suddenly drop to his knees again without anyone touching him left them completely baffled.

Rick himself had no idea why he had suddenly knelt.

But he knew someone had just ambushed him, sending him flying with a kick from behind.

His eyes scanned the crowd hatefully, and he finally spotted the person who had attacked him.

A Chinese guy of average height, wearing a pair of large-framed glasses.

He got up, unleashed another stream of unintelligible curses, and then stormed angrily toward the guy.

But he didn’t expect that after only two steps, he would once again drop to his knees with a THUD.

This time, Rick clearly felt something strange. A small object struck the back of his knee, and he knelt uncontrollably, nearly face-planting on the ground.

Since he had been moving quickly, he knelt with great force. The THUMP was so loud that people nearby felt the ground shake.

Rick let out a pained scream, yelled for a bit in his incomprehensible language, but still managed to get up quickly.

"Fuck, you dare kick me!" Rick’s Chinese wasn’t fluent, but his grasp of the national profanities was excellent; everyone understood him perfectly.

Another wave of gasps went through the crowd. The sheer presence of the big guy, who was well over six feet tall, was imposing enough, but combined with his dark, muscular build, some of the girls watching the spectacle couldn’t help but scream.

Unbelievably, before Rick could even reach his target, he was sent flying once more.

This time he flew even farther, only stopping when he crashed into a nearby tree.

His scream this time was earth-shattering. After the heavy impact, his entire body was left draped over a fork in the tree’s branches.

"Holy shit, that was awesome!" someone in the crowd applauded and cheered.

"Who is that badass? How can he send a guy that huge flying with a kick!"

Someone else added that guys like him get their kicks toying with naive Huaxia girls and deserved to be taught a lesson!

"Why is Teacher Wang wearing glasses? And his scarf is pulled up so high!" a student who recognized Rick’s assailant whispered to his friend. "Is he trying not to be recognized?"

"Keep your voice down!" his friend quickly whispered back. "Of course Teacher Wang doesn’t want people to know! He’s a teacher!"

"Got it!"

It went without saying. This was definitely Wang Chenning’s handiwork.

Of course, he couldn’t let his student be beaten up. But he was also worried about the bad impression it would create if a teacher got into a public brawl, which was why he wore glasses and a scarf to hide his face.

Anyone who didn’t know him well wouldn’t be able to recognize him.

After sending Rick flying twice, Wang Chenning casually stepped back, folded his arms, and watched the scene unfold as if he had nothing to do with it.

Hu Xiaoxia, who had been screaming in fear, scurried over and struggled to pull Rick down from the tree branches. "Rick, Rick, are you okay? Are you hurt?"

Rick struggled to his feet, shoved Hu Xiaoxia aside, and, still cursing, staggered toward Wang Chenning again.

"You yellow-skinned pig, how dare you..."

Before he could finish the insult, a loud SMACK echoed, and he was sent flying once again.

Along with Rick’s massive body, several white teeth went sailing through the air.

Rick’s constitution was actually quite decent. Even after being sent flying by Wang Chenning’s slap and losing a few teeth, he still managed to get up quickly.

Unfortunately for him, he didn’t realize that playing dead would have served him far better than seeking impulsive revenge. Losing his cool would only lead to him getting hurt even more badly.

Wang Chenning landed a vicious side kick with his right foot on the other side of Rick’s face.

Another scream, a few more white specks flying through the air, and Rick once again crashed hard into the same tree he’d been tangled in before.

This time he was completely stuck in the fork of the branches, unable to free himself no matter how much he struggled.

Wang Chenning walked over to Wu Weizhong, who was still in a daze, and patted him on the shoulder. "Squad Leader Wu, a woman like that isn’t worth getting into trouble over. Today wasn’t a total loss; it let you see her for the manipulative ’green tea’ she is. Better to find out now than after you’re married, right? Look at it from another angle and you might feel better. After all, you got to have fun with someone else’s woman for quite a while."

Wu Weizhong was taken aback by Wang Chenning’s words. ’Teacher Wang has a point.’ Suddenly, the ache in his heart lessened.

Terrified by the sudden turn of events, Hu Xiaoxia scurried to the side, trembling. She covered her mouth and began to sob.

After a few sobs, she ran back to the sidewalk tree, trying to help up the half-dead Rick.

"Bitch!" Wu Weizhong spat hatefully. "I must have been blind to ever fall for someone like you."

Hu Xiaoxia looked in terror at her ex-boyfriend, his face a mask of rage mixed with a hint of gloating. She opened her mouth but couldn’t find any words.

Wang Chenning pulled Wu Weizhong a couple of steps away, using his student’s body as cover to subtly tap Hu Xiaoxia’s waist twice.

A moment later, Hu Xiaoxia let out another sudden shriek, quickly squatting down and burying her face in her knees.

The students in the crowd immediately started gloating.

"A ’green tea’ is always good at acting. Her boy toy gets beaten up, so now she’s playing the victim!"

"Exactly! It’s so disgusting. We have to make sure everyone hears about this and teach her a lesson in how to be a decent human being!"

"We have to cancel her!"

...

"Huh? Did she wet herself?" a sharp-eyed student quickly noticed something was off. "She got scared so bad she pissed her pants."

A large puddle of liquid was slowly spreading out from where Hu Xiaoxia was squatting, and those nearby could smell a certain... distinctive aroma.
